That was ONTARIO, not CANADIAN. HUGE difference! There's Ontario and then there's the RoC (Rest of Canada). Right PJ?

I'll have you know that I was even on the phone with the Registrar General's Office in Thunder Bay (as if that was going to do something).

I've lived in Illinois since 1983 and I've never had the occasion to call Springfield or ever talk to the state government. Though, come to think about it, I've never even been to Springfield. I don't even think I can find it on a map.

Hey Nan...

I went up to the lake to see that piece of property I was telling you about. Nice piece of land... has lots of trees that will need to be cleared... here's some shots... picture the one with the clouds as nice sunny days... puffy WHITE not GRAY clouds... crystal clear BLUE water...

Oh... and the Loons came to greet us.. (for anyone who has seen "On Golden Pond" a Zillion times on AMC!!!)

This one is on Dunham Mountain - my business is named Dunham Oak after that mountain and another one on the far left side of the next picture...

That's a native DUCK...not a loon...

This is Northwoods, where I started coming up to the lake when I was only 4...like last year... It's a trailer camp that I was thinking of getting a place in, but they are older places and I wanted something new and my own...

And if you face the street side... you get 700 feet of THIS... (Angie...Dennis... imagine a nice house with a nice big driveway that you can park the RV in...)

So... Am I nuts????

Just the thought of clearing the property and building a HOUSE scares me silly!!!

Oh and here's a picture when it's NICE up there... taken last summer...

I'll tell you, we'd come to visit.

It's not necessarily the part of upstate that MY people are used to frequenting, but we'll come.

Are you planning on building a Bungalow Colony? (That's a holiday camp à la Billy Butlin's for our UK friends. I don't even know what to tell the rest of you.)

I am fine, starting to get the day started. It is a beautiful day, and seeing how all the errands were taken care of yesterday, I might just go for wander with my camera, after breakie and a go at the Wii Fit.

How is everything over there in the north?

You said something about the summers once being hot over there. I loved the summers when I lived there because it never got too hot and the winters because it never got too cold.

I'm totally safe. We did decide to cancel our beach party because highway one will be affected by this fire.

It is cold today and raining on and off!!! apparently it was hot for a few days whilst we were on the cruise, and it was warmish when we got home for a few days, but for ten days or so it has not been nice!! Our heating has been on a couple of evenings!!

We really haven't had a good summer for a quite a few years now.

Happy belated birthday to Marilyn's John
Here we are waiting and waiting for summer to come - been way to much rain But I'd rather have 70's than 100's so I'll just enjoy what I have.

Going to have to go to bed soon - got to get up and get 2 birthday cakes baked tomorrow. My nephews have the same birthday (just 7 years apart) so barbecue at DSis's house on Sunday. I was so happy on Wed, when I found our my soon-to-be 16 nephew was excited that his auntie is going to make his cake. It helped to balance all the negative crap at work.

Sometimes its good having to work - kids are at daycare instead of telling me they are bored everyday. Only hear it on weekends! But I am jealous of everyone talking about going to pools and beaches

Have fun making the cakes and enjoy the party!!

No, not going back to bed. I've actually been up an hour. I went to bed quite early last night, so I'm rested and ready to go. Have to mow today for sure. No more avoiding it! Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful day, so I'm considering having one or 2 of Tyler's friend's over to play in the back yard. Must mow in order to do that. People are already out mowing, so I'll join the crowd. Then I'll finish watching a couple movies I rented yesterday, then might take a nap.
