If y'all have any spare prayers, PD, whatever, could you please send them Junior's way? He found out this morning that his kidney is failing and he has Pancreatitis and Hypertension. They have put him on a pill for the diabetes as they don't have time to see if a diet will lower his sugar. He is also on 2 other pills for the pancreas and kidney troubles. This is all so overwhelming and frustrating and we sure could use some prayers.

In a blah kind of a mood... so not terribly chatty. However, for the boring part of my life, it seems I got a lot of a room cleaned out today. It's the thorn in my side room... the one I've avoided working on for a long time.

Hey All,

Busy day at work. My coworkers fiances grandmother died and she is off for the next couple of days. I feel so badly for her they were really close. We have a new MA also because the one that was pregnant left and she got a trial by fire on her third day poor thing. She did great though. Really pitched in even though she was unsure exactly how things are done. Thankfully she learns really fast which is something the other one just couldnt grasp.

Elaine I kinda wonder what Dayquil would do if I took it LOL!! My luck it would put me to sleep which wouldnt go over too well with the boss LOL!! Sorry to hear you were up with a racing heart last night due to the cough med. I sure wish that nasty bug would go away for you. I finally had to take some Advil Allergy and Sinus today because my sinuses were in such a mess at work. You could hear how messed up they were in my voice.

I was very bold about something yesterday. Yall know I took both a pay and hour cut when I took this job well yesterday I asked for a raise even though I havent quite been there for a year yet. They GAVE it to me!! I almost fell over. I have never ever asked for a raise before in my life. I took a chance and I did it and I got it. Nothing huge but its a raise. Dh was shocked that I did it as I am the original fraidy cat when it comes to stuff like that.

Tara how ya doing today? How is the sick kidlet and sir crabass?? ROFL. Im sorry that still makes me giggle.

Well Ive been writing this for the past two hours I best get it posted before I lose it.

Hi all...

I only read a bit, but wanted to give my prayers to Dave, Beth, Sherry and Junior.

Beth...I am the opposite of you. I am glad my Mom didn't go unexpectedly. I loved being able to tell her anything I may have forgotten and I had siblings that needed the time to make things right with her. It was difficult to watch, but there is a reason for everything. Unfortunately the Lord doesn't always show us the reason till way later. Take Care....give Dave a hug for me.

Sherry...please keep us updated. That is a big hit for your family. Are there any next steps besides the medicine for his kidney problems?

Nyquil....that puts me to sleep for a couple hours then I am up the rest of the night and I only take a 1/2 dose. A full dose and I can't sleep either.

Alan...how old is the cat? Looks like Bubba has taken to the family well.

I think we need a rule around here about mentioning food and not posting the recipe...that should be against the law

Well gotta get to work. Hope to stop by more often, just not sure. I am now in a more open area till they remodel my cube.

Long day yesterday-drove up to Jacksonville and back in one day. 400 miles round trip. As soon as I get the kids off to school, I'm back to bed!

Productive day. Donna's den was overrun with boxes of junk that she and the ex never bothered to open when they moved-in 1999. I had to ask a lot of "what will you do with that?" "when's the last time you used it?" type stuff! It became a joke at how many piece of luggage, wallets and calculators she owns. Several trash runs and a load to Goodwill. Lunch at the Cheesecake Factory was my reward. (pssst, try eating at 3pm for no wait )

Karen...congrats on the raise! Sir Crabass was feeling much better yesterday and was actually a decent kid. I asked him if he wanted his bath and then started carrying him up the stairs. He screamed and kicked and flailed like I was going to drown him. But as soon as he saw the tub he tried to get in with all of his clothes on Jarrod is feeling better, still a little sniffly but better.

JRKaren...nice save! We might have been lost forever if you hadn't found us. are you all ready for your trip next week?? I hope you aren't flying the airline that just went belly up (??Jet Blue??).

Last night on the way to the gym I didn't think I was hungry but every restaurant I passed I wanted to stop and eat at!! and one of the places was Cheesecake Factory. I might just have to get over there in a couple of weeks when I have the whole day off for Jarrod's counseling appt. I made the appt for Friday the 3rd so that I could have the whole day off and get to my scrap booking weekend early!! hehehe

Got my new printer yesterday - hooking it up today.
Last night's conversation was about Chris getting a car....just some background info - right now we have 2 working vehicles - both new and 4 drivers.....when my husband bought his new truck (no one drives that but him) we kept his old one for the kid s- we've had problems with it but it was a good "around town" truck - until of course my husband got into an accident with it on the ver sayme day that he fixed it.... since that was a 3rd "family vehicle" we paid the insurance...now Jeffrey telling chris that if he gets his own car he has to pay 1/2 insurance but that he will be insured on all of our cars still...Chris not understanding why he has to pay insurance for all of our vehicles....another twist - Jeffrey says save the $$ ...Chris says he can't without another job and can't get another job because he does not have a car.....(I told him the other day that when Alyssa comes home for the summer she has seniority on my car - thank god I work at home)....by the end of the conversation my head was spinning and Chris was frustrated.....

Speaking if frustrated.....Chris has exams this week - didn't study last night because "we can take notes to class so my friend is typing them up for both of us".....

That's quite a trip there Suzanne! And I agree, going at slightly off hours is about the only way we don't get a wait at CF. I think the latest we can go is 5PM, though weeknights aren't too terrible at ours

Tara, sounds like a perfect way to spend the day off after Jarrod's appt. I think that's the day I have a hair appt scheduled. I figured I needed a new cut before my birthday & trip

Paula good luck working out the car thing. I was lucky, my parents paid insurance and for the family junker we all shared until I was out of college. Once that happened, I paid all that. They didn't want me to worrya bout working while in school I guess.

I'm already tired. I've been hauling boxes out of here that really didn't belong. Taking a breather before I get back at it.

We've already had one fight this morning. The kids are grumpy and mean. Two of my kids felt the need to argue with me all bell. I called home to make sure that my own kid wasn't acting that way...well, he's doing the same thing the kids here are doing. Where is the moon today? ugh!

Paula, trust me, my place needs clean sweep, too. I just know how my friend is going to freeze and not do anything if she's overwhelmed. She knows the mantra now, so I think that will help her finish up what she has to do in that room, which isn't much. She's just gotta get the ex to come get his stuff now. I'm just a sentimental, but I don't save wallets and shoe jewelery because my parents gave them to me!

Sherry, awww, prayers and PD for Junior. Hopefully the insulin dependence will be a short thing. I know several diet controlled diabetics that started on Insulin, so odds are in his favor.
