We're Going To Disney, But It's Our Little Secret

We woke up to Mickey and Stitch. Or well let me re-phrase that. I woke up! LOL....Got everyone up, dressed, and out the door. We had an ADR for 8:10am at Crystal Palace and were looking forward to it. It was one of our favorite meals last trip and once again it did not disappoint us. DBFF's kiddos seem to really enjoy Pooh and Friends too. My kids were so excited to be eating breakfast with them.

This was the first time we had been to Disney with the Halloween decor up and we just loved it.

I took these one while waiting for them to call our name at Crystal Palace:

Here are a few pics from breakfast:

Can you find Sydney?? She just loves Eyeore!

Here is a not so great pic of us in from of the castle. I had to bribe the girls to look at the camera. DBFF took this one for me with my camera. I can't wait to get the photopass cd.

111.jpg

DBFF's DH still wasn't feeling very well so they decided to take it a little easier and we split up until later in the day. We asked the kids what they wanted to do first. Hands down....BTMRR won! We were off! They all LOVED this ride last year and we couldn't wait to ride. We were very please to see this when we walked up!!

117.jpg

How great is that! The kids just couldn't get over not having to wait! We made our way through and were ready to ride!

114.jpg

113.jpg

I got this short video clip while we were riding. Boy is it hard to hold on to the camera while you are on a runaway train! haha!! You can hear Sydney screaming and see Peyton's face in the background!

Well, Sydney hated it. She screamed bloody murder the whole time...Here is a pic I got of her on the ride....Yeah I know, I am such a mean Mommy

115.jpg

After BTMRR we hit Splash Mountain (a first for us) and everyone loved it! We then caught the Toy Story round up thing in Frontier Land, Haunted Mansion, Mickey's Philharmagic, Peter Pan, IASW, and Dumbo. We then headed towards Pirates, did that, Jungle Cruise, took some funny photopass pics that I can't wait to share with you and took a little break while we all enjoyed a Dole Whip. It was a really good day. We never waited more than 10 mins for anything! :woohoo: We met up with DBFF at the Dole Whip stand and took a break from the heat. After everyone was finished we let the DH's walk with the kiddos through the Swiss Family Robinson tree house while we looked through eachothers pics from the day :goodvibes Since we had ADR's for CRT that evening at 5:30pm we decided to head back to POR and get a little rest and a little more presentable for dining with royalty. :rotfl:

Stay tuned for more.....

Up next: CRT Dinner and Epcot EMH!

HDDR looks like fun! I remember going as a kid but it has been forever!

Crystal Palace looks great too - another one we haven't done.

Love the castle pic you took while waiting for your name to be called at CP.

You guys got a lot done that day! Can't wait to read all about CRT!

OH My, you all had a wonderful time at HDDR!!

Hey, I just thought of something! When you all took off from N.O. DH was taking off from Fl.!!
You all were in the air at the same time!!

DH said for me to tell your DH Hi!!:wave2:

you would not believe what happen with us!!:sad2:
Because of Gustav, we had to fly out Fri. the 29th. It was going to be the 3rd. but if we would have waited we would not have been able to leave until Fri. the 5th. Then because of all that went on with the storm. He flew back to Jackson MS. and a friend picked him up. Got home we had lost everything in the fridge. Oh boy what a mess!! and our roof is messed up!:scared1:
Got everything straight. caught a flight back to Fl. on Sun. to come and be with us until the 3rd. But he could not fly back with the children and I.
He had to sleep in the airport until the next day. the 11th which was his 47th birthday!! We picked him up and he was sick running fever!!

Yes, it was crazy!! And it cost us $1,200.00 more then we started with!!

Any way can't wait to read more from your trip!!:flower3:

Oh My! What a headache that had to have been for you guys! I can't imagine! And your poor DH having to sleep in the airport on his bday.

We were out of power for 5 days here. Thankfully we were plugged into a generator and didn't loose anything in the fridge :worship: It was just so nasty and gross in the house though. The humidity was terrible! My floors were wet and the papers I had from the kids schools were curling on the fridge. We are very fortunate though, it could have been a lot worse. We had very minimal damage. DH had to work straight through the storm which I hated. He wasn't home for like 3 days after....:scared1:

I hope that your DH got to feeling better. I know I was feeling pretty rough the last 2 days there and the flight home almost had me in tears. I went to the doc the day after we got home and had a terrible sinus infection and fluid behind both ear drums

I love your trip report! Somehow I just realized you were all back from Disney :guilty: . I'm all caught up now though. I loved the reveal at the airport, made me teary eyed seeing the kids disbelief and then excitement when they saw thier luggage. I wish I could keep a secret as good as you both did. Sorry about the whining DD, my DS4 was awful whinny on our March trip :sad2: . I love your DS WALL E shirt, where did you get it? Disney store doesn't seem to have them. That stinks that your lock didn't work after being up since 3:15 AM :headache: . Waiting for more popcorn:: .

Thanks for reading! :goodvibes I was so glad that we were able to surprise them. The look on their faces was so worth it! :rotfl: About the Wall E shirt, that is my DBFF's DS. He doesn't belong to me (although I would take him anyday of the week :) ) I will have to ask her where she got it. It was too cute. I do know that I saw several Wall E shirts while at Disney.

Great updates Katie! :goodvibes What a pain about your room though...ugh! Not fun, I'm sure, after having been up for so long! But the HDDR looks like a lot of fun! I would love to try that someday!

Your MK day sounds fabulous! Your little one's reaction on Thunder has me wondering about my 4 year old - she is 39 and like 3/4" tall so I was really hoping she would clear for the 40" attractions, but now I'm not so sure I want that! :rotfl: Had Sydney ever been on anything "major" before this (ie Barnstormer "ish")? Just wondering what her experience level was prior to the big rides? Katie (my 3 - almost 4 year old) went on Barnstormer in November, and loved it - tried holding her arms up for part of it! So I'm hoping that Test Track, Thunder Mtn, Soarin, Splash (if she clears any of these) will be ok. Here's hoping!

Sounds like a fabulous day so far! Looking forward to hearing all about your dinner with royalty! :goodvibes

On our last trip (Nov 2007) Sydney cleared the 40" mark and was able to ride a lot. She LOVES Test Track and Soarin. We did BTMRR last year and she did fine with it then. I don't know what happened to her that day. She really likes Splash this year....it was our first time to ride that one. The only thing she complained about was her wet booty. She liked the ride though and wanted to do it again. Later in my TR we will get a chance to ride BTMRR again, and you'll get to see her reaction to it at night.....A little spoiler for you :goodvibes

Sorry he didn't look like yours but I figured you might know  . I guess well wait until we get to Disney. Love your trippie.

If Katie is really close to making the height like 1/4 inch or less away from the height then maybe she will make it with tennis shoes. Just don't try crocs because they give no added height at all. Thomas was exactly 40 inches and he made it just fine even with crocs. But osmetimes they are really strict for safety reasons. But seriously a few napkins in the shoes to ride Soarin :rolleyes1 can't hurt.

Hi!!! :goodvibes I actually got that Wall E shirt at Wal-Mart! I found it right before our trip and DS loved it! Thanks. :) But, like Katie said, we did see a number of them at WDW.

Katie -

Great updates. Nasty start at POR. You'd think by that time they would've given you the available room before you had to demand something. Obviously, the room was there.

POR looks beautiful. Someday, I would like to stay thee.

The pics of the kids on BTMRR remind me of our faces when we rode it 2 yrs ago. I don't do roller coasters but I said I would try it for the boys. The boys didn't care for it either.

Your pics of the castle are awesome. A big advantage of going to CP early in the morning.

Looking forward to reading more.

I just got all caught up. I love it so far! Great pictures. I can't wait to read more.

Ok so when I left off we were headed back to POR to get cleaned up for our dinner ADR. We were eating at CRT!!! This was a first for my family and we were really looking forward to it! DBFF and her crew had eaten there and really liked it, so we were ready!

Since it was a surprise trip, the kids had no idea of any of our dinner reservations before we left. I told them that we were going to eat INSIDE the castle and my girls were ecstatic! :) We got all cleaned up and were heading to CRT. MK was closing early due to MNSSHP so we were happy to be going into the park for a ressie when so many people were leaving. I loved seeing all the CM's dressed in their Halloween attire!!

We made our way to the castle and checked in. Us girlies got in line to have a pic taken with Cinderella herself! I am so glad that the pics come with the package. I think that is great. We got to do 3 picture packages and I was so excited!!! I took one with my girls, DBFF took one with her daughter and then we took one with all 5 of us. Just the girls! The pics came out really cute. As soon as I scan them. I will post them so you can see. As we finished they handed the girls their wands and the boys their swords. We waited for what seemed like forever. Sooo many people came in and went out. I don't recall the exact time that we were seated but it as rather long after our ADR. The kids were getting restless and the pretty little wands that my girls were playing with turned into weapons to beat eachother and their brother with:scared1: . We were tired of waiting to say the least

FINALLY they called our name and we were on our way up the spiral staircase. The girls loved it. We weren't seated at the same table b/c of our party size but we were right next to eachother. Our server was awesome. The food was great. I got the cheese tortallini (sp?) and DH got the prime rib. Both were wonderful. The kids ate well and really enjoyed seeing Suzy, Perla and Fairy godmother! That was a first for us.

Here are DH and the girls heading to check in at CRT.

Here is my crew at our table:

DBFF's DH was hilarious with his GIANT bottle of water! Haha. He'll probably kill me for posting this one! :lmao:

172.jpg

They served dessert and everyone enjoyed it very much. They were all very tastey! Here is the assortment of things we had.

This was what I got! Soooo good!

184.jpg

DH's extra dessert...They brought him 2!

185.jpg

Kids Dessert! So cute!

183.jpg

If you know my DD Sydney then you know she is a total foodie!! :rotfl: Check out the excitement on her face when DBFF's DH gave her a 2nd chocolate crown for her ice cream sundae! Haha!

187.jpg

We even got this to get us in the Halloween spirit!

186.jpg

Since I was celebrating by bday while we were there, they brought me this:

181.jpg

After our very full tummys, we made our way to the exit of MK. We saw lots of people in Halloween costumes on the way out and found ourselves wishing that we had purchased tickets to MNSSHP. I guess there is always next time! :goodvibes

We left MK and headed towards Epcot for EMH.............

Up next: Epcot....how crowded would it be???

Great update! Love the picture of the girls walking with their daddy! So sweet! And their dresses look so pretty! CRT sounds really magical and ya'll really scored with all those desserts! Yummo! The eye thing was kind of gross looking though - what was it anyway? :confused3

Looking forward to hearing about Epcot EMH!

Sara

Hey, don't forget on your receipt and possibly somewhere on the CRT photos there is a photopass code...probably will start with EVNT you can add it to your photopass...we did that with our ones from Askeherus...so even though we have copies, theyll be on our CD too!

MNSSHP was awesome, I highly recommend it next time!

CRT sounds awesome! You guys all looked so nice! Can't wait to see the photopass pictures from this night too. You should definately do MNSSHP next time - lots of fun!

Oooooh I just love your pics from CRT!!!! Even though I lived it AND saw them on your camera - it still got me so excited to see them! :goodvibes Brandon loved the pic of him giving Sydney the crown.
