Went to JoAnn's - Where Do I Hide All the Stuff I Bought???

I don't have to hide anything. We have a budget that we made together and we each get a certain $$ amount each month to spend any way we want or to save up for something. I could bury my money in the backyard, burn it, buy clothes, save up and buy something "big", whatever, he doesn't care so long as I stay within my budget. If I do go over (which I did a little in November) it carries forward and then I have less the next month until I catch up. This way he can see 10 bags from JoAnn's or Macy's or Victoria's Secret and not wonder how much I spent or what's in the bags . . . o.k. he would be curious about what's in the Victoria's Secret bag :rotfl:

OT: That's a great way to do it. We just got married and are starting to actually truly MERGE the finances and that would work quite well. :-)

I must check one of my J's out tomorrow - They are off the beaten path and often have stuff longer than most.

We do the budget thing too and it works pretty well. We actually have a small budget for scrapbooking supplies as well as my own spending money. My hubby is ok with this since he likes the finished scrapbooks and I make one for each of my two kids too.

My problem is buying toys for the kids. My hubby just doesn't believe me when I tell him Thomas the Tank Engine must have been left unattended and had a weekend fling and wala new Thomas toys. It's even a pretty consistent 3 month gestation period.

OK, just to clarify.... I don't HAVE to hide anything either - especially as my job pays 2x's my DH's.
My post was intended as a joke to let everyone know there were some good deals out there right now. And in veiwing most of the replies I think most of the ladies here got that.

Yeah - what marlynnp said. ;) It's also sort of a female bonding thing...much more feminine than banging our chests & grunting! :lmao: :lmao:

Although I'll admit to hiding things for real at times...because DH always has a comment for everything & just doesn't "get" why I always need more toys. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: mine is in heaven right now. He convinced me that we should get a new bigger TV a week ago and of course it was too big to fit into the entertainment center. We went a bought a new entertainment center today. He's got the new TV and enough of the other equipment hooked up to actually watch it. ::grunt, grunt::
I could have out all the scrapbooking stuff I own right now and I don't think he'd notice!:lmao:

I didn't mean any offense and sorry if it was taken that way! :guilty: But some people do have issues with this kind of thing for real. I remember, long before I got married, fellow scrappers at crops having to call their spouse to see if they were "allowed" to buy stuff or asking the hostess to hold their stuff until they could sneak it into the house.

OMG I think I found the coolest thing!

Okay not the coolest yet but I purchased 4 scrapbboks orginally 19.99 for 4.97. I Christmas album kit boxed set also 4.97.... but the really cool thing.... a pack with maybe 6-7 embellishment packs, a thing I cannot recall what it is called but kind like layout "frames" great for DD 11, and 70 pack cardstock, not one but two albums, AND a crop in style messangers bag.... 14.97. Am searching other Joann's just for the bag as it holds two 12 x 12s albums and room for other supplies. Great for my stepdaughter who now just carries her stuff in a shopping bag. (I couldn't part with the first one to give as a gift, bad stepmom, but I gave her other stuff :)

I bought this for my niece for Christmas and she LOVED it. It came in 2 colors - burnt orange and a light turquoise. I got her the turquoise one and she flipped. She has her supplies in a shoe box. The albums that came with it were nice. Hers had pressed flowers on the cover.

I went to Joanns again but one that just opened up in October. They still had some great deals. IF I had gone to that one a couple of weeks ago OMG I would be in trouble :rotfl: I did manage to spend $14 and came out with 3 bag fulls. The ribbon was $1.99 and then 70% off.
