Good monring, good morning! Good to see everyone has had and is having a fun holiday, despite the ickies and sickies.
Ours was very quiet after doing all three church services Christmas Eve. I think I finally got out of my jammies around 3 after I put the turkey in the oven! No presents under the tree for us this year--we bought another 160 DVC points instead! They offered such good incentives while we were on the cruise that we couldn't pass it up. But then we had to wait until we were reasonably sure Dave would be employed come the new year before we could sign the papers. We still don't have it in writing, but no matter who ends up winning the contract, the bosses are saying they want to keep Dave on the job. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it ends up that way!
Work has been extremely busy for me, trying to get all the business clients to get their records in to us to get the bookkeeping up to date so the boss can figure their annual bonuses. Wish I could get in on some of those, that's for sure. One of the doctors we did yesterday is getting a $600,000 bonus

(It's cheaper to pay the tax on his personal return than to leave the profit in the company and have it taxed at the corporate rates.) Oh well, I guess getting both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve off with pay can be considered a bonus. I'll take it, anyway
Yeah, I think PS I Love You looks good, too. I'm thinking I'd like Water Horse and The Golden Compass, too. Nat'l Treasure: Book of Secrets (Nicholas Cage!!!), Charlie Wilson's War, and Alvin and the Chipmunks are maybes. I must say, though, I absolutely LOVED Enchanted, which we saw a few weeks back.
Elaine, don't feel bad, most new moms go thru exactly what you are going thru with the anxiety and all. This is the first time I've ever heard of a doc giving any kind of medication for it, though. I'm thinking the number of new mothers who have hurt their babies has finally sounded a wake up call to the medical community that while post-partum depression and anxiety may be a normal after-effect, it isn't so easy to just "wait it out" like I was told.
I was also told it takes about 3 months before a baby can go 8 hours between feedings and so be able to sleep thru the night. I've always felt lucky that both of mine did it at 10 weeks! So sorry Dom's having such trouble with his tummy. Hope the new eating position and burping manner help. My philosophy is every baby is different, so whatever works for yours, DO IT! And despite what "they" all say, if he's happier sleeping on his tummy, let him. Truthfully, it seems to me it would be far easier for a baby to spit up and choke when lying on his back, than on his tummy, anyway. I could never get it right, trying to prop mine on their sides--they always managed to roll over onto their backs.
Laundry and other domestic responsibilities are screaming for my attention, so I'd best hang it up here. Ya'll enjoy the rest of your holidays, stretch them out as far as possible, I say!!
PS I discovered a WONDERFUL recipe for Gluhwein--even better than what they serve at Germany/Epcot!! Works better than a sleeping pill, too!!
