Lilo & Stitch (Live Action)

Yeah, the 90's/early 00's era ones are the ones that will hit that nostalgia button. Snow White didn't do so well because it's just not connected to people in the same way anymore. I mean, people know it and like it enough, but it isn't a formative memory or anything. The Renaissance era is where it's at for the most part.
I think Snow White has just been done to death already and like you said, it's not really one the current generation connects with. Beauty and the Beast had Hermione who was a huge draw. Cinderella was more for the novelty of a live action remake. I think Hercules would do really well if they chose to remake it. I didn't think Aladdin with Will Smith would be a huge hit and it was. I'm not sure how well a live action Pocahontas or Tarzan would do. We know there's a live action Moana coming.

Guy Ritchie is still supposedly attached to a Live Action Hercules with the Russo brothers producing. Though Doomsday and Secret Wars may take away from their availability for it.

Tarzan would be alright to bring live action similar to how Jungle Book was.

The Tangled one was paused but I imagine they’re just holding to see how Moana’s does before resuming it.

My kids wanted to take their grandmother to see this so we all went today. I thought it was a very cute film. Good acting all around and the animation on Stitch was well done. I have no affinity for the original and have only watched it twice with our kids when they were young. My oldest used to be a huge Stitch fan but has grown out of it a bit. She was prepared to not like it because "it didn't stay true to the source material". She ended up loving it and said she cried a few times. I was happy Disney put the Elio segment before the start so it can hopefully get some conversion from Stitch viewers. I think Disney knows how to play the hits and that seems to work for people. This was a nice movie and I can see why it's on a path to make a billion dollars.
