Have fun. Are you there now?

We were and it was a great meal. We had the Early Bird menu which is great value(we have lots of vacations to save up for you know!;) ) and the food is excellent. We both chose the same. French onion soup, grilled salmon with butter sauce, chips and peas. John had banana and toffee crumble with toffee ice cream and I had vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate sauce, which was a really gorgeous ice cream and a jug with the sauce separate. Mmmmmmm!

Happy Birthday, John! Sounds like you're having fun with all your birthday toys!

Nan, how is Paul feeling? Did his ears finally clear up?

When I was a kid I used to get what we called "swimmer's ear" every summer until someone told my mom that we should put alcohol in our ears after every swim. It really worked. Then when I started diving, I started having swimmer's ear again. This time a doctor (who was also a diver) told me to mix up half white vinegar and half alcohol, put it in one of those dropper bottles and put a few drops in each ear after every dive. Since I started doing this I haven't had any trouble with my ears.

I have had a stuffy nose for almost a month now! My cold is long gone, but the congestion won't go away. So I called the Dr. for an appointment today. They can't get me in until the 30th! I took it--because if it's not better by then, I'll REALLY need to see the doctor!

We didn't use our gift certificate debarkation day...went to Goofy's Kitchen instead. Speaking of which, I think the quality of food there is not what it used to be....at least for breakfast/brunch. :worried: Or it was overpriced for the quality you got. Breakfast at Storytellers is much better....taste-wise.
.

I'm glad to hear you say that. I thought it was just me and the fact that I was in my snit over not being able to find my AP. ;)

We are having DD, DSIL and 2 friends over for dinner on Sat. They want to see our trip photos. DrHug bought a new TV yesterday that has a port to plug his IPod into. He can put the photos on the IPod and show them on the 37 inch TV. I can't wait to see how that works. :hyper: Making manicotti. Otherwise, I'm mowing that yard today :( , a bit of grocery shopping and some cleaning.

I've read that you can do that. Add me to the list of people who want to hear how it works. Nice about the new TV! I'd love to get one--maybe I can drum up a few more dog-sitting jobs!:goodvibes

Kelly we'd love to have you guys at the ceremony.

Something that is really very nice for us is that we won't have to have paid witnesses.

It's not the money, but it did strike me as a little sad that we were going to pay for witnesses.

On the positive side of things, given that there'll be people to celebrate with us, it gives new meaning to this being the "real" wedding.

Also, thank you for the offer to help. Just seeing you guys either at the wedding or Dl would be wonderful.

Yes, Ian, when I read that you were going to have paid witnesses, it did seem a little sad. Now you'll have to add extra lines to the license for all of us to be able to sign!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

That's exactly right. It's even worse is that our computers are on the same table back to back. So at least we do get to peak over our monitors and look at each other every once in awhile.

You could always take a ziplock baggie to put the camera in for the wetter rides.

I did use the camera and that lens on Pirates and even on Splash Mountain
(both pics are from WDW) without a ziploc bag. Remember one of the nice features is it is supposed to be to handle a bit of rain on it - not a good dunking like on GRR, but properly protected it can survive that too.

I forgot about the "water resistant" feature! Your pictures got me excited to try it! I usually have a ziploc for my other camera so I'll just need a bigger one!

Yes, I couldn't believe the Pirate photo was all done and dusted and everybody gone by the time we arrived!!!

The reason for the big rush was that Pirate Mickey had to leave, otherwise we surely could have taken more time.

funny how they now think they "need" to have such a nice standard of entertainment. I seem to remember going outside and playing in the dirt with rocks and sticks and being happy when I was a kid. :lmao:

Did you have a bone in your nose, too????:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

I have one 12x12 finished and it is of our adventures before kids, including my first pregnancy. Then I have Ethan's baby years done and I just need to add a few more to complete it. And Brooke's is barely started :rolleyes1 and I have one for only vacations. This vacation will go in a separate scrapbook and I want to do it before I finish the others because I want to remember things from the cruise to write on the pages. I have a 12x12 and a small one that is not 8x10. It is smaller. So I was trying to figure out a way to use both. Maybe one for pictures and one for other stuff but then I would have to cut that stuff up. I don't know what to do but they are both very cute Disney scrapbooks.

The big one for the cruise! And the little one for a Disneyland trip?

That whole meal sounds really, really good! Yummer.

She is doing swimming and a few things with girl scouts. We are booked all year with gymnastics, soccer and now she wants to do cheer leading. It's hard because a lot of time Ethan has things going on at the same time :faint: I TRY to take the summer off from MOST activities because most of our friends have pools and we love to go to the beach. The problem is that all of our friend's kids didn't get out of school until today. She'll be better now, I hope. One of my friends just called to invite us over to swim so we will go there instead of the lake. I've taken them to the movies and the library for a little program they do. She just wants to swim or go to the beach. I think she is spoiled by the cruise. The other problem I have is that Ethan likes to sleep in and stay around the house so I'm pulled in two directions.

I picked up my daughter yesterday who promptly said it was boring at our house and why can't I take her anywhere..cause I never take her anywhere. I returned with "we just got back from a 3 week vacation" to which she said "mom that was last month"..ugh! I feel for ya finding things to do in the summer especially with 2 kids. I am glad that taylor starts summer school/camp on monday. She'll be with kids all day and for the next 7 weeks..it's all free for me! Love that my school has a camp. I wouldn't know what to do if I had to find stuff and pay..call me cheap, frugal or broke..i'd go with the last one! Today our neighbors said tay can swim so we'll go over there for an hour or so and tomorrow bbq at a friends with a pool. Funny thing, we usually kick the kids into the house after dinner and the 2 moms lounge in the pool with our wine...fun for me too! Sunday will be another veg day, hopefully cooler!
Gaylean..how hot is it down there..it's already 100 here at noon...ugh! Have a great weekend everyone!

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for being so wonderful.

Eighteen months ago, all I thought I was doing was booking a cruise. I never thought I'd be making so many new friends.

No, but she walked 5 miles to and from school every day in the snow uphill both ways barefooted.

Awww! I have the same thoughts, and can't believe so many of us are still here chatting away almost a month after the cruise. I just love everybody here, even the ones I didn't get to talk to much (or at all) onboard. :grouphug:

Me too, though if I lived over there I would feel it even more as you can all meet up so easily.

You're all a great bunch of people and I feel honoured to have cruised with you.

How fantastic was it at the terminal finally meeting everybody. Just seeing people in the distance you had chatted to on here and seen a photo of. Cherie, you were the first, then Bubba and Venetia were just in front of us in the queue. It felt like meeting old friends. Wonderful memories.

Stuck at work for another hour yet. With NO WORK to do! :worried:

Holly, do you remember when we first met? Tyler was attacking his soft Mickey because he couldn't get to meet the real one due to the long queue!!!

:rotfl2: Yes, I was quite embarrassed! Not a very good first impression, that's for sure! :lmao:

But not all of us can meet up easily :( it's a pretty big country.

::yes:: I agree that it was great to get to meet people.
