We'll sleep when we get home! A fun-filled mother/daughter vacation! (Updated 1/21)

We're here!

Now here's where a funny moment happened. It's hot. It's Florida. It's the middle of the afternoon. There's a line full of hot people that just want to get back to their resort and rest. But I didn't know that. So I got off the boat and decided to take a picture right over here, because it looked pretty.

My mom said "Steph, did you get a picture of the boat?" No, I did not, but now I did.

Then we turned around and saw the line. The nice boat driver was patiently waiting and smiling, and we were just taking our sweet old time! It was hilarious, but we felt kind of bad!

Soon the Pop bus came and we were home. We went in the pool thinking that would be refreshing, but it wasn't. The pool seemed to be warmer than sitting out in the sun! I was so exhausted, I was going to fall asleep in the pool if I stayed in there any longer, so we went up to the room. I needed something healthy to eat after that lunch, so after I took a little nap mommy ran to Everything Pop to pick up some apples and grapes. Yum!

The Magic Kingdom was open until 3am that night, so we went back at around 8pm. I can't find any pictures of that night - so I'm guessing it was raining and we left the camera in the room! I do have some pictures of some souvenirs I got that day, so I'll leave you all with that.

Here's a cute Tangled book I got at the Contemporary. I couldn't resist.

I got this Philharmagic shirt that I LOVE!

And this is not a souvenir, but here's our poster in our room! 60's section.

It was really fun! We never made it to the GF, but we'll definitely stop there in November to check out their Gingerbread House.

I keep seeing things in trip reports that I have not seen before and need to do. Like see the shop in Splash Mountain and the shop in Canada. Also, I need to have a Kaki Gori (and I like the little oasis where you ate yours)!

Haha I know, the only way you can tell the difference is by the cast members standing there!

Oh, I love the Polynesian! It's such a beautiful resort , I love the theming there, especially when incorporating Disney characters. The tikis and the waterfall are the best part about the Poly, I love your pictures next to the Tiki and the few around the waterfall, so pretty. I'm sorry about getting sick after eating the greasy food, but at least it only lasted for that day and didn't ruin the rest of your trip

Bay Lake looks so pretty! I love the pictures of all the other resorts, it looked like a perfect day to be in Disney and that's awesome the guy was being patient when you guys for you to take a picture of the boat And glad to see you got refreshed at POP to go back to MK, sad to see there were no pictures, your pictures really are very nice And I love the souvenirs you got, especially that Mickey's PhilharMagic shirt

Ahaha yes, I love doing super updates! The Polynesian is the best. We almost didn't want to go back to Pop... Yeah, it could have been worse! Thankfully we were only in the room for a couple hours.

Everyday is perfect in Disney. But yes, that day was extra fun! The boat driver was patient but I don't know if I could say the same about the 20 some people in line.. I really don't know why I didn't take any! Maybe because I wasn't feeling too hot I didn't want to lug around the camera. But thanks so much!

I always thought it'd be fun, but then when I think about it more they probably wouldn't run around the parks like my mom and I do. Thank you! Haha there was a 5 minute wait only because someone jumped out of the ride vehicle during the last part of the ride. Guess I should have included that in the TR, don't know how I forgot that of all things.

I loved your pics of NYC. My dd is obsessed with the theater and performing and has been begging for a trip to NYC to visit Broadway and see some shows. We're going to plan a trip for 2012.

Just started reading through your trip report today, mainly because I'm missing Disney at the moment (haven't been since June). Luckily I only live about 2hrs drive from there, but getting time off to go is hard.
Also, just wanted to say that pretty much all of my Disney trips have been with just my mom (50) and me (20) and it seems like those are the best.
Love love love Pop Century, started going there almost 3 years ago and haven't looked back since. Maybe sometime, if there's a good AP code I'll make it to a Moderate or Deluxe resort.

I've seen Wicked, Billy Elliot, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins and Hairspray. I've also seen a few off broadway, including Peter Pan. I absolutely love theater too. Thanks for joining in! Mother-daughter trips are certainly very fun. There's a great 40% off deluxe for fall right now! We originally had a PIN code for the week after Thanksgiving, but changed to AP since we could get a discounted dining plan.

Today was our first Hollywood Studios day. We weren’t rushing at all because last night we were at the Magic Kingdom until 2 in the morning! We arrived around 12pm.

We walked through the gift shops so we could avoid crowds on the street. I really liked this!

We heard music coming from the street and it was the new Disney Channel Rocks show. We never stayed in one place to watch it, but we heard the music a lot when we were walking by different times throughout the day and I loved singing along.

We walked through the Animation Courtyard and then passed the Voyage of the Little Mermaid because I think the next showtime was far away.

We walked past my favorite street signs, thanks to a certain lady named Stacey who mentions them a lot in the room!

I love this picture!

We didn't do the mad-dash to TSM at rope drop at all throughout the trip but we always lucked out with short wait times.. The time said 70 minutes, but I doubted it. You couldn’t even see the line from outside! So, we went in and waited for however long it would be.

Mommy said this was her favorite color, so I took a picture!

We got a kick outta this:

The people in line were patient when it came to taking pictures with this Mr. Potato Head, so we were able to get a couple of pictures with little hassle! A couple of years ago when we were in line, a lady in her power scooter zoomed by the line when a family was taking pictures.

We made it on the ride within 30 minutes or so. The line does go by quickly with all of the photo-ops! I’m going to leave you all with this beautiful picture:

Great trip report! I love both Disney and NYC! Unfortunately we went to NYC this last June, and I injured my back so I only got to see the city for a short while before the pain became unbearable. I have decided if I won the lottery I would for sure get an apartment in New York, LOVE IT!!!!

Thanks for the pictures, I have 10 days until we go and my back still hurts so this is helping me gain the strength to go!
