Morning!

Happy Birthday, Alan! :)

Elaine, glad you had a nice time at the concert. It sure was cold yesterday, wasn't it?

Tara, sorry about the cc charges. Hope you can get it all straightened out.

Happy Birthday, Alan!!

Thanks for all the thoughts about my uncle and kitty.
My aunt is doing alright, she knew it was time.

Tara...I think I am joining you in the sickie department :(
Kind of expected it with Dave coughing for the last week.
No cough here, it seems to have settled in my throat and ears.....not good for flying.
so......taking it easy this week and hoping to lick it before next weekend.

CC problems are not fun.
We had some from Mexico once and a bunch from internet shopping not too long ago

We are still going out with Christin today ::yes::

Grrrr... every time I go to post, it takes for ever to load!

Where is everyone today? :(

Nancy, have fun with Christin!

We are off to church soon :wave2:

Happy Birthday, Alan!! party: party: party: party: party: :bday:

Picture an exciting gift of roadkill here! :thumbsup2 ;)

Nancy - sorry about your Uncle - and  - I hope your kitty turns up safe and sound.

Sorry that the germies have struck you and Tiara. My throat and ear still hurt - but the coughing is much better and the asthma is almost gone!

Kim - exciting Ohno race, huh??

I need to go write that column. Finished the rest of the newspaper at 2:00 am this morning.

bump from page 3!!

Managed to scrap a little today. My head still feels like it has been stuffed with cotton...but other than that I'm good!! Sorry others feel yucky!!

I have an all day dental appt. and then after that Ethan has a doc appt. Then if if I feel okay, I'm going bowling tomorrow. So I probably wont' be around tomorrow much!

Have a good day...oh and Happy Birthday Bama Boy!!

tara

Yuck Tara, good luck with your day today!!!! I do not envy you having to do that today!

Pammy, hope everything gos well for your column! I have no idea how you do it! I am not good with that kind of pressure.

Luis works today so nothing different here. I need to see if Penzey's is open today (they have odd hours) and restock my supply. I am low on a lot o that I use often.
Otherwise same old same old here!

Oh we stopped at a new fast food chinese place last night. Got an interesting fortune cookie... "The opposite of fear is love" Luis made some comment that Alan would appreciate ;) but I thought that one was neat

I'm guessing it will be quiet here due to the day off for most... I'll check in now and hten :)

Morning Ya Yas!

I made it home, Finally! What a drive home.

Elaine, what was going on over near your part of the world. We were stuck on I-71 in traffic for 2 1/2 hours only got about 5-6 miles. Whew! Some sort of accident. Prayers for those involved, but it got to be a bit stressful to us waiting to pass. Lucky we had just refueled and didn't have to go bathroom either.

I meant to say something last week too. "House," not thinking I liked the direction of that episode. I understand, just don't like that story line.

Nancy, prayers to your family. Sorry no kitty yet. Yay! for Dave.

Kimmie, kitties inthe crawl space. Glad you found them.

Tara, I do not envy your day at all. Hope it goes smoothly.

Paula, glad the counseling visit seemed to go well. Continued prayers that it all works to a good resolution.

Get well to all who are still in need.

Our visit with my GF went well. It is difficult for me to imagine losing my Mom--it will not be pretty for me. We are quite close. My friend is handling this quite well and really understands Mom is in a better place now I think.

We went to visit driving GF's daughter who attends Univ Cinci. Older daughter came along with us to visit her sister while we visited oru friend. We stayed in younger's apt and had a girls pj party...us oldsters were asleep b4 the young things. We did some reminiscing. The last time we al pj'd was in Paris so the French wine was consumed in the nostalgia of the night.

Alan, Happy Birthday belatedly. Hope you had a great one.

Morning!
Got to sleep in today. :bounce: I needed it.

Just gonna veg today. Watch some recorded stuff on the DVR or maybe a movie before Junior goes to work.

Good morning.

Good luck today, Tara. Doesn't sound like a fun one. Glad you are feeling better.
Me too.

Ugh...Lily. Traffic.
Glad you got some fun in there.

 Elaine, Suzanne and everyone else.

House cleaning and laundry here today....oh fun.

Happy Monday Everyone...

Chinese food was wonderful Saturday night (as were the leftovers for lunch yesterday0 - after filling our tummies we came home and watched Elizabethtown.

Yesterday I was up early for church and errands - scheduled to work 12-5 which turned out to he till 6:45 - pretty cranky by the end of the day - had to "clean up" and enter work orders that weren't done on Saturday. Had a big turkey dinner last night. Alyssa followed Ryan home in my car - he goes back to school today and she will be driving home. Chris went to a friends - called me at about 10:00 said he was sleeping at another friends - then called me again at 11:30 and said "we changed our mind we are coming to our house to sleep" - now don't get me wrong I appreciate the commuinicaton - switching pople is so confusing for me - must be a guy thing.....

Belated Birthday Greetings Alan..... :bday:
Good Morning Nancy - my thoughts are with you in the loss of your Uncle.
Sherry - enjoy your day!! :3dglasses
Lily - :sunny: yuck on traffic but glad to hear that your tiem with your girlfriends went well.
Hi Elaine - enjoy your day!! :)
Tara - good luck with all the appointments - hope you get to bowl... :smooth:
Pam....how's that article coming?? :coffee:

Hugs and good day wishes for everyone that I missed....

Sounds like I was a day off with the Chinese... we had that yesterday. What did you all think of Elizabethtown? I am still shocked Luis loved it!

Lily, sorry about that accident! There are parts of 71 I positively avoid due to terrible traffic and the likelihood of getting caught in back ups due to accidents. Same goes for parts of 70 around the city.

I'm not sure I am keen on the direction at all... I wish I could watch House tonight, but the fools had ot put it on at 8 due to stupid AI... sorry I don't think AI is all that great to keep moving around other series

Nancy, have fun!! I've been doing a bit of that today already

Paula, I have to laugh, I don't thik that's a guy thing... my friends nad I used to do that a lot when we were younger. Just wanted to go where we could have the most fun I think

I should get back to it all, but I'm already kind of tired. Since I hurt my knee rather badly on Sat night, I think I'm taking it easy this week when it comes to work ous and the like.

Guess where I was... 4th row... literally spitting distance from Mac. Oh and he liked our side too... even mentioned how spirited we were. So I waved to him an Ty and they both waved back and looked me dead in teh eye. That's how close I was.
Yay yay yay!!!!! :cool1: Fourth row! That's where we were for the last one! Excellent place to be!! Aren't they fun!?! They put on a great show. They seem like such a great group of guys. You're a true Gomer now. ;) Some of those Gomes are... really uh... passionate aren't they? :teeth: Did you get lost in a sea of orange? :p

Kim - exciting Ohno race, huh??
OMG! I never thought I'd see someone out there that could beat Apolo. Ahn and his teamates are AMAZING!!! Gotta take my hat off to them, that is one strong team!!

Hi Sherry! Have you been watching him too? :p Poor guy. He's had a rough Olympics. :worried:

Nancy, the kitchen is coming along. All of the new cabinets are in now and we're in the 2 week waiting period for the granite counter top. We've okayed the slabs chosen in our color, the template has been cut and now we just wait for them to cut it and install. Two of the new appliances are in *fridge and range* No wait! Three. Micro/hood over the range. Used one of my new ovens yesterday. We bought a range that has two. This way I'll still have one after I torch one. :p After the counter is in, the dishwasher and sink can be installed and theeeen comes new floor, which is a good thing because tearing out the old cabinets really did a number on the floor. :p What type of work are you and Dave hoping to do around your place?

Okay I'm impressed. Kudos to Dave on the wood working jobs! That's awesome!

...and speaking of writing, how's things going for Pammy?

What's happening on House? I haven't been watching this season. We've been catching up with last season via DVDs.

Hi Paula  LOL, Chris sounds like Cam. He did a lot of switching around with his friends this weekend too. Made me crazy trying to keep up. :)

Elaine, I really liked Elizabethtown. Cute movie. :)

Kimmie, yep, I'm watching Apolo. :teeth: Poor guy is having a tough time. :( Sounds like the kitchen is coming along nicely. :)

Sherry, enjoy time with DH before he leaves. Glad you get veg time too.

Oh no, Ohno is not doing well, sorry to hear that. I've missed everything.

Elizabethtown, maybe I should watch that some day...have so many that I want to see.

Nancy, I've meant to say that I like your siggie pic. Nice family there!

LOL, Lily... actually the boards are *reaaaaaally* slow for me right now. Taking forever.

That and I was out running errands and the like.

No real time to stop in since I do have to get the cats' fountain cleaned up and reset up for them before they awaken :p

Okay, Kimmie, what was with all the Gomers? For that matter, what IS a Gomer? I did see a bunch of orange, but the majority of the people there were students at that ultra-conservative school. Though it always amazes me, how in such a Christian environment, you run into so many fake looking slutty gals. Oh well :p
They did put on an awesome show! And the David Crowder band was good too!
Glad to hear that your kitchen is moving along nicely! Some days I wish I could totally redo mine. Not much you can do with a galley kitchen though ;)

Sherry, thanks... I was wondering if people really liked it or if it was just me. a lot of the big city reviewers didn't care for it. I thought it was great and reminded me of things I'd see in my family :p

Howdy Lily! Do watch the flick, good one ;)

I need ot get moving! See ya'll later!

hey gang,

made it back from the dentist bt didn't make it to the peds office. it wasn't for something that has to be seen for right now, just don't want to have to take time off from work.

they gave me 1 10mg valium and that didn't touch me so after more than an hour they gave me some liquid that i guess worked its magic. The appt was about 2.5 hours and I thought I was pretty conscious and coherent when I left but my mom said I was pretty funny on the ride home. I don't rmemeber anything.

they told me that I was not allowed to drive until tomorrow so my car is sitting at the dentists office and my brother is taking me to my bowling tonight and bringing me home. It irks me that i can't drive myself. :(

Oh well, gotta get ready for Chris to pick me up in a bit, he has to pick me up on his way home from work so he doesn'thave to back track.

I'll check back in later!!
tara

okay, i lied. i just callrd my db and told him that i'm staying home tonight. i'm exhausted. oh and my typing is being impaired by the kid on my lap and the one chattering next to me. kids...they are always so helpful!! hehehe

have fun tonight gang!
tara

Holy crud this took forever to get through

will not complain anymore now ;)

Tara, glad you survived the day! I am even more so that you are staying home. Sounds like you needed it!!!

Luis just came hom and we need to eat so I can go off to my knitting group tonight.

Y'all can laugh at me. I went to clean out hte fountain for the kitties and as soon as I had it all set up, I realized I was out of filters... so I had to make a quick run to the store. Of course the shoe store next door had a sale and I had to resist buying. By the time I got home, Cleo was not happy with me... she yelled at me for about 5 minutes until I finished getting the fountain hookd up :p
