We'll sleep when we get home! A fun-filled mother/daughter vacation! (Updated 1/21)

Awesome trip report!!! You took a lot of cool pics!! Makes me even more excited for my Nov trip.

Hope you have a blast if you get to go to Disneyland. :)

Great update!
Was the Kakigori good? I was planning on getting it on my trip, but I wound up not getting one.
I just love the American Adventure! It's one of my favorite shows in Disney! The Voices of Liberty are fantastic, too.
& great pictures around the World Showcase!! :goodvibes

The Kakigori was great! So refreshing, be sure to try it next time. (:
I love it too! Haha yes, you'd probably be one of the first to buy their album (if they made one) along with Timmy and I!
Thank you! :goodvibes

When we left off, we were checking out the doors in Italy. Now, we're moving on to Germany to get a pretzel!

DSC_0638.jpg

Yum! Do you see how big it is?!

DSC_0639.jpg

We started walking back to France for our dinner reservation, but like I promised before, we checked out Morocco! It's so busy here. It makes me feel like I'm in the marketplace in Aladdin. There’s music, the smell of incense and just so much noise! Or maybe we were just there during a busy time. Haha!

I posed in one of my favorite picture spots:

DSC_0645.jpg

And then we explored.

DSC_0651.jpg

I thought this was a pretty place to take pictures, so we did. (: But we both look like hot messes, so I’m not going to post them here! Haha

DSC_0652.jpg

We made it to France about a half hour earlier than our reservation time - but they were able to get us in!

DSC_0658.jpg

DSC_0659.jpg

I didn’t take any pictures inside the restaurant because it was very tight space and I didn’t want to hassle a big ol’ camera, so I stole these from the Food Pictures thread! If these are any of your pictures - I hope you don’t mind! We started off with this yummy bread:

4.jpg

We decided to order the prix fixe meal since it was included in the dining plan and we get an appetizer with it for no extra price. I ordered the Salade au bleu (blue cheese salad) with the dressing on the side because I didn’t know how I’d like it. I ended up liking it just fine! It was very good. Mom got what she had been wanting since I showed her the menu - Soupe a l'oignon gratinee (French onion soup.) She said it was delicious.

2-1.jpg

For the main course, we both got the Gratin de macaroni (macaroni and cheese.) It was HUGE! I couldn’t even finish half. I guess I should have skipped that pretzel in Germany.....

3.jpg

For dessert, I got the Profiteroles au chocolat (chocolate cream puffs.) Mom got the Gauteau au chocola (chocolate cake) but I couldn’t find a picture of that!

Food Review:
Overall - this was one of our best restaurant experiences of the whole trip! Our waitress was very kind and helped me pronounce words in French. She was bubbly and full of personality. The food was just amazing. It definitely made up for our previous night’s dining experience at the Crystal Palace. We will be returning here in November!

After our meal, the sun was setting and World Showcase was beginning to light up.

DSC_0661.jpg

We still had unused fast passes for Test Track from earlier - so we decided to do that and then go back to Pop!

Since we didn't eat enough during the day, we had a little late night snack! Can you guess who's tie-dye cheesecake that was? (:

DSC_0671.jpg

Well that's all for today! We had a very fun day in Epcot. We had the whole trip in front of us and were pumped.

Oh wow, that pretzel is huge! I want one. I love those big pretzels, they are just amazing! And with that size... I'd be in heaven :cloud9: Well cloud 9 based on that LOL (: And I love the pictures around Morocco, it looks a lot prettier than I remembered and I like the storybook with the introduction to Aladdin :goodvibes

Oh wow, I totally forgot France had two TS (Bistro de Paris being the other one), is Les Chefs de France the one where they have the little Remy on a plate that they roll by? Anywho, everything looks so good! Especially those chocolate cream puffs :goodvibes Why am I always drawn to the desserts? LOL Though the Gratin de macaroni was another one that caught my eye, too bad you were too full to finish it :/

And more pictures around World Showcase and POP! These are going to be great for our little tumblr project. Oh and I see more Tie-Dye cheesecake, it is just calling to me... another reason to go stay at POP :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Your dinner sounds like it was really nice, and yummy too! :thumbsup2

Epcot is so pretty at night!

Mmmmm I would eat that cheesecake right now! popcorn::

And this plate. Yes, I'm 14. Don't hate. It's adorable!

DSC_0472.jpg

And this shirt. Can't you just hear Donald saying "Where's my hat?!" :goodvibes

DSC_0474.jpg

Omg I seriously almost bought that plate for myself and I am 23 years old! Also, I bought that Donald shirt. I really liked it because it wasn't one of those shirts that you found in every single store in the park. I was only able to find it in the gift shop after Philharmagic and it was the last one in my size!

That pretzel is very big! I've never gotten one in Disney before, but I get one at the mall by home sometimes..they're not as big, though!
In that picture spot in morocco, I met Aladdin & Jasmine on my last trip! I guess when it rains they go there instead of outside..I've never even seen it before this year.
Les Chefs de France looks great! I love French Onion Soup! & mmm the chocolate cream puffs look great, too. :thumbsup2
Isn't Test Track fun at night? I love it (well I love it day or night..)
I love Spaceship Earth lit up at night..it looks so pretty. :goodvibes
And yum! That oreo cupcake looks good & it's cute!!

Ahah yeah, the Germany pretzels are delicious. :thumbsup2 Morocco is a gorgeous pavilion! I like that the actual country wanted to help with the building.
Yep, Chefs de France is the one where Remy comes! We didn't see him though. I guess you have you make your reservation for certain times? The picture I posted of the macaroni doesn't even show how huge it was! It was sooo good though. :goodvibes
Oh yes. ::yes:: I have sooo many more pictures, our project should be fun!

Your dinner sounds like it was really nice, and yummy too! :thumbsup2

Epcot is so pretty at night!

Mmmmm I would eat that cheesecake right now! popcorn::

It definitely was! ::yes::
Oh I know, I could go for Disney food anytime. I remember when we first got there I was saying "I don't know how I'm going to eat all of this good food this trip - there's soooo much I want to try thanks to the DIS."

Omg I seriously almost bought that plate for myself and I am 23 years old! Also, I bought that Donald shirt. I really liked it because it wasn't one of those shirts that you found in every single store in the park. I was only able to find it in the gift shop after Philharmagic and it was the last one in my size!

You should have gotten the plate! I've used it a couple times now and it's so cute. :goodvibes Yeah, I think that's part of the reason I wanted it. I love unique merchandise. :thumbsup2 Good job getting the last one your size!

That pretzel is very big! I've never gotten one in Disney before, but I get one at the mall by home sometimes..they're not as big, though!

And yum! That oreo cupcake looks good & it's cute!!

The Germany ones are yummy! They taste a bit different from the Super Pretzels they have though - so I didn't really like it the first time I tried it years ago.
Oh! Well that is a very fitting spot for a M&G. I like that you can pose there when the characters are outside. I remember in France they used to have Belle's Library and we took pictures there before..I don't know what happened to that. :confused3
The chocolate cream puffs were really good, but I barely had any room after dinner! That dining plan really makes sure you eat. :lmao:
I like it at night better! We went on in the daytime for the first time during this trip and during the outdoor part I was squinting and couldn't see a thing. But I still love it!
Mom said it was good, I should have tried it!

Yum, I love Chefs du France! I've had the fancy mac n cheese also and it is so good! I want to try every TS in Epcot before I repeat one, but I would like to go back and try it again someday. I definitely don't feel that way about Rose and Crown, so I think you made a good choice to skip it! I've found that the food there was really lackluster, and most of my family wasn't feeling too hot after our meal there either!

You got some really lovely photos around WS! I love the gardens around Canada, they are always so pretty and seasonally appropriate.

I can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2

I want to get as many more updates up as I can before the storm comes through. I hope we don't lose power, but if we do I hope it's able to be fixed soon. But let's get back to happy things. (:

On this lovely Friday morning in Walt Disney World, we had a destination! And that destination was Cinderella's Castle. We were taking full advantage of our free dining PIN and wanted to go back to the castle. So, we decided to try out breakfast. We had 10am reservations so we wouldn't have to rush. It was a beautiful day!

DSC_0700.jpg

Check in was very easy and we were called in within a few minutes. We got in line to meet Cinderella. She was lovely! She commented on my shirt, but I forget what she said. Something about her friend, Minnie Mouse. :goodvibes Here's the picture:

CSC_0814.jpg

The castle is gorgeous, inside and out.

DSC_0673-1.jpg

DSC_0679-1.jpg

We were soon called to go upstairs, so up we went!

DSC_0682-1.jpg

DSC_0683-1.jpg

DSC_0684-1.jpg

We were started off with some breakfast rolls and fresh fruit along with some orange juice. I began to notice that water was dripping from the ceiling. :confused3 I didn't want my camera to get wet so I moved to the other side of the table (we were seated at a table with 4 seats.)

DSC_0685-1.jpg

DSC_0686-1.jpg

We both got magic wands! I laughed because we have a joke about them. When we were at CRT two years ago, the lady asked my mom "Would your daughter like a wand?" and she answered "Why not!" instead of a "yes, thank you! :goodvibes" :lmao: So now that's an ongoing joke whenever someone says "why not!"

DSC_0691-1.jpg

Food Review:
For our meal (which I forgot to take pictures of between characters!), Mom got the breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes. She doesn't like bacon or sausage though - so she just had eggs and potatoes! She said it was very good. I think she asked for more. I ordered the cream cheese stuffed french toast after hearing about it on the DIS. It...wasn't very good. But after a few bites, I was actually full! I love breakfast food but I get filled so easily in the morning. Mom saw kids around me ordering french toast sticks, so she made me get those so I'd eat a little more. She got an order too, they were good. ::yes:: Our waiter was fantastic and very accommodating!

Our first character to come around was Snow White! She was very sweet and sounded just like Snow White should sound. :goodvibes

36470021.jpg

We took a random picture of me while just waiting for more characters to come! (:

36470020.jpg

Then Sleeping Beauty came around. Please don't mind my awkward pose. I don't really know why I'm tilting in all of the pictures. It almost looks like I'm trying to pose like her, holding my imaginary dress and all, but I can assure you I'm not! :lmao:

36470019.jpg

Then Ariel came. She was by far my favorite! She told me she gave her friend Minnie Mouse swimming lessons before and a couple other things. She was funny! Before she left, she told me to have a splashing day. :thumbsup2

36470018.jpg

Last but not least was Belle! I kind of got a two in one shot here, because Ariel is right in the background.

Oh your t-shirt is super cute! :thumbsup2

Your breakfast at CRT sounds so nice! We are eating there for the first time on our upcoming trip!!!

It looks beautiful inside the castle!!!

I love all of your pictures with the princesses!princess:

That's a good idea to try each of them before repeating! Ahh, that's good we decided to cancel it then. We thought it was a waste of TS since all we were going to order was Fish & Chips so we could just use a CS (we never did end up getting those fish and chips though!) Oh that's too bad! Getting sick from food is awful at Disney. I'll be getting to that later in the TR.

Thank you! It's so pretty there. :goodvibes And thanks for reading!

Thanks! Aww that should be very special - especially going for your first time! I love the castle. I wish when they were doing the Year of A Million Dreams promotion we would have gotten picked to spend a night! Thank you. :goodvibes

We then left CRT and I got a few last minute pictures.

I just love it here! We usually do it every 2 years, so I can't wait to return in 2013.

We went straight to Sir Mickey's to get me a pair of sequined mouse ears! The CM at the register was very nice and cut the tags off for us. She was smiling so much - it was a great start to our day!

DSC_0701.jpg

Then we went to Snow White's Scary Adventures. This ride used to scare me a lot when I was younger (the first time I went on it I cried!) but now I like it much more.

DSC_0702.jpg

DSC_0703.jpg

DSC_0704.jpg

I love Dopey waving at the end, but my camera wasn't quick enough to get a picture of him! Let's just hope the ride is still open in November. Then, we were off to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. This was our first time seeing the interactive queue in the daylight (I think we went on it Wednesday night) so I liked the fact that it was empty and I could play with some of the stuff.

We walked past the Mad Tea Party.

DSC_0712.jpg

DSC_0713.jpg

And spotted a Tigger!

DSC_0714.jpg

We were heading to our favorite ride, the TTA, but we stopped in Mickey's Star Traders first. I saw these cute socks (I know, I know. Socks? That's a boring souvenir. But these socks were polka dot and had some Mickey heads thrown in. They were cute.) We had to try on these stylin' hats before we left though.

We stopped at the bathroom, but I didn't have to go so I stayed outside and took some pictures.

Love these trees.

And sooner than later, we made it to the best ride in Disney!

Ooooo... CRT! I would love to go there for a meal, just the thought of eating in the castle makes me excited. And the food looks good too, though I think that's just me staring at this cinnamon buns LOL :thumbsup2 to your lovely wands and your great character pictures! They all looked like great princesses to meet. (:

Oooo... the new Winnie the Pooh queue looks so cool. I haven't seen too many pictures of it, so it's nice to see some new stuff like the dripping honey or whatever it is, people seemed to like that. What does it do anyway?

I love the quote leaf you found near the Mad Tea Party! Isn't that your tumblr logo? Very cool. And I see the introduction photo from your PTR, you guys are rockin' those hats :teeth:

Oooooo... the TTA! Yeah, that probably is one of the best rides in Disney and it is amazing how it gets so fast at those corners. I usually just randomly yell out WOOHOO when we go around them, though I think your reaction is better :D

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

We saw the Carousel of Progress. I love the song!

DSC_0744-1.jpg

When we got off, I wanted to try a cream cheese pretzel. It was good - but a little too much! I couldn't finish it - it was just so sweet.

It was getting very hot so we decided to head out of the park.

Our first stop was Disney's Contemporary Resort!

BTW: Do you guys notice the quality of these photos is better? I'm currently going through each of them and making them smaller, so it may take a little longer to update!

I really should get used to the fact you double update LOL...

Love Carousel of Progress too! My best friend always ends up just randomly singing that song, it's such a neat ride and I just love the classical feel it has :goodvibes Oooo... and the Cream Cheese pretzel looks GOOD!

That's awesome you got to ride on the monorail and I'm glad it wasn't as crazy an experience on my first ride. And that definitely looks like a great spot to watch Wishes from. I'll have to bring us there sometime if I get the chance to go on the monorail :teeth:

Oh yeah, I definitely noticed a difference, a good choice... I would do that, but my TR has been up long enough, I need it FINISHED... that reminds me off to update!

We were getting a little hungry, so we went to Captain Cook's to try out one of their Adult Grilled Cheeses. Never again. :scared1: I'm not going to lie, it was very good while we were eating it, but later in the day I got sick and was laying in our room at Pop for a couple hours. It was very greasy, and I don't think my body was ready for that after eating healthy stuff for a while. (The cup is there to note that I didn't want tomato on mine.)

DSC_0797.jpg

We walked around the resort with our Dole Whips (YUM!) and there was a sun shower. It was pretty random and funny! We hid under the nearest longhouse for a couple of minutes and then went to check out the pool. Oh my gosh. Their pool is so awesome! They were having a party and everything with music and dancing, mom said we're party crashers. :lmao: We wanted to sit on the beach for a little while, but the sand and the bench swings were too hot! So, we went on the boat to the Magic Kingdom so we could go back to Pop and freshen up. So sit back, relax, and enjoy a scenic tour across Bay Lake!

The cinnamon buns were pretty good! :thumbsup2 The castle really is fun, definitely worth 2 TS credits! :goodvibes You should go there next time you're there with your family, your little sisters would the princess-y stuff and you'd enjoy going in the castle. :goodvibes

I think I took a few more pictures of it, but that's later in the TR, like the last day. The dripping honey walls are there to move your hands over and there are characters underneath the honey! It's fun to play with if you have some hand sanitizer with you. :thumbsup2

Yep it is! Haha I've had that on my tumblr for a while, so I had to take a picture of it in person! Ahaha yeah - I was tempted to get one but it'd probably just get lost with all my other disney hats (I have a LOT. :scared1:) so it was fine to just play dress up with. :wizard:

Oh my gosh you do that too? I yell out "WOOOOO!" and my mom usually adds in "thrill ride!" :lmao:

I really should get used to the fact you double update LOL...

Oh Timmy, I'm doing much more than double updating today. :rotfl: I'm in a Disney mood so I'm updating as much as possible today!

The Carousel of Progress is just great. I learned so many facts about that ride on my tour, but like the Winnie the Pooh pictures, that's at the end of the TR!

I don't know how early you'd have to get there to get seats, but It'd be worth it! The fireworks would look spectacular from there. I should have done that when I first started, but I was lazy. :rolleyes1 But all my pictures from now on will be HQ!
