We're flying from Never Land to see Mickey! A June 2011 PTR Update 6/3 Leaving Today!

I am glad to see that everything is working out and that you were able to add the 2 extra days :cool1:.

I like the look of your ADR, you should have a great time, I think there is a nice balance with what you have chosen.

If Thing3 gets there 2 days early and isn't allowed to go to parks what are they going to do instead? Hang out at the pool? Go to DTD?

Thanks! I'm glad everything is working out too. I think we have a pretty good balance of food...possibly too many buffets, but who doesn't like unlimited food? :rotfl:

I don't know exactly, but I don't think they are going to arrive until the evening on the 2nd, so probably just go to the pool that night and on the 3rd...hmm...they will probably go to the pool, maybe to Downtown Disney or take a spin on the monorail. She's a good kid, she find something to keep her entertained!

Everything looks great!!! Extra days are always good. And I think your thing 3 will probably have a blast with 2 days of one on one attention!

By the way, I posted some gymnastics pics on my PTR for you!

Thanks! I never realized how much planning a trip to Disney took before I decided I was going to plan this one (mostly) by myself! Thing3 will LOVE one on one time with either Mom or Dad! She gets upset when we are too busy to do things with her because we are busy with work/homework/lessons.

I said this on your PTR, but Sophie is soo cute in the gymnastics pictures! Thanks for posting them!

Just posting quickly to say that I showed Mom the newly revised dining plans (that I posted this morning) and she approved!! She was looking at flights this evening while we were watching the 2011 Planning DVD. I'll keep you posted on flights, but that's all I have to update on now! Thanks for reading!

Just posting quickly to say "Yay! I've gotten over 1,000 views!" Now only if I could get to 1,000 posts!

Where are the dining plans? Am I missing something?

I like the compromise you came up with to deal with the extra school days. That looks like it will work out very well. :thumbsup2

You've got some good meals on the dining schedule. I've tried several of your choices, but not quite all of them. I have to say they're all places I either like or want to try sometime.

They are on page 4 second to last post :)

I love your dining choices! Although I have only eaten at one of your choices XD still looks yummy!:goodvibes

Thanks for posting that! Didn't have much time to DIS yesterday!

I hope our dining choices are going to be good. When we were first planning the trip, the two places Thing2 said she wanted to go were Chef Mickey's and Cinderella's Royal Table. She has NO idea we are going to both!

Thanks! We hope it will work out okay!

Which restaruants have you tried? You could give us all mini dining reviews! The only one I'm a little worried about is Le Cellier...I don't eat meat, so hopefully there will be sometime that's okay there...I'm pretty sure gnocchi is on the menu, and I love that!

Oh yeah! :lmao: saw those plans already! I think I spent too much time on the dis this weekend!

Glad you found them! :thumbsup2

Have any of you done the Pirate's League?

I really want to do it with my sisters this trip, but know next to nothing about it. I know it's around $30 per person, but when do you reserve a spot? And can you do it online, or you have to call? Thanks for any info you may have!

In really random news, my new favorite book is Down the Rabbit Hole! It's a murder mystery, which usually creep me out, but it is such a great book! Any suggestions on good books? I'm in need of some new ones!

Thanks for reading this short and very random update!

We haven't done the pirate's league, but have booked it for our trip! We had to call for reservations and they set it up! Low stress!

As for books, what kind do you like? I've loved books by Jennifer McMahon. I am very eclectic in my taste. I love Jodi Piccoult and James Patterson. What I like to do is go to Target and write down all the books I want to read. Then I go online and reserve them at the library.

The last book I read was "Revolution" by Jennifer Donnely. :)

I think I remember reading that on your PTR! I really want to do it, but not sure if my sisters would prefer it or BBB...go figure, my sisters LOVE Star Wars and lightsabers and wrestling with each other/me, but when it comes to princesses or pirates, they choose princesses! :rotfl:

Usually I read realistic fiction...I'm usually good with most anything, but sometimes sci-fi and fantasy are hard for me to get through. That's a good idea, writing down the names of books! By now I've read most all of the books that interest me in our fairly small public library! I'll have to check out those authors! Thanks for the recommendations! :thumbsup2

I'm officially addicted to making dining reservations! :rotfl:

I now have 4 reservations for the 12th: 1900 Park Fare (dinner), 'Ohana (dinner), Boatwright's (dinner) and a ressie for afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. I better stop making ADRs, Mom is getting a little frustrated with all of my indecisiveness!

My food reviews consist of "I like it" or "Yuck!"
I really like Liberty Tree Tavern. I think it is almost a little underrated. I've never tried Le Cellier, so I can't speak for that one, but I love steak, and that is one of them I want to try sometime.

No, but if you want to see some of what it is about, another of the DIS Dad's just did a nice write up about it on his TR.

 My dining reviews are very similar! Thing3 on the other hand will go very into detail about things like this deeming things "exquisite" or "perfectly juicy"! I'll have to check out that TR! Thanks so much!

Hey guys!

So, Thing2 and I decided we wanted to plan a couple of surprises for our parents. At first we thought we wanted to do the Wishes or Illuminations cruise, but after a bit of research, we deemed that a bit out of budget. After a bit more research, we think we are going to rent a pontoon for an hour to an hour and a half on one of our days off. In addition, we might schedule a carriage ride or possibly order a specialty cake to be delivered to dinner one night. We'll have to see how much money we can save up and what fits into our schedule. If you have any tips, please let me know!

Thanks for reading!

We're all still here! :thumbsup2

I'm anxiously awaiting to see how your planning (and funds) add up for the surprise!

Thanks for sticking with me! Sometimes I just get a little freaked out that everyone left!
