Friday, September 5th (or maybe the 4th) at the Orange County courthouse

Well that's close to us. I'm sure you'll let us know the details as it gets closer. Maybe we can have a cruise reunion for the California bunch.

Well, I eat all the time! :rotfl2: (Sorry Gaylean, couldn't resist!) :rotfl:

I was typing fast because I was also IMing Bubba AND Venetia at the same time! It was rather funny because she was reading over hear and answering me on IM and I didn't know what she was talking about. Please correct me whenever you can. Someone needs to do it when Jon (the English professor) isn't around. I call him that because he thinks he is. Do you guys remember Ross from Friends :lmao: :lmao:

CAN IT BE 5:00 YET?! Yup, once again, NO WORK for me to do. One attorney I'm working for isn't in yet and the other won't be in all day. Good grief, this is going to be a long day!

You ask this everyday and every time I look at my clock and try to figure out what time it is.

We didn't use our gift certificate debarkation day...went to Goofy's Kitchen instead. Speaking of which, I think the quality of food there is not what it used to be....at least for breakfast/brunch. :worried: Or it was overpriced for the quality you got. Breakfast at Storytellers is much better....taste-wise.

Man...this week just flew by. I didn't do so well in the eating healthy department...there was fried chicken and pizza consumed in inappropriate amounts. Time to restock on healthy supplies and get cracking. I just want to focus on loosing twenty pounds...that's a managable number to shoot for. ::yes::

Happy Birthday John, hope you have/had a great day!

Glad to hear Dr Hug is finally feeling better too.

Ginamarie, did I say "Congrats" yet? Well, I have now!

Monica, have a great time!

Well, time to go dig up last year's self appraisal form...time for the old annual performance review and puny pay raise. Good news is, when they froze the retirement fund, but enhanced the 401K, I'm getting an EXTRA 2% (of my annual salary) in company funds for the next seven years, so that's like a 2% raise above and beyond whatever my regular pay raises will be. Just got to remember as soon as they put it in to move it from stock to one of my better performing funds (don't want to have too much in company stock....that old Enron feeling, you know).

ok.....enough blathering...time to get this FRIDAY started!

.

Happy Friday

Thank you so much. We'll be in WDW in January or February so we can celebrate by having dinner or tea at the GF (ask Monica).

Yesterday, when I posted, we had just arrived home. All I can say is we were numb. We're not used to things going wrong. Sukie said in the airport waiting to go home, that I normally plan everything with military precision, so he's just not used to stuff not happening.

As I said, we've been together 21 years, so we can wait, though I have to say, we were really starting to get excited.

I have to agree with you, everything happens for a reason.

We'll now just plan on California, after all, a Californian marriage license is not to shabby, is it?

I have one at is working for me!

We feel the same way. We want to add on but we don't want to stay here. There is an area really close to us that is more secluded and we would prefer to live in an area like that. The prices all still too high for us. We feel like we are stuck here so we might as well be comfortable. We bought the house from Jon's aunt after his grandpa died. There is a few things about the house that are great and you can tell someone built it for themselves and not someone else. We would be giving up a lot if we moved.

good luck with what you decide. sounds like a similar spot to us, but you have land land land and that is great. seems better to make the decission for us now rather than regret doing nothing in 10 more years.

I know. There is a lake that has water slides really close so we will do that today. Poor Brooke just got off a 15 day Disney cruise :lmao:

funny how they now think they "need" to have such a nice standard of entertainment. I seem to remember going outside and playing in the dirt with rocks and sticks and being happy when I was a kid. :lmao:

Gaylean, do you have brooke in any of the community classes? DD is in ballet, tap, gymnastics, swim lesson and free swim, theater camp, cooking and under the sea camp later this summer. You have that morning walk around the Ontario Mills mall each morning that is fun to do too. You don't have to stay in just the Ontario classes too, you could get her into all the surrounding city programs as well. Newport has hula lessons, surf camp, princess class. Would that help with the boredom factor? I won't give you the stats on kids who are bored, it would curl your hair on what happens to them. Of course, over processing has similar effects! :confused3

She is doing swimming and a few things with girl scouts. We are booked all year with gymnastics, soccer and now she wants to do cheer leading. It's hard because a lot of time Ethan has things going on at the same time :faint: I TRY to take the summer off from MOST activities because most of our friends have pools and we love to go to the beach. The problem is that all of our friend's kids didn't get out of school until today. She'll be better now, I hope. One of my friends just called to invite us over to swim so we will go there instead of the lake. I've taken them to the movies and the library for a little program they do. She just wants to swim or go to the beach. I think she is spoiled by the cruise. The other problem I have is that Ethan likes to sleep in and stay around the house so I'm pulled in two directions.

I agree. I'm going to talk to Jon about it tonight. We need more space!

I know what you mean. My mom didn't take us places every day or even every week. They did have fun on the trampoline yesterday so I think I'll go with that some days.
