Todd, I have a good idea how expensive it gets to play D&D. I buy quite a lot of books for my BIL as gifts. Each usually runs around $20 or so. I guess they are very serious about their playing though.

Tara, more  and good wishes for you. I wish there was something I could do to help you feel better.

Oh my, Suzanne. I have heard worse, but she's bad. Sounds like she is trying so hard to stylize that she forgets to try to sing in tune at times. I actually heard a note or two that were perfectly fine ;) I hate when people let go when they sing like that.
I am glad for your sake that you are off tomorrow as well. Though the 26th should be fun too ;)

Suzanne...that is bad and to think Todd was having difficulty 'tolerating' Neil Diamond yesterday:headache: Thank you bars must be named after the Thank you pie filling. You make a base, use 3/4 for the bottom, top is pie filling of your choice, then drop remaining mixture over the top and bake. They were okay.

Tara....sorry to hear the flu isn't taking it easy on you.

Went to church this morning, then out to eat with some of the individuals at Ponderosa...can't tell you last time I was there. After going I now know why..not all prices are listed, the lady taking the order was not helpful at all. I ended up going back up and getting $7 off my bill since she didn't inform me of better options or differences in prices, our hosts was nice enough to assist with this. I think the cashier was just interested in getting back to her cellphone and texting.

Going to my sister's tonight for a private exchange. I wish we wouldn't do this since I am very uncomfortable with her family right now, mostly her DH and her. Love their kids, but wish they would stop trying to control things by manipulating people. I will go there and act like I know nothing:rolleyes1 just so we can get it over with. Aren't holidays wonderful:sad2: I also have to hope she doesn't 'catch' me having a Christmas Eve lunch with my Dad tomorrow. She is so emotional lately and gets upset over the slightest things. Hopefully we will be finished eating before she shows;)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

hey gang,

looks like everyone is busy getting ready for Christmas!

Suzanne...I took your advice and tried eating...all I can say is that I ate! I just kept telling myself...Suzanne said eat...I know I'm starting to get dehydrated.

But on the upside...I did finally manage to take a shower...so you can take the clothespins off of your noses! I smell pretty again.

I haven't listened to the song...but not sure I want to. LOL!

Sorry for the family "fun". I send lots of good thoughts that all goes well Amanda. I haven't been to Ponderosa since the field trip from hell 4 years ago! I like Golden Corral...all buffet...easy for me to figure out.

How was Dom's visit with friends today? Did he perform well? hehehe

Suzanne....so what did you decide to do today? Did you all go and do something fun? I agree with waiting to see what Ed's mom and Jane do before calling them! Enjoy your Christmas day with your family!!!

Mom went to the grocery store so I plunked mutt and jeff down in front of The Polar Express with carrot sticks and cesar dressing. THey wanted candy but I made them have carrots first. They fell for it!

I'll talk to you all later!!
tara

Amanda I hope your exchange goes well tonight. I can understand about being around people you don't really get along with at all. Oh and I admit I have never heard of a Thank You pie either. I googled it though, and not sure I could imagine the ingredients together.

Tara, eating is VERY good for you! Listen to Suzanne ;) If anything be sure you drink water or gatorade. Sadly being sick for me is a good way to diet :rotfl: I joke saying that half the reason why I lost a lot of weight after having Dom was because I wasn't allowed to eat for 2-3 days. I do hope you feel much better soon!

Luis is up taking a nap. He isn't usually good at it, but I am hopeful that he does get better about it soon. Me, lay Dom, Lily or Gwen on my lap/chest and I am out like a light :p

Elaine...i was hoping to lose some weight but i weighed on Friday morning and I'm only down a pound! :( by my estimate it should be at least 5 or 6 by now! LOL!

Since I have to stay awake while mom is gone i've been working on my myspace. I'm trying to add pictures and music. I've managed to add one song but then the others disappear. Anyone know how to add a play list? I have several songs I want to include but can't figure out how to do it! I have an email in to a friend who has one but she's not on right now so I can't do it. I'm a bit impatient!

I think mom is moving into the grocery store in order to stay away from home for a while. Can't say as I blame her! hehehehe

okay back to my playing.
tara

Tara, thanks to the flu, I am now a Vitamin Water addict. I liked it before, but when I couldn't get any food in me, I started drinking them a couple three times a day.

Ended up vegging around the house until dinner time. We went to the Mellow Mushroom, looked at Christmas lights while listening to my iPod Christmas mix, then got ice cream and came home. Waiting for a snuggler to go to bed so that we can wrap presents.

Tomorrow I've got to get up early to make a supermarket run and get something to put under the tree for Ed. We got some wine a few weeks ago and I *thought* that was our gift to each other. I'm also getting tickets to Monster Truck Jam for him and Kevin (and it's HIS present), but he needs to have something to open. He had two presents wrapped and under the tree. I'm hoping one is a bluetooth for my phone.

Tara, I'm not sure about the playlist thing. I just have the myspace to keep up to date with the bands, lol.

Elaine, I think you've got the best loivies to snuggle with for a nap.

Amanda, I don't own the Neil Diamond, but 'hard to tolerate' would be the Carpenters for me. After three syrupy songs, I'm done, but Ed lurves that CD. I think he was bummed that not one song off of that made my iPod mix!! Good luck with the family stuff, I think I can relate!

Merry Christmas! I'll be around tomorrow.

Suzanne

Hi all...we survived the Christmas exchange with my sister.

Elaine...my sister and I get along. I just hate knowing she acts one way around me and is totally different other times. It is like an act with them, but I think it has gotten to the point that they don't know the truth any longer. Todd had a great time with my nephew. He really is an awesome kid...well adult now.

Suzanne...does the vitamin water have flavor? I prefer to drink regular water. Have fun at the store tomorrow. I am staying as far away from stores as possible.

Have a wonderful evening...

Amanda, the vitamin waters are flavored. I have a tendency to water down gatorade, juice and just about anything because I think they are too sweet. This tastes like I did my usual 50/50 treatment. Meanwhile, Ed hates the vitamin waters and loves Costco's version of the Sobe Life Waters. I think those are way too sweet.

I'm getting much better about drinking plain water, but sometimes I want some flavor.

Suzanne

Tara, that sucks... I mean if you aren't able to eat much, then you at least want some sort of bonus from it. Good luck with myspace. I am really bad about updating mine.

Suzanne, I admit I got into gatorade after being sick myself. I stopped drinking it when it had too much sodium for pregnant ladies though ;) Unfortunately vitamin water has artificial sweeteners. I love water but sometimes i would like flavor too.

Amanda, I can related to siblings being that way. All I'll say about that ;) I would love to avoid a store today as well but one of the presents for Gwen is missing. So now I have to go to the pet store and replace it. Hopefully it won't be too bad there.

I don't know how busy everyone will be so I'll say it now... I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Good Morning! Not fair I have to be at work :sad1: My own fault I guess, since I used all my vacation. Not looking like we are getting out of here early either.
Elaine - A thought, since Dom likes to sleep on ya'll maybe it is your heartbeats that sooth him. What about pillows that has the soothing sounds in it? Do they still make those ?
Amanda - Had a touch of family drama when I went to our family gathering this weekend. :rolleyes1 Always something. I didn't get half the baking I wanted to done but, I made eggnog cookies and pistachio swirl cake. I love to bake, bad thing is I  to eat it too.
Tara - hope you feel better soon. DS has had a headache, sore throat, stuffy nose. I'm thinking it is sinus issues since he doesn;t have a fever.
Suzanne - did you get your supermarket run in? I need to go by there real quick whenever I get out of work. Sure hope it's not too busy. LOL on you and Ed and the Christmas music mix. I've been enjoying my Chicago Christmas music and I also have one of those WOW Christmas mixes that I love.
Sherry R your boys driving you crazy to open presents? LOL Mine just called to ask if he could open a present. Crazy kid! I hid the "Santa" gifts so he doesn't even know about those.
Well, guess I will be checking in and out throughout the day but, just in case I want to wish EVERYONE a Very Merry Christmas. :santa:

 well it is official...i've screwed up Christmas. :( My brother and his family don't want to come over here with me sick and since I'm still feeling crummy...we have postponed chrismtas dinner until Saturday.

So I'll look at the bright side...Christmas will last a whole week!! hehehe

Sorry you have to work RM! That sucks!! HOpe DS is just having sinus issues and not coming down with any else.

Merry Christmas Eve folks!!

Have fun gang!!

tara

Darn Tara, I'm jealous! I was hoping DS had messed up Christmas being sick so we could just stay home and veg together instead of going to my ex's family's. Don't get me wrong it is really sweet that they consider me family still (they don't invite the ex, they are all mad at him) but, these people want to spend hours and hours together on Christmas eve and Christmas day. I had to put my foot day and tell them pick one or the other: eve or day I wasn't doing both.
Tara, I was j/k I'm really am sorry you messed up Christmas. (WAsn't kidding about my situation.LOL)
I'm still at work. I wanna go :sad1:

Been a crazy few days. Shopping went well. Now we have to wrap the gifts in a bit. Yesterday was church, and after church we had a potluck lunch. Then we had our friend's Christmas party last night. We had soo much fun. We did a white elephant gift exchange, sang Christmas carols, ate, chatted, then sang Air Karaoke that is on our Time Warner On Demand. That was such a blast. We sang till almost 2 in the morning. My throat hurt soooo bad. :teeth:

Tonight we go to my Mom's. We open the gifts from Mom & my brother (& some friends and my aunt) tonight. The boys can't wait. :teeth:

Rose Mary, my youngest is the one bugging me about opening gifts. In fact, he just mentioned a little bit ago that he can't wait to get to Grandma's and open gifts. :lmao: Bummer that you have to work.

Tara, so sorry you are still so sick. :(

 and mad  to everyone. Not sure if I'll get back on again, so I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

Hi all ....popping in with Christmas wishes.

I worked 11 hours yesterday - then went to the airport with my neighbor to pick up her son - their 2 boys live in Ft. Lauderdale together - youngest just moved there this summer with his girlfriend - that as already ended badly so they thought it might be a good idea to bring him home for Christmas.

Today is baking day for me - Jeffrey made us a yummy brunch - eggs - homefries - ham - etc. I've already baked peanut butter blossoms, almond bars, peanut butter fudge. I have ranch oyster crackers that just came out of the oven and next starting on cookie dough truffles.

I'm working tonite so I'll be around......

Sending lots of hugs and Christmas wishes !!

evening all....

okay...i've actually accompolished a few things...changed sheets on the kids' beds, gave Ethan an early scrub down (can we say toooooo much juice  ), cleaned up the kitchen, and fixed myself something to eat. I feel like all in all it was a productive day!

My poor mom is running around like crazy trying to find HER christmas present from the kids. LOL! I was supposed to do it on Friday. Unfortunatley we can't find any place that carries what she wants. So she is on a mission.

oh and can someone explain to me why a 7 year old would ask Santa for a whoopi cushion? Jarrod tells me yesterday that in Mrs. H's class they were writing letters to santa and he told him that's what he wanted. Of course I didn't find out about it until last night. So when mom was out today she had to find him one! LOL!

I have also been working on captioning my trip photos. So I will have that link out soon.

So what is everyone putting out for santa tonight? I suggested fudge and kaluha!! I think we'll end up with cookies and milk...but i'm thinking Santa needs something stronger by the time he gets here! heheh

okay, off to do something else productive!

tara

Howdy. I'm in the midst of dinner preparations. Homemade lasagna. I also am making the cookies for Santa. We had about half of the dough from the Koribiedes left. I doctored them with a lot more almond and vanilla extract, made a glaze and cut out using the cloves. They're yummy. Santa will get those and some OJ.

Still haven't heard from the In Laws. Ed is standing on priniciple on this one-he wants them to call us. Just in case, I've got plenty of food for them to join us tomorrow, though I doubt they will.

Elaine, the Sobe might have artificial, but the vitamin water has crystallized sucrose.

Tara, bummer about the delayed Christmas celebration. Might be better anyway, you don't have to worry about distracting the kids from their toys. :lmao:

Paula, sounds like a nice morning for you!

Sherry, good luck with wrapping. Did you see my wrapping demonstration elsewhere? :teeth: You should put the boys to work on it, or are then likely to spill the beans?

Rosemary, that's nice of the ex's family to include you. That's just TOO much time together, IMO! So sayeth the woman who moved far away from family because those twelve hours at Christmas were so annoying.

Back to another layer of Lasagna. Merry Christmas, all! Since we wrapped everything last night (except Ed's present), then tonight will be a nice relaxing night!

Suzanne

Evening all...

Just finished working on my Wednesday noon deadline items so I can enjoy tomorrow and Mandy's b-day.

Had a Christmas lunch with my Dad, that was nice. Then went to Todd's parent's...that was nice also. I don't think his mom was happy that everyone sat in the living room to eat, she sat in the kitchen. She also didn't care for us leaving before the other brother arrived, but it isn't our fault they had to go to an aunt's house. We both had to work.....;) See there is sometimes an up side to working on a pre-holiday.

Tara...sorry your Christmas has been extended, but I have to agree with Rosemary since I think it would be nice to just hang out at home with the kids...not running anywhere tomorrow. Enjoy the day. Look at is as a way to see what Christmas would be like without the hassles;) As for the whoopi cushion I think every little boy has to have one of those;)

Sherry...glad the holidays are going well for you.

Elaine...our cats used to get a gift or 2, but they aren't into much...so we stopped buying them.

I better get to bed. I have a couple casseroles to make tomorrow before going to my uncle's for my side of the family...also have to make peach cobbler for the first time. Hoping to find a good recipe using canned peaches, anyone got one?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas to all my Ya Ya Sisters and Brothers!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

(Sorry Suzanne, I know you hate the vibrating smiley -- but I was giving all of you some serious Christmas love!:rotfl: )
