A question about moving an onboard rebooking.

If you move a 7 day booking to another date but add the next week to make a B2B, do you get the onboard discount from the 2nd week as well with it being one booking, or am I being too hopefull?

I think you are being too hopeful. It would still be two separate bookings. It sure is going to be hard doing just a seven day now.

Ok, lisa watched all the tivo..just finished Lost...OMG...so good. I liked the pop up episode they had before the final one. It was very helpful to me!

Don't tell me anything. I just got back and I'm happy to say that I still have 50% available left to record so I got all of my shows and nothing was deleted to make more room! But I haven't watched anything yet so don't tell me what happened!

Just starting to watch our recorded tv shows. Have 4 Dr. Who's and 4 Heroes to watch!!! :)

That is what I really would have thought! Ah well!!!

How about thoughts on cruising in hurricane season?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: So here's what happened to me: a few days before the canal I bought 5 postcards and 5 stamps, which I promptly lost. I looked everywhere in my room (no one to blame but myself--rats!) so I went to guest services and bought 3 more, which I addressed and mailed. Of course, when I was packing I found the 5 postcards and stamps! So I think that now I'll just write them out to my friends, put my address on them, scuff them around a little bit so they look like they've gone through the mail and then give them out to people with the explanation that I didn't know their addresses so I just sent them to my house. Whadda ya think?;)

Sounds like WAY to much work for me.....

DH and I have cruised DCL at the height of hurricane season every Sept. since 2002. The weather is almost always perfect because the captain will take you to perfect weather if at all possible. As long as you don't have your heart set on certain ports of call it is a great time to cruise. Of course there never is a guaratee that you will make your ports anyway. We did have to outrun a hurricane one time and miss CC. We were diverted from an Eastern to a Western one time. And another time we had to miss Key West. None of this mattered. They were all great cruises.:thumbsup2 This is the first Sept. we will not be cruising since 2002. The WB repo was definitely worth missing this Sept. though. It was our best cruise to date!

Nope, you needed to have booked that second week while on board. Since there are two of you, you could have gotten the OBC and discount for two trips. At least that's what the chickie on the ship told Kathe.

Hey guys.
I was not on your cruise - In fact I don't try my first till November.
I'm just perusing and I also happen to be a friend of ibouncetoo.
That's how I got here :tiptoe: I follow her everywhere. ;)

Any way - you guys are quite the bunch of
Nutty Chatterboxes.

Gaaawd - I hope we have nutty chatterboxes on our cruise. :lmao:

Hey Wally! You can follow me anywhere. If you want a chatty group, you need to book a longer cruise! :lmao: So, when you are on board in November, book the 9/12/09 7 day Easter to Tortula! :thumbsup2 Oh heck, just book it now, the price will probably go up so much by November, you'd be better off with today's price. ::yes::

.

Kids, I've updated some of the links on page one. Let me know if there's anything I should add.

They will only give you the discount for one week...not two. If you had booked two weeks while onthe ship (one for you and one for John) then you could have made this arrangement

I want to do this last cruise again, but in the meantime..........!!;)

One sad thing. We came home to the news that our very new neighbours, who we really like and get on with really well had had dreadful news. Quintin, the husband has just been diagnosed with a rampant malignant brain tumour. There is nothing that can be done. Treatment would only extend life and not for long. They say he might have only had it for 2 weeks, and he could die very soon. How awful and unbelievable in just such a short time.

I am so sorry...we are reminded time and time again that life is short aren't we. This is exactly why I did this cruise with Daniel.

Your neighbor sounds a lot like what Sen Kennedy is going though here in the USA

I have cruised during Hurricane season....DON'T WORRY. You can do nothing about the weather any time of the year. The chances of a hurricane are very small...just buy insurance then there is no worries at all...

Since Sukie's documentary is on PBS, we should be able to see it online after the airing date. Usually it works that way.

Connie

So sorry to hear about your neighbor. Will keep him and his family in our prayers.

Ian, some people never know when they have a good thing. Hope your dogs are okay. Bet they were glad to see you. Mickey was thrilled to have us home and will barely let us out of his sight even now. Our bad news was one of our 5 cats got out while we were gone (all are strictly indoor cats) and hasn't come home yet. He was Mickey's favorite playmate (the other cats try to ignore him) so Mickey really misses him. Hope things work out better for you next time.

Carol

The dogs are fine, although we wondered why they were so subdued when we returned.

I'm still amazed that someone could be so stupid to screw up such a good situation and such easy money.

So very sorry to hear about on of your cats gone missing. I hope you find him soon.

Almost ALL of our cruises have been in the Carribean at hurricane season!

And the TransAtlantic was not, But it was the roughest of all!

!

I have totally given up on sending post cards! Either I forget, or my friends get them 2 weeks after I have been home already!

Monica and Cheri
:cool1: Sounds like we are starting a B2B sept 19-26 reunion :thumbsup2
So glad to hear the two of you are thinking of joining me and staying on board after the Tortola cruise :cool1: My DD said today she maybe wants to join me on that cruise ::yes:: She can't make it for both, but I'm hoping she is able to join me for 1 week anyway! I'm waiting to find out what happens to her at work tomorrow(she's probably getting bumped from her job due to store closings :( ) but either way, I think she will NEED this to look forward to, and her DH says to go for it (he doesn't want to cruise :confused3 ) as long as I will be buying her DOD's ;)

Kathe

Are you going on the September 12, 2009 Eastern Carribean?
