Evening all...

My oldest is 10 today, just seems like yesterday that she was born. I think this is the first year I can truly say that. I am setting up her ipod, now I can have mine back;) well at least till Cassie decides to use it.

Alan...I dread when our oldest cat goes. We thought this summer it would happen, but have been blessed. Prayers as you guys adjust to one family member leaving.

Tara...I found the lbs you lost:( I loved your Christmas card. Glad you got some extras.

For the first time one of us had the opportunity to ask my MIL where she got a gift because it doesn't work and needs to go back, she is always returning our gifts. Of course she tells Mandy that she can bring it to her and she'll see what she can do. I have a feeling someone else either picked up the gift for her to give or it was given to her for free. We'll have to see how this one turns out.

Tomorrow the girls are going to help with the homeless lunches. Should be a good day. Gotta go work on a last scarf for tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Mandy!!! woohoo!! double digits now! :woohoo:

Glad my cards are getting there before Jan. 1st. hehehehe i wasn't so sure!

I've made a plan to make sure I get up and do some work around the house tomorrow. I finally feel like i'm becoming myself again! It's only taken a week! geez!

well...I can't think of anything witty or exciting so i'm going to leave it here and i'll be back tomorrow!

tara

Morning everyone...

Back to work today, luckily it is from home. Tomorrow I am back in the office, the off for the holidays Monday and Tuesday:cheer2:

Tara...glad you are feeling better.

Have a terrific Thursday everyone!

Morning!
9:43 and I haven't done a bit of work. Wonder how much longer I can surf
the internet :rolleyes1

Morning!

Glad to hear everyone had a good Christmas. Ours was good. We had a fun time at my mom's. Got home after midnight and wrapped gifts and Junior made a cheesecake. :rolleyes1 Woke up Christmas morning and the boy's were thrilled with their gifts. We had breakfast then just hung out until time to go to Junior's grandfather's house. Had lots of yummy food. SIL's, BIL's and nephews came here and we opened more gifts. Then our friends came over and hung out for awhile. We all got hungry, so we headed to Denny's. :lmao: One set of inlaws went home and the other set came here and took 2 of the boy's with them to spend the night.

Went shopping yesterday and I did manage to find 2 new shirts.

Alan, I am so sorry to hear about Winston. :(

Happy belated birthday to Mandy. :)

Tara, glad your starting to feel better. Good deal on the extra cards.

Rose Mary, Jordan got an iPod, too. :teeth: Sorry you have to work so much.

Suzanne, are you enjoying the Wii? :teeth: Gotta check out your threads.

Elaine, glad Dom enjoyed his first Christmas, even if he just slept through it all. :)

Kristy, glad you survived time with family.

Not sure what we're doing today. I think we might just stay home and watch movies & DVR stuff. We did watch 2 movies last night.

Well...we can no longer pass out lunches, clothes, etc where our church has done it for the last several years. We were run off by an officer today:( It appears you now have to get a permit, go to a specified location and can only do it 2 times a year.

Sherry...Tell Junior I see how he is:rolleyes: Glad you had a great Christmas. What big items did the boys get this year?

RM...I have the same issue as you today;)

Amanda, sorry you were run off by the police. :sad2: I'll give Junior your message. ;) The big items were the iPod, a bass guitar, and an electric guitar.

Alan-sorry about Winston..
(btw--I was also a Palladin)

Suzanne--whats your highest wii bowling score?
I have a couple 279's...my buddy rolled a 300..
Wonder if there is a way you could post your Wii Mii...?:happytv:

Sherry--sounds like your going tohave a noisy house:rockband:

Rosemary--:tiptoe: :wave2:

Tara--glad you're feeling like yourself again..is that good or bad? :duck:

Pam--:dancer:

ELaine--:duck:

Good Morning all.....

We had a great Christmas here - kids loved their gifts - Alyssa marveled at my ingenuity for finding "different gifts" - a coffee mug that said "embrace your inner llama" - a tote bag that said "peace, love and wiener dogs" - hahha - my internet surfing paid off! She was very excited about the DDR (Dance,Dance Revolution) for the Wii - I think they'll be going back to the house this weekend to set it up. Chris was really happy with "all the clothest hat will keep me toasty while I work" - I think he was really surprised with all we gave him.
Jeffrey and I decided to keep our gifts to a small price limit because the cruise is definitely a gift - he got me (via Alyssa of course) - a new quilt for our bed (I'll be checkign JC Penney for matching sheets - etc) and a Pfaltzgraff Winterberry tea pot - I feel a new collection starting.
My godson gave me the ox and goat to add to my Willow Tree nativity scene.

>>>>oh - even better - this I def need to take a pic of - Alyssa made me 2 gifts - an alpaca scarf (one of her roomates tought her to knit) and a beautiful shadowbox with pics from our cruise!!

My dad came here for dinner and we went to the in-laws later in teh afternoon.

I worked the overnight shift Christmas night - not too busy but boy did I have a hard time staying awake - spent most of the night with my head down on my desk and slept most of the day yesterday.

Last night I took Alyssa and her friend Courtney to see Sweeney Todd - lets just say it was "interesting" - a "dark" musical is definitely different - Tim Burton came thru and I can see why it got good reviews.

And now to ketchup:

Amanda - sounds like you had a busy but nice holiday - sorry about the gift return issue - Happy Birthday to Mandy!!!!!!

Tara - glad you are feeling better - I'm sharing those lbs that you lost with everyone else that found them.

Alan - so sorry to hear that it was time for Winston to leave his earth family -

Elaine - will there be pics of Dom in his Santa suit??

Kristy - glad you had fun - by the way -Alyssa loved her Webkinz penguin.

Suzanne - I guess saying "it's always something " would be an understatement - I am sorry that Neil took the wind out of the Christmas sails - I am with you that the true christmas joy is in watching the faces of everyone as they open gifts.

Sherry - any plans for vaca week with the boys??

Rosemary - are you still at work/not working????

Pam - your brood will appreciate this - my husband got homemade "meat rub" from our godson - yeah - there is no way to tell about that gift without laughing - the jokes were flying all afternoon about that.

Have errands to run this afternoon - I'll check in later.

Hugs all around,

Hi y'all, had a doc appt this morning. All went fine and she is giving me something to help with anxiety/emotions. They've gotten really bad this week and I get panicky when I think about Luis going back to work. She can't fix the gas problem, but she said hopefully I can enjoy Dom more.

I will get pics of Dom in his santa suit. We haven't uploaded them to my computer yet.

Happy Birthday to Mandy (a day late)! I hope it was a good one.
I cannot believe they ran you off though. Amazing how hard it is to get things done that are good like that. You'd think they would want to make it easier to help out those in need.

Tara, I am glad you are feeling a little bit better at least. I hope you are 100% by the new year

Rose Mary, make it a point to do as little work as possible ;)

Sherry, sounds like y'all had a great Christmas!

Todd, is Wii bowling easier than real bowling? I'd kill for scores like that :duck:

Paula, we've done that too with gifts like cruises. I would much prefer a cruise over real gifts under the tree :p

As the day goes on I am not feeling well. This cold is bound to catch me soon.

Suzanne...totally missed your post on Neil. Seeing someone's excitement is the greatest part of Christmas. This year it was a friend whom I had an apron personalized for, we serve Thanksgiving dinner together at church and I always bring her an apron. She put it on right away and wore it the rest of the night during our dessert fellowship. Last year it was a little girl at our church that I had an Ariel towel personalized for.

Elaine...I hope your anxiety gets under control soon.

Paula...Todd didn't get me a cruise but he did get me a gift card to a spa so I can relax for a few hours:love: Still working on another cruise, possibly 2009

Thank you all for your sympathy. It wasn't easy, obviously.

Lainey, it was Cleo that inspired us to order a nice personalized box. I do hope that you feel less anxious soon; I'm sure you'll adjust quickly though.

Happy belated birthday to Mandy!!!
(and sorry about the new regulations for your church, Amanda)

Tara, :rotfl: at the thought of you reusing the cards, but at least you have more to share with anyone that you considered ;) Photo cards are welcomed after Christmas, I'm sure.

Paula, are you going to help rub your husband's..oh, never mind.
You had some creative and (especially from Alyssa) wonderful gifts.

Shep, I was going to say that Palladin was a natural for us since we are both such nice guys, but I tarnished my halo with the comment to Paula :)

I could have used a 20 sided die last night when I played Yahtzee with Rebecca and a blind couple we are friends with. You would think as the only sighted person, I would have scored better. :rolleyes1

I took a pic of their guide dogs along with Bo.

Bo has the smile ;), Isaac is the other standard poodle, and Chloe is the lab. Cute, aren't they?

Howdy, Rose, Sherry, and everyone else!

Both of the other employees in my group are going home sick at lunch so we'll see if it picks up here.

Awwwww Alan, thanks for sharing the cute doggy photo. :goodvibes My DS wants a puppy and I am SO close to giving in. Darn it!
Amanda - hope the germies stay away! I am trying so hard not to get what DS has had since Fri. I caught him drinking out of my cup the other night and wanted to bop him. Happy B'day to Mandy! Can't believe you got run off for trying to do a good deed. I really wonder what this world is coming to.
Paula - sounds like some great gifts around your place. I wanna cruise too! :sad1:
Alan - shame on you!
Hey Shep - sounds like the fun and games continue. LOL I don't have time for fun games. I bought a "brain" game for the DS and after trying it out, let's just say my brain is not working at full capacity :rotfl:
Elaine - Been there and done that too w/the anxiety issues. Another
natural motherly instinct that some of us get worse than others. Glad you got something to help yourself out with that. You are a great mommy and once you get a good schedule going you will be fine.
Sherry - It must be REALLY noisy around your house but, at least the boys are busy, huh?
Tara - Are you getting any work done around the house? I must admit if I were home I wouldn't be getting anything done either. :rolleyes1 Too many movies to watch, music to listen to, books to read, brain games to play........

Alan...all are precious but Bo appears to have more personality on the picture. I can see how you would miss him.

Here is our 10yr old...

There was some beautiful 'scenery'....

I still hope to get to the festival of lights sometime before they close.

Amanda, I am sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope the cold doesn't get any worse. I love the pics you posted though. I can't believe how grown up the girls are. I still remember Cassie and Mandy when they were much younger!

Alan, nice picture! As tough as it was to do what we did with Cleo, it was a relief the day we actually could 'bring her home' again. We plan to do the same thing with all of our furry ones when the time comes.

Rose Mary, you are a sweetie, thank you! It's horrible when you have not so good feelings going on. My doctor is convinced that with the drugs and time, 'I'll be back to myself again. She thinks my body just had so much to go through that it only needs temporary help. Once Dom gets over the bad fussy stage and my hormones level out, I'll most likely be weaned from it.

But here are a few pics of the cutie!

Amanda - What beautiful girls! They have grown up so much. Time goes so fast doesn't it?
And Elaine, Awwwwwwwwwwww Dom is so sweet and handsome. I wish I were there to hold him and help ya' out some. I need a new baby in my family. NOT a grandbaby LOL
I think I have successfully goofed off a good 75% of the day today. tomorrow's goal, 95%. :rotfl:
Off to the chiro for an adjustment. I think I'm addicted. :rolleyes1
Hope everyone has a wonderfull evening.  :hippie:

As always Amanda, your girls are precious.

And Lainey, he is adorable!!

Thanks for posting the pics.

look at all the cute kids!!

The girls are getting so big! and Dom makes an adorable Santa Claus!! wow!!

then i look around my house and hear the screaming, fighting, biting, and such and think....awww isn't life grand  :lmao:

i"m sitting here withe laptop on my lap and in front of the desk top...trying to print out directions for one of jarrod's lego sets. the box had been opened and I hadn't noticed and the book was missing. so now i have to print 76 pages of directions! couldn't have been a small book!! lOL!

Elaine....glad the doc can give you something to help you out for a little while. I hope you are back to feeling like your old self in no time! HOpefully little one will get rid of all that nasty gas and be more comfy! oh and mom said to try a (i'm assuming the gas is Dom's issue and not yours! LOL!) rolled up blanket under his tummy so his butt is up in the air....then the gas will move upwards and out. She had one very coclicky baby with my brother.

headed out in a bit to get some milk and more ink cartridges and exchange a jacket she bought for Ethan. It is one size too small.

I'll be back tonight!
tara

Hi all - quick check in - I have a meeting at work at 9am tomorrow to discuss new scheduling - I think I will be informing a staff member that due to his attendance issues there are no hours available for him in January.

Have an appt tomorrow also for an oil change and hoping to get to the mall to check out some after Christmas bargains.

I did take alot of "people pics" on Christmas - I'll try to get them loaded this week.

Not sure what's for dinner yet.....

Amanda - hope your "bug" passes quickly - nice pics of your girls!

Alan - lovely pics of the pooches!!

Sorry - I hit submit by mistake -

Elaine - Dom looks quite content!! Santa baby he is!!!!!!
