Evening, all.

I'm hijacking some bandwith from a neighbor again. This is gonna be a quick one, because I don't know how long I've got it. Some interesting names for wireless networks, although I should talk. Ed's email and nickname for the network is a Dom Deluise character!

He got called into work, so if the Adelphia guy came today, we have no way of knowing. He's not answering the phone in the morning, because Brighthouse has to come out here. Cannot be without internet, especially with getting my new work email set up. I need to meet with some people before my official start date (my assistant manager for one) and we are using the company email for it.

Yes, I did give notice today. Kinda interesting response to my leaving (told me that she knew I'd been interviewing and I shouldn't talk to my team-whatever) but I didn't burn any bridges. In fact, both store mgr and DM are very interested in doing sessions of their own, lol!

In a twist of irony, I'd interviewed with Build a Bear a little while ago. Didn't hear back, but that wasn't a surprise. They didn't have any openings, were looking for 'bench' people. Today, the store manager came hunting me down.
She laughed when I told her I'd just turned in my notice an hour before! Gotta admit, it IS kinda funny!

Suzanne...totally recovered. I felt very stiff after the walk, but the next morning I was fine (totally shocked me). I'm not sure if it was the fact that I had an electric blanket on me or what. The only think uncomfortable was the bottom of my feet and that is understandable since any exercise I did was in a gym and not on concrete. I told Liz last night that this is the last time I will be able to walk 13 miles without training, next time I won't be so lucky.

Beth...our car has cost us the last month. I feel your pain as I know Liz is also.

Nancy...enjoy your camera.

Lily...where are you???? Thinking of ordering a Garmin. Amazon has $20 rebate and if I sign up for their credit card first I get $30 off first purchase. I would cancel the card once I paid it off..so the cost would be almost 1/2.

Elaine...if Luis isn't feeling well it is all that food he ate on Saturday

Good morning all! I have a very needy cat on my lap right now... we'll see if she winds up behaving or not. Most of the time she winds up snuggling and then getting in the way of the keyboard or mouse

Nancy, very slow day... it was slow enough that I gave up on the DIS mostly yesterday.
What camera did you wind up getting?

Bethie, sorry you got the same storm we had... we were under the tornado watch during the night though... more rain too I think. Glad it wasn't too bad there. Good luck with the CPA work... sounds like you are a busy lady!

Suzanne, I hope you get that internet back soon! What a pain to deal with! Very interesting about the response to your resigning. I just hope you have a great time with the new job!

Amanda, so glad you didn't get stiff at all from the walk. That was one reason why I decided I wouldn't do it I'll tell Luis that about the food... I swear sometimes he is rather proud of what he can all pack away

Luis is feeling better today though and I believe he will be on his way soon to Pittsburgh. Hopefully he'll be back w/in a reasonable amount of time.

Snow missed us. Although they are still saying there could be a chance of snow showers later today.

Beth, bummer about the car. I'll be in that boat this weekend. Our van needs new tires, oil change, brakes, and an alignment.

We'll see on the camera. I actually don't enjoy playing with them. I just want it set and ready to point and shoot. That is about as all I am capable of.
It is a Canon A620.....about the same size as the one I have, but better

Not sure what I am doing today besides a trip to the post office.
Since I bought 3 copies of Narnia yesterday , Geoff's Easter package is ready to start the journey.

Have to say, the weekend was spectacular. Thanks to Elaine for being so gracious to come get me so I could visit for a short while. Yes, I did love that ice cream. Oh and the walk to get there was "just right."

The DIS may be cooperating for Tara, but it isn't for me yet I did get a bunch of errands stuff done and started in on some knitting projects I wanted to finish this weekend (not all will be done, but the belts should be). I'm about to hop in the shower though since I just got off the bike!

Sherry, I do hope you had teh blue skies here that we did! They were awesome and it is now back in the 50s... I much prefer that kind of weather!

Nancy, that's the same camera my sister has. I played with it for a minute and it is very nice Sorry you didn't get to sleep in... Cleo did bug me at 7 am and told me I had to hold her for a while... then again at 8

Tara, you didn't miss it, we haven't moved the hutch yet. I finally called my dad yesterday to set up a time for the two of them to move it. They'll do it on Saturday while I am at a baby shower.

Tara,

How to steal (cough,cough) bandwith:
1. Get laptop
2. Sit outside on patio or lanai with laptop
3. Turn on laptop and click on the 'view wireless networks in range"
4. Pick unsecured network with best signal.
5. You're done (and this is called 'pinging')!
Don't do any shopping or sensitive stuff, though. Some people purposely leave their networks unsecured to share the connection, had neighbors up north that did. We jumped to wireless when I got the laptop, because two dial ups and one phone is not gonna work!

Yes, I have my internet back. Tech from brighthouse said the guy broke it really good. I called Adelphia and now have a damage claim in. they have to call by friday or it escalates. I mentioned how I felt the contractor was reflecting their company ideals and if this was his behavior, I wouldn't want him out their representing MY company. Point was taken.

Gotta go get some drinks and cream cheese to finish up dinner. Back after the boys are in bed.
