We'll sleep when we get home! A fun-filled mother/daughter vacation! (Updated 1/21)

Today was our first full day! :woohoo: We wanted to get to Epcot near rope drop. But first, we had to eat! We went to Everything Pop and got some Pop waffles. popcorn::

I got mine with whipped cream and strawberries on top. You can’t tell in the picture, but they actually wrote out “P O P” with the whipped cream! Too cute!

DSC_0476.jpg

Mommy is plain Jane when it comes to food, so she got her Pop waffle looking like this. ;)

DSC_0475.jpg

After breakfast, we were fueled up and ready for a long day at Epcot! We did the usual routine and dropped off our mugs in the room, then headed for the bus stops. :)

We didn’t make it to rope drop, but we were there by 9:20-ish! I wanted to get a picture in front of Spaceship Earth before my hair went all crazy with the Florida humidity

11.jpg

This fountain is so nice! I don't know what it is, but ever since I was little I really loved fountains. And waterfalls. Maybe because they're so calming. :cloud9:

DSC_0486.jpg

Were we headed to Spaceship Earth?

DSC_0488.jpg

Nope! Not quite. My mom spotted Daisy and insisted I get a photo with her because the line was short. Sure, no problem. :)

13.jpg

Don't you love the height difference? Daisy is so tiny, she makes me look like a giant at 5'6!

After that, it was time for Spaceship Earth. I love this attraction! Call me crazy, but I also love the way it smells when you're walking up the ramp to enter. It has also helped me on many Social Studies tests in middle school! The printing press was fresh in my mind. :thumbsup2

If I remember correctly, we went to Soarin' after this to get some fastpasses. No pictures here, because it was just a quick stop. Then, we headed towards the Universe of Energy. We went through Mouse Gears to beat the heat for a couple minutes and we saw this stylin’ hat.

DSC_0502.jpg

We made it over to Ellen's Energy Adventure. :goodvibes

DSC_0507.jpg

DSC_0505.jpg

I just love this attraction! Ellen is too funny for words (I laugh during like, the whole show. :lmao:) and it's a wonderful place to relax for 45 minutes. :thumbsup2

We spent enough time in there and Mouse Gears that we were able to get some fastpasses for Test Track! You can see my mom walking towards the right, in the blue. I had no clue she got in the picture. :rotfl:

After we got the Test Track fast passes, we wanted to use our Soarin' fast passes, so we headed back to the other side of the park. We went through Mouse Gears, again! There were some pretty flowers as we were walking to the store.

DSC_0514.jpg

Duffy! Later in the trip, I got a duffy bear with a cute German outfit. :goodvibes

DSC_0515.jpg

An adorable Nemo pillow. Isn't the little fin so cute?

Random merchandise I took a picture of while my mom was taking forever to look at wedding stuff.

Past Innoventions and Epcot Character Spot

DSC_0524.jpg

Walked up the mountain, and made it to The Land!

DSC_0525.jpg

This pavillion is so awesome. They have one of the best CS restaurants, the oh-so-amazing Soarin', and a nice little boat ride! The Circle of Life show is nice too, we've seen it a couple times, but we usually skip it. I do like the signs on the way to it though, 100 ft, 75 ft, 50 ft, and 25 ft to the Circle of Life. :)

DSC_0527.jpg

We went down the escalator

DSC_0528.jpg

And arrived at SOARIN!

DSC_0529.jpg

DSC_0530.jpg

DSC_0531.jpg

This attraction is so magical. You really feel like you're there. I love the orange tree smell, the pine tree smell, the relaxing waves on the beach, pretending to kick the people on the boats with our feet and feeling the BOOM as the fireworks go off! I want to live on this ride.

After we landed, we were hungry from all that flying so we headed to Sunshine Seasons (or as my mom liked to call it the whole trip, Sunshine!)

I got the yummiest Chicken Caesar Salad. Usually the chicken is cold and I don't like that so much, but this chicken was nice and hot! I got the Chocolate Mousse cake for dessert, and a Smart Water.

DSC_0532.jpg

Mommy got chicken with mashed potatoes and some fruit thing that looked nasty. For dessert, she got the Key Lime pie which I tasted and it was delish! She got Smart Water as well. Might as well go for the most expensive since we were on the dining plan! :thumbsup2

DSC_0533.jpg

FOOD REVIEW:
This meal was one of my favorites! Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had. The cake was yummy too, very chocolate-y. Mommy liked her meal too. She said she could have gone for more mashed potatoes and ditched the fruit thing though! She LOVED the Key Lime pie so much she ended up getting it again the next week. We both loved knowing that our food was very fresh!

We wanted to try doing World Showcase from Canada to Mexico this year, since we usually start in Mexico. Since Figment was right next to The Land and on the way to Canada, we stopped there first. This ride always puts me in a good mood! Funny story, our first year in Disney we went on this ride during pm EMH and we were all by ourselves. At the end when Figment says "You said it Doc, imagination is a BLAST!" we jumped and were SO scared, you don't even know! :lmao: We seriously weren't expecting that! Now, it's one of those things we remember every time we're at that part. :goodvibes

We were checking out the new Imageworks to see what's changed since Kodak left. We were able to get to one of the computers to make our own figments! I'm not sure if that was there before, because usually all of the computers were broken down and the 3 or so that weren't were being hogged, but this is was so much fun to do.

This is my pretty one. ;)

figmentsteph.jpg

And this is mommy's! :goodvibes

figmentsandra.jpg

We played around with the music-making things and then looked around in the gift shop for a few. We always find interesting Epcot merchandise there. I still have a T-shirt I got in 2007 from there, it has different characters on it and they spell out EPCOT. I'll have to take a picture soon to show you guys.

We left and went on to World Showcase and on the way there we found this nice photo-op!

That's awesome that you get to stay longer at the Poly! It's so pretty. :)

It really is gorgeous! I'm so excited. :goodvibes

That's awesome to hear you'll be staying longer at the Poly. It's such a great resort, I've really wanted to stay there. And what did you do about the POP reservation, they intersect so did you move it back or are you not going to POP at all?

It's so nice and calm there, I just love it. :goodvibes We just made the Pop reservation one day shorter so we're there from 11/24 to 11/26. :)

Btw: I really appreciate your comments! I subscribed to your TR the other day, I just haven't had a chance to really read it in detail yet. I promise to do that today. :)

Subbing!!! Love Toddlers and Tiaras - Ultimate Grande Supreme or Bust

That comment made my day! :rotfl: Thanks for subscribing!

Subbing!! I LOVE mom/daughter trips! My DD and I travel together. We just celebrated her 16th birthday in June with a WDW/DCL trip!

I love all your pictures! Can't wait to hear more.

Awww, that's so fun!! I opened up your Spring Break one with Sea World in another tab and I'm going to read that and your others today! :goodvibes
Thanks so much! :wizard:

YAY FOR EPCOT! (: That waffle of yours is taunting me right now. I'm in desperate need of a Mickey Waffle (though that was a POP waffle, still very similar :p). I have no clue how your mom could've gotten just a plain one. I couldn't survive on a plain waffle :sad2:

Oh I love that fountain in front of Spaceship Earth too, though Fountain of Nations is much cooler, EPCOT just has some really nice fountains. Like you, I'm very attracted to fountains, no matter where they are or what they look like. It's strange :confused3 And love the picture with Daisy, very cute (:

Great hat! I just loving take random pictures in Disney with the kooky hats but I never end up buying them. I don't know what it is :/ And I totally agree about Ellen, she is SO FUNNY! I don't get why people find her annoying, she is hilarious. I really wish they would make a Finding Nemo 2 so she could reprise her role as Dory, I would see the movie just for that reason ::yes:: LOL

Wow, you seemed to walk through Mousegears a lot. The Nemo pillows are so cute, especially with his lucky fin. I wonder if it will bring good luck in pillow form :goodvibes YES! And I love those photos of the fountain of nations! I really got to take a picture or record them when the music starts :teeth:

Oh, I love the Land Pavilion! I mean, it has Soarin', Living With The Land, Garden Grill and so much more. I got to try the Sunshine Seasons place, it looks really good and I've heard a lot of good reviews. The Potatoes your mom got look DELICIOUS, YUM :goodvibes

Oooo... that's a great idea doing World Showcase from the Canada side. I always start in Mexico as well and seem to never enjoy the place because I get stuck enjoying food from La Cantina Hahaha I think I need to have a notebook nearby when I'm reading TRs, so much I need to do or look into

Oh great Figments, I think yours could be my Figment twin LOL Well... it may be just the buck teeth hahahaha They look great, I got to check out that ImageWorks looks like fun :) And great pictures of the backwards waterfall at the Imagination pavilion, impeccable timing with the monorail in the photo :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Oh, I'm glad! I'm really enjoying this TR. This is your first one right? This is pretty impressive for a first TR. I've done two and I messed them both up completely, but that's just from my perspective. I hope you enjoy them! (: I just updated the two in progress, something to keep you occupied :thumbsup2

Ahaha I always crave Disney food. It's unhealthy. :sad2: Ever hear of the disney food blog? It's awesome! She didn't have it TOTALLY plain, she put syrup of course, but still. ;)

I agree! The disney fountains can taunt you during a hot day though, you don't even know how many times I suggested we jump in one. :lmao: I also wanted to film it during the show, but it was always too hot to stand out in the sun and wait. & Thanks!

I tried on many more hats during the trip, believe me! The Alien one from Toy Story was the cutest. I read this in another trip report - but they're seriously there just for dress up. That would be soooo awesome having a Finding Nemo 2. I wonder what it would be about. I'm excited for Monsters Inc 2...whenever they end up making that! I heard it's going to be a prequel, which is kinda disappointing because Boo's my favorite, but I'm sure it'll be great!

Definitely try Sunshine Seasons your next trip! Ooh I forgot about Garden Grill, I love it there! Character interaction is great and I love the rotating. :wizard: Haha we always rush by the UK and Canada because it's dark, but now we saw all of the gardens and shops in the UK and discovered Canada had a whole town if you go up the stairs. :scared1: But that's part of my next update. ;) I know what you mean about the notebook thing! I meant to try out La Cantina but never got the chance! Next trip!

Hahaha a chubby yellow figment with buck teeth and bunny ears is always cute. :thumbsup2 & Thanks, I love that picture!

OOOHHH... makes more sense now ;)

Haha yup!
Aww thanks so much, that means a lot! Yep this is my first of many more to come. :goodvibes I read a little bit of your first one, you didn't mess it up! It's good. :thumbsup2 I'm off to read more while I still have free time. School starts in....21 days.

After we finished doing almost everything we wanted to do in Future World, we started walking to World Showcase! We knew we were almost there when we saw this

And this

DSC_0538.jpg

And sooner than later, we arrived in Canada! Last year in 9th grade English, we read Anne of Green Gables so it was neat seeing some things that were mentioned in the book, like this lovely garden! We made our way down the path to go to O’ Canada. We hadn’t seen it in 2 or 3 years, so it was time to see it again.

This show is very good! Martin Short is pretty hilarious, and Canada is so beautiful. I want to visit the real place someday. I love the part in all the different WS movies where they mention their people and show everyone from the little kids to the older citizens in that country! We wanted to make our own Duffy’s when we got out of the show. Mommy’s is first, then mine. (:

DSC_0551.jpg

CSC_0550.jpg

We stopped outside Le Cellier because we were eating there next Thursday and mommy wanted to see their menu. Then, we made our way back up.

DSC_0552.jpg

We always used to joke that we felt bad for Canada because they only had a little gift cart at their pavilion. Since this year was the first we actually saw Canada in daylight, we found out they DID have a gift shop! And a big one at that. We spent some time exploring the new land we found.

DSC_0561.jpg

I thought these were only at the UK? I posed for a picture anyways!

DSC_0562.jpg

A really cute window display!

DSC_0563.jpg

And we made our way into the store. My mom saw some maple cream cookies she wanted to get for my dad, but she didn’t want to lug it around or ship just one thing back to the room, so we got them next time we were in Canada. I thought this was just adorable.

DSC_0565.jpg

Saw some interesting facts about how they make Maple Syrup. It’s amazing how much work gets put into it! I guess that’s why a bottle of maple syrup was $50 there!

DSC_0564.jpg

We browsed around the perfumes and lotions that smelled soooo good and then went back outside where I spotted a whole group of duckies!

DSC_0566.jpg

Mommy spotted some birds that had taken over a little boat (I’m sure that’s not what it is, but it kind of looked like one!)

Goodbye for now, Canada!

SIDENOTE: Can you guys tell me what site you use to upload your pictures and put them on here? I use photobucket, but I've been noticing it's been ruining the quality of my photos! They look 10000% more clear when I'm looking in my documents. If anyone has advice, I'd greatly appreciate it!

haha, I love that 'Yoga Bear' shirt! :rotfl:
I never looked in those gardens by Canada, I'll have to do that next time! :thumbsup2
& yeah, I'm 5'6 and tower over the characters, too!

Oh wow! I really need to look around the Canada pavilion more, everything looks so pretty, especially those waterfalls :goodvibes Love the Yoga bear T-shirt  LOL And why are there red phone booths in Canada? I'm very confused (:

Ooooo... more ducks! They seem to be everywhere in World Showcase especially in Canada and end up on TRs, WOW! LOL

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

P.S. Really? I use Photobucket and I never had a problem with them changing the quality of my photos, though it may be because the size of your photos are smaller when looking at word documents than at full-size so the quality changes with the pixelation larger, so you are noticing it that way. If that's how your looking at it, it will be the same on most sites, but I think Photobucket is still the best.

It's so funny! I love stuff like that. Haha yeah it's a nice little section! It's great how there's always something new to do at Disney. :thumbsup2 Ahh I'm glad I'm not the only one. I always wonder if the really short ones can even see me :lmao:

Ahah yes! I thought of you when I was posting the waterfall pics!
And ohmygosh, yesterday they closed the second floor or Canada with all the stores. I saw it on twitter. I just found that so weird, because yesterday I posted all about discovering new Canada stuff. :rotfl: Haha I saw a really cute one in Japan just chilling in the pond by itself. It was PRECIOUS! :lovestruc

Ohh and I see what you mean about photobucket. Yeah, that's probably it. Thanks!

Good morning everybody! I hope you all are having a nice and relaxing weekend. Now on to the update!

After we were still in shock that Canada had a second floor, we continued to the United Kingdom. I'll try and let the pictures do the talking, but I may add some things.

I tried on this cute hat. Other people in the store said it looked good, but I don't have anywhere to wear it! So back to the display it went.

This is one of the best pavilions IMO, there's so many neat things to see. Like this bench.

DSC_0589.jpg

Then, we went over to see Impressions de France.

We never saw this before so I was excited. This film is lovely! France is SO beautiful, it's incredible. And mom loved that they had seats. She said Canada and China should follow and do the same. :rotfl: I had forgotten that the show lets out in the gift shop (How could I? Did I forget where I was? Hah! ) so that was a nice surprise. One of these would have been a nice addition to my room. :thumbsup2

DSC_0592.jpg

We passed by the bakery (Which we did not go in this trip! We usually have a tradition of going there every year. I get a strawberry tart and chocolate mousse and mom gets.....something I can't remember. Probably something key lime, she loves that!)

Love all your WS pictures. I've seen something new (to me) in every pavillion so far. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to appreciate epcot more.

Great UK and France pictures! They both are such pretty pavilions. If only I had checked them out more over the last times I was near them. :/ The little Tea Garden or whatever it is in the UK is the place I would like to finish most. And I love that they have all the Beatles memorabilia placed in one area. Speaking of them, I see the place where the British Invasion played at the UK is gone. So sad :(

Oooooo... I definitely got to check out the France movie and wait... there are no seats at the China and Canada movies... wow! I always thought they all had seating arrangements... So much I don't know. And I would totally take one of those Eiffel Towers too, maybe the Green one.

I can't believe you didn't end up buying anything at the bakery. Everything just looks so good in there and it draws in so many. Oh, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it... cue my exit!

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Why am I so excited? Because I might be going to DISNEYLAND! That's right, DisneyLAND. Not anytime too soon, but it will be for a very special occasion! My 16th birthday. :thumbsup2 We still have a while to go until then, because I am still 14 and my birthday is not till October 5th, but it's never too early to start planning a trip to a whole new place! There's so much to learn about Disneyland. I have two Disneyland planning books that I've been reading, and of course I've been reading stuff online. I've been checking out the Disneyland boards, and they have a TR thread! I'm making a PTR today so that my plans for that vacation won't clash with this trip report. I'd love it if you guys joined in, even if you've never been to Disneyland! We'll learn about everything together. :cheer2:

Here's the link to my PTR!

Love all your WS pictures. I've seen something new (to me) in every pavillion so far. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to appreciate epcot more.

Thanks! You always have next trip. ;) I enjoy all of the Beatles stuff, and I'm not much of a fan. It's not like I don't like them or anything, I just don't really know much about them. My mom on the other hand.....:rotfl: she loves them. In the one gift shop where I took a picture of the "LOVE" sign, they had a whole board full of trivia and my mom was reading them saying "I know every answer. :cool2:" Aww, I'm so oblivious. I didn't know where they played was gone. :( We never stayed that long to watch them, I think one time my mom made me haha but they were good. Speaking of Epcot groups, Off Kitler is pretty good. :goodvibes

Yep! It's because Canada and China have 360 screens. I suggested they get spinny chairs so you can check out all of the screens while sitting. :thumbsup2 Yes go see the France movie! It's underrated IMO. It's now one of my favorites.

Ah I know, I'm totally regretting that now as I'm sitting here snacking on baby carrots. :rotfl: I'll make up for it in November. ;)

Mom and I are going on our very first Mom/daughter trip to WDW in Jan. I am excited too! I can't wait to finish reading your report. Just your airplane pics got me sooo excited about our upcoming trip. LOL, and I dislike flying but it takes me to WDW so I tolerate it.

The France movie is great, isn't it? And I didn't realize the movies in Canada & China didn't have seats..I've never seen them before..but they should get seats!
--
& how exciting that you might go to Disneyland:goodvibes..I've never been either..probably becuase it's all the way on the other side of the country..(but it is for you, too though)
