What are your Best Strategies NOT to bang ears on RnRC bars?

Engage the core/lower trapezius muscle. I've also found that (in general, for any coaster with over-the-shoulder restraints) it really helps if you've been on it before/enough and really know the layout so you can anticipate the inversions and sort of subconsciously maneuver your head/neck accordingly. Easier said than done I'll admit, but I've never had too many problems with RnRC. The coaster I still struggle with sometimes is The Hulk over at Universal.

Try not moving your head around too much (in a voluntary sense).
My problem with RnRC is how it bangs my ears and bounces my head back and forth. I’ve tried “supergluing “ the back of my head to the seat back, or super gluing one side of head to one bar. Anyone else have a great strategic, besides duct taping padding ?

I don't have a solution, but I just wanted to share my sympathies with you. I don't do RnRC anymore. Those restraints are for tall people. I have a short torso and there is just no way to avoid the headbanging!
I am 175 cm and I can’t bear the banging. I rode it once in 2010 and never again.

Can anyone tell me what you are talking about? Granted the last time I rode it with my 10 year old grandson was 12 years ago and I don't remember or think I experienced any bars other than the hold you in place ones. I don't remember anything bumping into anything. I wonder if it might be that I have never seen the point of the arms in the air stuff on a coaster so I've never done it. Maybe that was why my body stays quieter? I really don't know what bars you are talking about.

The restraint harness that goes over your head and holds you in place when you go upside down. It’s very thick and for some people (like myself) it’s painful because their heads bounce side to side and hit it back and forth for the entire ride.

I don’t know why, but I am incapable of holding my head straight, and not having it bounced between the two sides of the harness.

OK, I see now the area you are talking about. That said, however, I have apparently been lucky because I don't recall any problem other that the fact I hate inversions but no hitting. I guess it could be that my fat head fit tight in the space so it couldn't move sideways.

I jam my feet into the bottom/sides of the ride car, keeping myself pretty locked to help with overall stability. And I agree with the above poster about some core engagement too. I haven't sworn off this one like I have Space Mountain, but it's close.
