Beth sneated!

Glad to hear it gets a bit easier. You and Amanda are both right, God will protect my babies. :) And I've sent up a bunch of prayers already. :) ::yes::

Morning Ya Yas!

It's a beautiful day and I am indoors. Sigh.

Sherry, it is a Mom's privilege and duty to worry about their babies. My sons get told that often. I also say it's my job and I do it well! Prayers that you get to relax some today and that they have a spectacular fun day!

Suzanne, so good to hear that the meds seem to be working. Life is a bit easier for sure.

Beth, hope your day is smooth and not as rushed as your morning. Good you got that needed sleep.

Amanda, oh I hope you can find a way to tune out that grating noise. Turn on the radio!

Kimmar, Oh nice job there! Your DSis will be so pleased! :rotfl:

Have fun today everyone, Hi to all who have not been posting for a while.

Good morning gang,

sorry I wimped out yesterday...I had a headache most of the day and by the time I picked Jar up I was worn out!! So I brought him home, turned them both over to mom, and I went nighty night!!

He did better last night...however, I came in to find him sitting in the hall outside the sanctuary (narthex?) sitting under a table coloring on donation forms :confused3 I was fine with that (remember he is my kid that in social situations feels it is better to be under the table than over the table looking at people :rotfl: ) He wants to do it again tonight. His Aunt Beth will be there as Queen Esther so he is looking forward to that. Thanks for all the asking and good thoughts! He really wants to go to the Pool Party on Saturday night. I'm not jazzed about that (sitting aroudn with people I don't know) but I can do it for him!

Oh and we found out what the "non-medical" means for SS...it means getting the junk together so they can send you the money. It's all the paperwork and such. I'm not sure we are going to get it in time for me pay off my bills so we can go to Disney tho. It will probably arrive on Sept. 12 and final payment is due on Sept. 11. But we are hoping. My brother thinks it is terrible that I want to pay off bills so I can afford to go to WDW...but hey this money will be recovering what I would have been saving if I hadn't been paying all the extra bills. I'm sure we will come to blows over this in the next couple of months...but meh who cares!!

Ketchup...

Sherry...I'm nervous when Jar goes to Busch Gardens with his own father and DOESN'T ride anything. So I understand your fear!! Enjoy your mommy free day!

Lily...oh that sounds pretty cool. I was wondering why a wedding on Sunday but orthodox makes sense because don't they celebrate on Saturday? glad you got a nice walk in this weekend too!!

Elaine...how's the knitting going? I went to VBS when I was a kid but it was during the day and my grandparents had to haul us around because mom had to work. I know we would not have been able to go if G'ma hadn't been around. I don't see many adults volunteering at the VBS but there are a bunch of kids!!

VBS theme this year is "Going Places" so the first night was Mexico and last night was Brazil. I have no idea where they are going tonight.

Amanda...I can only take so much of that before my head spins like the exorcist and I suddenly yell "WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP THAT" and as for insane...I love the Jimmy Buffett line says, "if we weren't all crazy, we'd probably go insane".

Suzanne...glad you got to SW sorry for the rain. I like that "poncho dementors"...good name! Glad your new meds are working and that Neil is showing some wonderful signs of improvement!!

Beth...I used to love doing the part of inventory the lowely cms were allowed to do....we'd sit back stage reading off numbers, writing numbers, and counting and in the middle of all of it we would stop...tell some off color jokes and as soon as the boss walked back in we would be right back to counting! :rotfl: The only things I bought the otherday was one die cut for my QuicKutz and one piece of ribbon...then they charged me $2.50 for my crop. So I thought I did darn good for being there over 12 hours...not even a dollar an hour!! woohoo!! Although it did cost me another $6.93 when I had to walk across the street to Walmart and buy a bottle of motrin because my I smacked my cut finger into the table and I was getting a headache.

Paula...dang! :badpc: I missed the memo that said you weren't supposed to injury yourself during the summer. Man I really got to learn to read better!! (I guess I won't tell you that after reading that I went up to vaccum the cabinets I had just sanded and slammed my thumb into one of the bars between the drawers and took off a layer of skin  guess I don't mind too well either) glad Chris got a car, but sorry he can't drive it.

Kimmar....oh you must be fun to follow in the grocery store with your "slop-mop" trailing behind you! :lmao: oh and I think you missed a spot on the tree with your tp! Now what are you going to do if it rains before she gets home? You're going to have to redo it. You are supposed to wait and do it they day they return so that it will last longer!

Okay, gotta go see if E is a wake yet. I AM going to finish the cabinets today! Need to paint and re-install. It will be done today I tell you!!

more later!

...now THAT's gotta be worse than my 'slop-mop'..... :confused3

Paula  Oh my. Hope things improve...and Quickly!

Tara, sorry about DB there. Maybe a miracle will happen and he will understand what it is you've been doing all this time that he hasn't apparently been there to figure out. Ok so the cabinets are going to be done! Yippee!

Kimmar, wet TP - Paper mache! Hey wat didja do with the TP rolls? :confused3

Went and got my nails done this morning, then Junior and I tried a new Mexican place for lunch. We stopped at Best Buy afterwards, just to look around, and I did stop at Sears to see if they had any good clearance stuff.

Think I might head out to the mall just to hang out. :)

Going to the 7:20 showing of Devil Wears Prada. Elaine, I got a good review from my manicurist, too. :)

Paula, to you.

Tara, hope you don't have to hassle with DB. Glad Jarrod wants to go back to VBS. LOL @ being nervous about Jar with his dad at BG. I feel a bit better now. :teeth:

Kimmar, TP'ing is so much fun. ::yes:: I used to TP almost every Friday night of football season during my senior year.

Well, the cabinets that I have been working on are almost done. One more coat on the doors and drawers and these will be done. Then on saturday i'll start on the other side of the kitchen. We have lots of cabinets and we still runeth over!!

Thanks for the good thoughts on DB. He really is a good person but on this he has no clue. MEN!

Sherry...sounds like a good day already! yumm! mexcican sounds good!

Lily...where's the count down thingy for your retirement??

Paula...sorry about the mood. been there done that, got the holes in the walls :teeth:

On my desktop at work!
310 days--Time until Lil retires June 1, 2007. That is if I don't get cold feet by then. It still overwhelms me to think it could be this close!

Sherry, what a fantastic day you are having today. I hope it continues for ya.

Okay I didn't read anything yet today, and for that, I apologize

I'll ketchup. I just had a great lunch with a friend on the Angel thread. Stayed a lot longer than I thought so managed do squeak in before the traffic rush from downtown.

Just had to say hi... I'll be back later tonight to really see what I missed :wave2:

Back from the mall. Lordy, I should've stayed home!! I bought the boys a bunch of shirts/polos from the clearance rack. Saved a lot, but spent more than I had planned. I planned to only window shop. :lmao:

Lily, yay for the countdown!!

Tara, :lmao: I am still a sweet little girl. princess: :rotfl: Speaking of TP, we got TP'ed about a month ago. We think its the little girls around the corner who have had crushes on 2 of my boys. :lmao:

Elaine, glad you had a nice lunch and chat. :)

Here's what some of James' friends did to our house after graduation:

It was kinda pretty. Until it rained. Ick.

Evening, all.

Gee, mothy bunch today!

Lily, woohoo on a countdown at the desk! :cool1:

Sherry, enjoy the movie and the kid free day.

Tara, at least Jar's aunt will be there tonight.

Bethie-we did two orders of the cobbler-yum! Then today, I got confirmation that Ed gets the monthly meals, too. I have a feeling that we'll be getting more, lol. Dinner tonight is the pretzel crusted chicken, but I made them into nuggets.

John, I'd imagine the clean up for that TP would not be fun.

Paula, sounds like you need a lovely beverage and a good book to make the evening better.

Lainey, how was Graeters?

Kimmar, :rotfl: Although the comment reminded me of the days when TP did come in colors to coordinate with the bathroom!

ugh, the kids are watching Power Rangers, man the show is cheezy!

Back after dinner.

Is that what plugged up the drain way back when Sue had to clear it out? ;)

LOL, Kimmar that scene where you see Jack kissing a lady apparently made a friend of mine's daughter go "Ewwwwww"

Suzanne, that is awesome that Neil was able to handle that line so well! Does that mean you won't be able to get those passes at WDW now though? ;) Seriously that is awesome!!!

Sherry, how did it go today for the boys? I hope all went well. I said a little prayer that all was okay. You have me wondering too, if my mom ever freaked out about us running around KI & CP like that! Or imagine running around Wash DC when we were 13!!! I swear, my hat goes off to parents with things like that!
Oh how did you like the movie?

Amanda, you are so no offensive with that. It is one of those sounds I don't care for either. I used to have to wear headphones at work since constant typing (or the loud keyboards) was too much for me. The thing that bugs me more are the people who snap gum. That drove me bats! Good luck with the training.

Bethie, glad you were able to catch up on some sleep today! Oh and the tapping on the touch screens at stores... oh ICK!!!!!! I hate that at WDW when you order counter service.

Tara, glad that Jarrod is doing okay at VBS and wants to go back!!! Oh knitting? I'm not doing it much lately. Just been out and about too much lately to get anything done. I didn't even get much done on my trip to my grandma's when my dad was driving. Oh well... I"m sure come fall/winter I'll get more done.
Good luck with the medical payments though. I really do hope you get to go to Disney ::yes:: Hang it all when it comes to your brother though... I think disney is necessary and very theraputic!

Paula, I hope your day tomorrow is better. That type of tide isn't a fun one

Though it does remind me of Alan and his silly Crimson Tide football (or pathetic excuse for one) team!

Lily, good for you having that contdown!!!! It will be here before you know it and trust me, you won't chicken out! You'll be scared but relieved all at once!
You just need to plan a trip to WDW or somewhere like that to celebrate!

Graeter's was great :p Here's a pic of Kelly and I from today :)

no more talk of ice cream or I'm gonna have to go buy some!!!

Glad everyone is having a good day!

I always say ewwww when I see boys kissing girls too :teeth:

Nice house John. I like the deocrating of the front yard!! Very pretty!! I like that you have Saturns in your drive way too!!

Elaine...what is the screen name for Kelly so I can put the face with a name? And hang him too!!

Suzanne...nice that Ed gets meals too! Now you never have to cook!! woohoo!!

Mama brag....I dropped Jar off at the church and one of the leaders was asking me about him and if he was enjoying it because he wasn't engaged in the activities. So I explained him a little better. But while we were talking she said that she was very impressed with his thoughts and his ideas. Apparently while not engaged in the activities he is giving his thoughts and expressing them quite clearly. She said that he really shows an extremely sharp sense of what is going on. I told her that he does have a very large vocabulary and his counselor is impressed with the way he talks about things. She agreed and said he appears to be very smart. And I have to say I watch people very closely to see if maybe they are blowing smoke before I will believe that they mean something like this and watching her it was pure genuine and she does really appear to think he is smart! So while he is pure pain in the butt lots of times other people like him!!!

off to watch a little tv before I head out to pick him up!
