We have been posting about 10 pages a day it seems so we may not make the magic 250 until you get back. Someone will post the new thread in one of the last posts here I am sure. This group has gotten good at that. And if you do lose us, you could send someone a PM and get the link. We don't want anyone lost!

I'm so sorry to hear the news Ian. We were thinking about you guys all day yesterday. But you're right a CA license is a great one to have.... I have one and so do several others on this thread!

I know what you mean, I plan things so perfectly that when they go so wrong it surprises us and I have to say there is a reason for it... although I never know what it is at the time

You'll have a great day that day. BTW, they were running all the totals of marriage licences granted on Monday and it was record totals in every county. In SoCal we had well over 1000. The pictures of everyone sleeping over night in a long line were great. First day of Kindergarten is on Thursday, so we'd love to come over and witness and/or celebrate with you two. We'll already be in a bit of shock after drop off, so it should be a great day (either day.) Do let me know if you need any help.

It's not the money, but it did strike me as a little sad that we were going to pay for witnesses.

On the positive side of things, given that there'll be people to celebrate with us, it gives new meaning to this being the "real" wedding.

We are having DD, DSIL and 2 friends over for dinner on Sat. They want to see our trip photos. DrHug bought a new TV yesterday that has a port to plug his IPod into. He can put the photos on the IPod and show them on the 37 inch TV. I can't wait to see how that works. Making manicotti. Otherwise, I'm mowing that yard today , a bit of grocery shopping and some cleaning.

It will be great seeing the photos on such a big screen - but.....how big will that make us all look?!!!

Best of luck with this. I'm right there with you. I've gained SO MUCH weight since the cruise. Must be a delayed gain or something because I got off the same cruise a couple pounds lighter than when I got on. Anyway, none of my clothes really fit anymore and I refuse to buy a bigger size. I just can't let that happen. SO.....I keep telling myself "today will be the day I start" working out or eating better, but haven't been able to force myself yet. Maybe this week.

Holly, I'm so pleased you are feeling so much better and we can really see this in your posts. Sorry about the weight gain. I am struggling too. I think I just want to keep eating after the cruise. I am so fed up of dieting or 'eating healthily' at the moment. I will do it soon however. I hope you take yourself in hand before any more wiight goes on.

Hi Ken & Shannon! You guys must be like Deb and John, sitting together with your individual computers and DISsing away!

That's exactly right. It's even worse is that our computers are on the same table back to back. So at least we do get to peak over our monitors and look at each other every once in awhile.

Ken, I ordered that lens for my camera. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow! Used some of my dog-sitting $$ to get it. I'd like to take it to DL in July and try some night shots and fireworks shots but I don't know. I'll be with my nephew and the trip will be all about rides and getting wet, at least during the day. Maybe I can stash it in a locker and bring it out at night when things settle down...oh wait, I don't think things ever settle down with a 10 year old boy, do they?

You could always take a ziplock baggie to put the camera in for the wetter rides.

I did use the camera and that lens on Pirates and even on Splash Mountain
(both pics are from WDW) without a ziploc bag. Remember one of the nice features is it is supposed to be to handle a bit of rain on it - not a good dunking like on GRR, but properly protected it can survive that too.

do you have a pool now or want one?

I think you know that we live in the house I grew up in. We bought it from my parents 10 years ago. We've decided to look into a big remodel this fall. Seems unlikely that we will find our "perfect" house in half moon bay, so might as well live here the next whatever years more comfortably. Lots of our neighbors have done big add ons in the last year or so. we might even go to a 2nd story. I just don't want to live here for another 10 years feeling like we are compromised.

We feel the same way. We want to add on but we don't want to stay here. There is an area really close to us that is more secluded and we would prefer to live in an area like that. The prices all still too high for us. We feel like we are stuck here so we might as well be comfortable. We bought the house from Jon's aunt after his grandpa died. There is a few things about the house that are great and you can tell someone built it for themselves and not someone else. We would be giving up a lot if we moved.

Jon just woke me up and he told me to hurry so I put on the same thing I wore the day before. I don't know why I had to hurry because all we did was sit there for two more hours before we went through a lock. A shower would have been nice on that hot day

I got DH John a Garmin nuvi 660 GPS for the car. He loves toys like that. We usually use a GPS when we rent so we know how to get around to where we want to go. So I bought him one to keep that will do everything including audio books. Cool! Many things to play with.

PLEASE NOTE THE SIGNATURE.....I've been busy booking my next DISNEY fixes. We're scheduled to do WDW at the beginning of Oct 08. Then I booked B2B Tortola East and West for Sept 09. I'm happy now knowing that there is more mouse time in my future.

I know. There is a lake that has water slides really close so we will do that today. Poor Brooke just got off a 15 day Disney cruise

Good afternoon everybody! Some work managed to find me earlier, so I actually had something to do for a bit, then it was lunchtime. Walked for a little over 1/2 hour on lunch because it was so sunny and warm finally!

Gaylean - have you not scrapbooked before, or are you just trying to come up w/ ideas for the new books?

I have one 12x12 finished and it is of our adventures before kids, including my first pregnancy. Then I have Ethan's baby years done and I just need to add a few more to complete it. And Brooke's is barely started and I have one for only vacations. This vacation will go in a separate scrapbook and I want to do it before I finish the others because I want to remember things from the cruise to write on the pages. I have a 12x12 and a small one that is not 8x10. It is smaller. So I was trying to figure out a way to use both. Maybe one for pictures and one for other stuff but then I would have to cut that stuff up. I don't know what to do but they are both very cute Disney scrapbooks.
