Rosemary--meetings? :scared1: I don't know how some people can be constantly going to them...I am lucky to go to 1 every other month...I always feel like i am going to zzzzzzzzzzzz...:surfweb:
Sloppy Joes are one of my favorite & great for leftovers..:thumbsup2

Jonathan & Jordan get out of school at 11:17 today. They have exams today and tomorrow, so get out early both days.
Well now, I would have expected 11:19 but some schools do things differently. :rotfl:
I hope they do well on their exams ::yes::

Todd - I'm not gonna give you the hug smilie because..well, I'm a guy, and it would only hurt your back anyway, so I'll just say I really hope you feel better soon!

Hmmm...Lainey mentioned the weather. It is supposed to be raining here today and because they've closed one of the parking lots, I had to park a further distance.

Bringing a jacket, hat, or umbrella might have been a good idea :scratchin

Hope everyone has a good day!

Todd, for me labor was nothing compared to the back issues I had. I think back pain is about the worst thing in the world I have ever experienced. I wound up with 10 weeks of PT to get mine straightened out.

Rose Mary, our meetings were usually very interesting. Of course we usually took that time to bash the upper management ;) If we had the upper management running the meetings though, they were usually very boring for us with lots of eye rolling. Then we'd have our own meeting to discuss why the uppers were smoking crack for saying all they did :p

Alan, that is what they have weather forecasts for... so you can plan like that ;)

Went to Target and of course they didn't have what I wanted. I did pick up a red light bulb for Dom's room, and the moment I turned it on, it burnt out  Not sure what I am going to do now (I'd rather remove the blanket from the lamp to difuse the light)

Alan - Weren't you a boy scout???? Be prepared and all that! :duck:
Todd - who is probably back in bed now since UPS should have come and gone by now - We have meetings to decide what to have meetings about here. Then they wonder why you can't get done what the meetings planned for you to get done. :headache:

Todd, sorry about your back. Hope the chiro can help ya out.

Elaine, hope the weather cooperates for you. Its supposed to be 50 here, but a chance of rain this afternoon.

Alan, :lmao: I thought the 11:17 thing was weird, too, but that is the time the period ends, so that's when they get out. :teeth:

Rose Mary, we probably would have around 40, maybe 50 at the most.

Amanda, your not that far. Feel free to come help. ;)

I think I'll get a veggie tray, and maybe see if I can find a good fruit tray, as well. Jordan would prefer Pernil & rice, over the sloppy joes, but that would be too much work and then have to transport and keep warm, yada, yada, yada. :rolleyes1 :teeth:

Todd - gentle  for the back problems! DH and DS both have to go to the chiropractor for treatments at least once a year.
Amanda - you are like the Energizer Bunny - you keep going and going! :rotfl:

Sherry - are these mid-terms at your boys' school? We never had early release for that!

Elaine - hope the meds work for Dom and the two of you get to run errands!:woohoo:

RM - are you feeling any better? I hate meetings -- that's one reason why I moved my office to my home - well, that and the fact that I can tell everyone to go ----- and do pretty much what I want!:lmao:

Alan - I would suggest a rubber raft, hip wader boots, and a snorkel set!:thumbsup2

I was thinking of you last night when I took Gunny out for a bathroom break at 10:12 pm. I was gazing up at the sky and the stars were out in full force. I never really thought about my beautiful view at night, until you mentioned a couple of months ago that you don't get a chance to see the stars very often where you live. Thanks, Alan -- because of your comment, I now take the time to pause and look at the sky and the trees.:)

Good morning all - still adjusting to my work schedule but really like being in the office- dressing up in "big girl clothes again " etc.I attended a managers meeting yesterday and got all positive feedback on my being in the office - felt good. Also found out that they are hainv ing problems with the shared servers - so maybe my e-mails woes weren't just me.

Part of adjusting to work days is knowing how much I need to get done on my days off - today I have to finish taking down my Christmas stuff - I had left my Nativity, Snowbabies and Smowmen out and what I removed is just in a pile in the basement - seriously packing them away today. Laundry to do of course and some errands - need to pick up a birthday gift - we have a surprise 50th birthday party to attend on Saturday - I don't really care for useless gag gifts so this will require some thought. **** Which leads me to mention that Jeffrey is less than pleased that we will be at a b-day party during the football game - he's not getting out of this one!! Also ned to go do my passport application today - can't believe the cruise is a little over 3 months away!!

Sherry - the b-day party menu sounds yummy - I agree with the fruit - seems like I can never have enough of that at a party.

Todd - take care of that back!!

Amanda - ?? Grocery shopping for work??

Pam - why do I think that you and I would have fun working together??? :dance3: BTW - loved - loved - loved the card you sent!!

Elaine - hope today is a good day for you!

Rosemary - side note about football - DH Jeffrey works at a shooting club on Sundays - 2 weekends ago he came home excited like a little kid - he had a conference call with 2 of the New England Patriots that called to schedule a hunt - he was sooooo excited!!

Alan - if you see animals lined up 2x2 in the parking lot I'd start to worry!!

Tara - I'm in agreement with the gang - if the company is a bust on Sunday at least there is cheesecake!! I'm a bit partial to land suryeyors though - since that's what my Chris does for work!!

Suzanne - I know you are out there - I hope you are enjoying your day off!

Kimmar - Kirsty - hello to all!!

:car:

I might be able to ketchup but I can at least zoom through the neighborhood :teeth:

:car:

Wow! mothy group today!!!

Let's see...
Doesn't Alan always need to carry his hip waders?? oh wait..that's for those of us around him! Gotcha! :thumbsup2

So I guess I won't be doing a full nelson on Todd today! That's okay I'll find someone else to do it to!! hehehe

Elaine...I always had a blue bulb in Jar and E's rooms as night lights. They never got their days and nights confused and I'm positive (to me anyway) it was because I didn't turn on any lights and let them think it was time to play during the night time feedings...not to mention I was never fully away when I fed and changed them so I didn't do all those songs and crap that most moms do! :lmao: But it does explain why I got peed on so often at night!! :rotfl:

Paula...glad the new job situation is working out for you. My bff says that at least I'll get a free meal out of the deal!! hehehe

Which brings me to needing help from my yayasWhat should I order when i'm there so as not to look like a pig or look like i'm trying not to eat anything? There plates are soooo big. Do I order a salad and make him think that i DON'T eat or do I order an appetizer so it's not too big or do I just order the biggest thing on the menu...eat it all and see if he calls again? :lmao: This will be my first date in over 8 years! I need help my friends!! At least I'm not wearing mom jeans! hehehe

back to ketchup:
Sherry...sounds like a nice birthday party. I never had a big party and neither did my friends. My kids have had more big parties than I ever did growing up! You are one brave soul for that many kids!!

RM...so you have meetings to decide if you are going to have meetings? So when you have the meetings that you've decided to have do they develop what you plan to do when you actually have a real meeting? Our new principal believes that we should meet with our curriculum area (mine are English and Science) twice a week. hell, we can't get through one lesson in a week and we need to plan for it twice? its crazy!

Amanda...while you are there I need dayquil, rabbit food, kleenex, and coke. Thanks!! Glad you got out of the meetings!

I didn't have tutoring last night. When I posted I had a headache but I was hoping it would go away. By 330 my head hurt so bad I thought i was going to return my lunch. So I asked my kids if they would stay on thursday instead. They all agreed so i went home, slept for an hour and a half, ate, gave the kids showers, put them to bed and then I sat at the computer staring at it until 10 when I finally went to bed. When I woke up yesterday afternoon it had gone from a whole headache to a left sided eye to the neck headache. That's what still there today.

But yesterday I inadvertantly messed up my assisstant! hehehe I was telling her about our plans to go to the melting pot for my birthday. I invited her but she has never been and didn't know what it was. So I was telling her all about it. She said it sounded good and like something she and her daughter would enjoy. So last night she and her daughter went to the Melting Pot for dinner and she wound up not getting any rest. (background...she found out in October that her heart is only working at 15% capacity even with meds so she tires really easily and needs to sleep as soon as she gets home from work so she can work the next day) So she couldn't even get out of bed this morning. But she loved it and she might go with us for my birthday. So that will be good!

anyway, i think i've rambled enough and I have email I need to tend to. So I'll be back later!
tara

Rose Mary, I wish that boyscouts would make men more prepared, but Luis is notorious for forgetting important things... and he was an eagle scout :p

Sherry, what kind of party are you planning anyway? I totally forgot to ask that earlier. We never had a lot of parties for us as kids, so I love hearing what others do for their own.

Paula, I admit it is a huge change to go from working at home to outside and vice versa. I didn't realize how much I didn't get done at home until I quit. Of course now I get nothing done at all :rotfl:
Will he be able to catch any of the game at all at teh party? :teeth:

Howdy Kristy!

Tara, I would honestly just order whatever you like at CF. I am always for being yourself. I personally love the orange chicken and get the lunch portion when we go for lunch. It's a good size for me. Dang... I sure wish we had one closer so I could order that as carry out!

Tara...order what you want, that way if the date goes sour you can at least take what you don't eat home with you;) Gotta make sure it isn't a waste of your time.

Paula...I work for a major corporation. My job is to know the products in personal cleansing, facial care, hand and body lotion and deodorants. We were meeting with a supplier of our's to better understand what they do for us in the store. So no shopping, unfortunately:( I definitely would have liked to at least pick up the sale items;)

Elaine...I have to say back labor was pretty painful for me, that was with Mandy. 'Regular' labor I can take no problem, that was with Cassie. I just feel at a lose since I can't help Todd. I may stop by the store tonight and get a heating pad for him or see if I can get the massage chair thingy my Mom used from my Dad's house.

RM...I think that is how my meeting on Monday was. The only thing we could decide was that we needed more meetings.:rolleyes1

Kristy...hope you get to stay a while the next time.

Pam...I think the bunny is about ran out.

Am I the only one who didn't know what pernil and rice was? :confused3
I googled it, sounds yummy but, yeah like alot of work. that sure is alot
of people :scared:
Tara - I'm w/Elaine, be yourself (well, maybe not quite :duck: unless you decide you want to :scared: him off) j/k. anyway, even the apps at CF are kinda huge so I say just go for what you're hungry for and take some home if you don't finish. I recommend the Pasta Da Vinci or Chicken Piccata. YUM!
Crud, gotta go.........................later

Alan, that is what they have weather forecasts for... so you can plan like that ;)
Oh, I knew what the weather was going to be; I just forgot it at home. :rotfl:
But it's not difficult to stay at work during lunch and then move the van to a closer spot when people go out. :rolleyes1

Doesn't Alan always need to carry his hip waders?? oh wait..that's for those of us around him! Gotcha! :thumbsup2
Sadly, I had quoted Pam to make the same joke. How bad is that?

I'm glad you are having a positive work experience, Paula.

And I'm happy that I helped inspire you to stop and appreciate the stars, Pam. Now stop and smell the roses (okay, I don't do that one myself)

That's scary for your assistant, Tara!

Zoom zoom, Kristy

 Rose Mary, Amanda, Sherry

Sorry I beat you to your joke Alan! :rotfl:

Okay...so I should order as I normally would and see what happens. I like the sound of the orange chicken. I got some of that from a chinese restaurant the other day and it wasn't any good. We will be there at lunch time so hopefully on sunday's they have their lunch menu!

We had to send one of our autistic kids home today. Her grandfather died yesterday and she wanted to come to school today but she is having some issues with swearing. After the third time she hollered "J@#$% @#$%ing C@#$%^" I called home and asked them what they wanted to do with her and they decided it was best to take her home. We didn't want her to get into trouble for the swearing! Oh and swearing is one of her "things" :lmao:

So life is never dull around here!

Going out to dinner tonight and then Walmart since Amanda wouldn't pick my stuff up for me either!! hehehe And Jar is spending the night with Jay so I don't have to get up so early in the am!! woohoo!

I'll "see" ya'll later!

tara

Elaine, the party is for Jordan's Sweet 16.

Tara, not all of the 40 will be kids. Most of it is family and friends, along with some friends of Jordan's. :) And I agree, order as normal. And I second the Orange Chicken. Its delish!

Rose Mary, Pernil is delicious, but too much work. I would rather take the easy way out. ;) :teeth:

Hi Kristy!

Paula, glad your adjusting to working at the office. I'm sure the game will be on at the party, so maybe DH will get to see at least some of it. :teeth:

Pam, yes, they are mid-terms. Everyone gets to go home when they are done.

Alan, I would def. go out and move the van closer. :teeth:

Amanda, bummer about no shopping.
