We're going to NYC!!!

I had asked my friends on the riddle thread to keep their fingers crossed for me today...and it worked!!!! (Bernie, you can uncross your eyes now )

I've qualified for our Annual Performance Recognition event at work. On February 7th the winners (and guests) will go to New York City by bus and stay overnight in the Crowne Plaza Times Square. There will be a recognition banquet at the hotel on Friday. On Saturday we have a choice of several sight-seeing options and we'll also be seeing Phantom of the Opera.

I'm thrilled and DH is more than happy to be my guest!!!

I used to live @2 hrs. from NYC, and day-trip there all the time! I miss it so much! You will have a wonderful time--I think it's the greatest city in the world. And the Crowne's a really nice place to stay. Enjoy!!!

The last time I was in Manhattan was September, 2000......literally a year before the attacks. I have beautiful pictures of the twin towers taken at night from the water. I want to see ground zero because it's still hard to really believe everything is gone.
