We've Bounced Back like Tigger SB09 TR NEW 9/11 CLOSING TIME....

Julie,
What a wonderful, poignant trip report you've written. I think if everyone read your trip report, they would get at least one thing out of it for themselves. Personally speaking, I've received many things to laugh, cry, smile, and think about. I read what you've "noted" in your last day report and just want to get mad at anyone who would think you were looking for sympathy or trying to preach (I'm sure they're out there). People who've read your entire trip report should know that you have spoken from your heart and soul, sharing your moments of jubilation and despair.

I don't personally know you, but honestly, you can get sense a good person when you listen to one. I would not for one moment think anything but good intentions from you. I feel like I've learned from your experiences, even if you didn't want to teach me.:teacher: Now I'm ranting, but I've only got one thing left to say. God only gives us what he thinks we can handle. In my estimation, he must think very highly of you!

I loved that family picture, too! :goodvibes

It's fun to go back and review each day...

Kathy

Yes it was a fun way to recap the POly 08 TR so I thought I'd do again here....more days coming up soon!

Julie,
God only gives us what he thinks we can handle. In my estimation, he must think very highly of you!

Oh thank your friend,

now you have me crying again...but happy little tears

and yes it is good if God does hold me higher than I can somedays...I know many days I only make it thru due to HIS amazing love and strength....

I love the way you're re-caping the days! It's like a slow spiral. First the trip, then the long trip report, then the short recaps....we get to relive it again.

I hope you're feeling a little less stressed today. Here's a  in case you need it. :)

Looking forward to Day 2!

Awesome way to recap the report!

Hey everyone

I'll get back to the recap super soon! Today is my 35th b-day....fun for me :goodvibes

On Friday I celebrated my Dad's birthday and he and I went to a Chicago CUBS game, we were worried we might get rained on, but YAY we didn't plus not only did we have great seats but they WON!!!!! :woohoo:

It was so fun!

100_4031.jpg

My Dad & I at the game...

Afterwards, we all (my parents and siblings) got together at my parents house for pizza and dessert. We also hung out, talked, laughed, talked about my brothers upcoming wedding (next March), played w/ the kids, opened presents, pulled names for the sibling/spouse Christams grab-bag, and played a game.

It was a great night!

Yesterday, was a normal life day, w/ cleaning, laundry etc., but today after church our small group (close group of friends and their children) are coming over for brunch. It should be a fun afternoon!

I will try to post some mosre Days-recap later tonight or during the week to finish up, plus post some pic's of my b-day presents.

Happy Disney Day!

Scrappie (J-)

from Michael"

Daily Highlights: Day 2) Friday, 3-27-09 Mom’s Birthday

“Make Mom’s Birthday Magical”

Where we Went: Magic Kingdom and CSR at night (dinner and operation: Mom’s b-day dinner and room surprise)

What we Discovered: that the Birthday Fast Passes were AWESOME! After some minor confusion on how they worked we realized they were instant in/on the FP attractions…EXCELLENT!

What we Liked: The new additions in the POC attraction, especially the Davy Jones smoke/water screen & Jack singing at the end…oohh he looked so REAL!

What we Didn’t Like: Michael and Mae did not like the HM this time, and a bit of slow service at times at LTT.

Favorite Attraction: for me BTMRR riding front car w/ Aldine and everyone POC!

Souvenirs we Got: Margaret- set of Disney character squezzies, Aldine- princess crown, Mae- blue MM hair clip, Michael- Wheezy plush, me- 2 LTT glass mugs

Memorable Moments: Margaret going up to the characters (Mary Poppins and Daisy) the funny CM named Rachel who sang to my Mom, the b-day FP experience, lunch at LTT and having them sing to my Mom, giving away some FP’s to those “guys in the hats” at Space Mt., and Mom & Dad enjoying their surprise dinner and the decorated room.

Favorite Picture of the Day:

The wonderful family shot...how more perfect can it get! :wizard:

Daily Highlights: Day 3) Saturday, 3-28-09

“Soarin, Test Track, Morocco, and France Oh My!”

Where we Went: Epcot-pre-park opening ADR and toured East side of FW & WS till mid afternoon, CSR in the evening (dinner and pool)

What we Discovered: That you need to arrive even earlier at Epcot for pre-park opening ADR…longer walk and wanted to look at all the topiaries

What we Liked: The Princesses at Akershus and how Margaret loved to go by them, especially Belle and Sleeping Beauty.

What we Didn’t Like: the heat was already a factor, warmer then we thought it weould be in March…Michael having a melt-down w/ change of plans before going on SSE (but in the end he LOVED it) and feeling a bit rushed and cranky w/ the whole KPM thing (my own meltdown)

Favorite Attraction: Soarin, it was great! And TTw/C was very funny

Souvenirs we Got: Mae- French Minnie plush & trading pins, Michael- MM garden gnome statue for upcoming b-day & trading pins, Aldine- Tink messenger bag for upcoming b-day & trading pins, Margaret- Tink sweatshirt, and we got the “free” pictures from the Princess breakfast

Memorable Moments: Walking thru Epcot all empty, very cool! Loved how all the Princesses were very nice and interactive, so happy to finally eat at Morocco CS place…very good! The PP pictures of Aldine in France painting, great timing, wonderful luck w/ our bus transportation again and Matt, Dad, and older kids having a chance to go to quiet pool at night.

Favorite Picture of the Day:

Margaret and Aurora..two very pretty Sleeping Beauties princess: princess:

Daily Highlights: Day 4) Sunday 3-29-09

“Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, It’s off to DHS we Go!”

Where we Went: Disney Hollywood Studios

What we Discovered: the GAC wasn’t going to be able to accommodate all of us, because of our party size (limit 6 guests). First time viewing One Man’s Dream…it was so wonderful, a great attraction for any Disney fan!

What we Liked: TSM was great fun, it delivered yet again! Doing the Drawing Academy w/ Aldine and making our “Tiggers”, the Character EXPLOSION we experienced inside the Animation Hub.

What we Didn’t Like: the beginning of the Animation Tour (could do w/out) and my horrible wait and bad service to get the Soy milk-box at ABC Comm.

Favorite Attraction: for me ToT w/ my Dad and watching Margaret enjoying PHDL

Souvenirs we Got: Princess picture for little girls room, WDW & Cruise line beach bucket picture for the porch, Matt- Walt & MM shirt, Aldine- Eeyore plush, Michael- pennies, Stitch Yoda & Villains’ book.

Memorable Moments: having to really wear those ponchos right off the bus and first half of our day-YUCK, the great character experience we had w/ so many pictures and signings…probably a once in a lifetime experience! Our family picture session w/ Mickey Mouse and how he played w/ Margaret (blanket & snuggle) Aldine just loved meeting Kim Possible, Mae meeting Bolt, and Michel meeting Mike!

Favorite Picture of the Day:

Eating at SRC in the rain in our ponchos....
