We just booked a Western cruise for January. What are the best things to do in the ports of call. Thankyou.

Thats a tough question because everyone likes something different.we did the Jungle hike at Cozumel and it was fun. They also had some ATV's that had an excursion there through the same area that really looked like fun, sorry I dont know the name but it was a jungle ride on them, so you should be able to read the descriptions on line and know which one it was.

Key West has so much stuff. 1st class snorkeling, any snorkeling excursion will be awesome!!
last time we just walked through town and did the historical museums, light house, southern most point, pirate museum, shopping and then back off the ship late to watch the sunset from Mallory square where there is lots of partying and jugglers and such. All of this is walking distance from the pier. the fartheset place is the southern most point which was about a mile walk.

We havnt done it yet but family said the sunset catamaran excursion is great.

Grand Caymen we did a city tour, it was ok, but nothing to brag about. We didnt really care for this place as it was too modern and didnt have that tropical island feel to it.
Family snorkeled there and loved it.

Sorry I cant be of more help to you, just share our experiences some.

good luck,
a great place to learn about excursions is to go to the trip reports thread and look for trip reports for a western cruise. People will often post details about their excursions and are willing to answer any questions you may have about them too.

Grand Cayman: Captain Marvin's Stingray City and Snorkel Tour
Cozumel: Chankanaab Park (without dolphin swim)
Key West: Aquarium (small) and sunset at Mallory Square
Castaway Cay: Depends on what time you go; the water can be quite chilly during the winter;

Have fun! :)

You can get some great ideas by reading over the trip reports for the western cruises on the trip report forum. There is also a lot of information on the FAQ thread at the top of this forum. :)
