just came to grumble for a bit and then I'm back to work...I slammed my left foot into the dryer this morning and I think i broke a toe. ouch! It is swollen and hurts like heck.

anyway...good news is mom got a letter saying that she does qualify for SS medically but they haven't determined about if she is non-medically eligible not sure what that means but hey we can hope it means she qualifies for the whole amount of disability and not just something like $5 a month.

gotta run and do something productive!!

bleep bleep bleep and bleep!!!!! apparently some of the drawers needed to be sanded fyrther and when i primed them the varnish came thru so now tomorrow i have to resand about a third of them and start over

i guess i'm going to bed now!!!!

Howdy, all. I won't wake anyone up today-I know how good it feels to sleep in on a Sunday morning!

Today's Sea World, which was requested by the birthday boy. Can't stay too late, as Ed's got a 3am work start tomorrow. Need to call the inlaws-I'd invited them along and SIL called me yesterday while I was at work wanting to knwo what time.

We were at Lowes the other day to get dremel parts and we found a line of paints that look great-Seaside Images or something like that-I think we'll take the color chips and match it into our favorite brand, lol.

Tara, your travails sound like something that would happen to me! Hope the resanding goes quickly. How's that finger healing?

Bethie, hoping the inventory goes quickly. Lots of little things to inventory usually means a long night. Do you have a service come in?

Amanda, prayers for the nieces and nephews. I know what you mean about escaping family issues, only to see it in the next generation. It's sad.

Injury report: Toe is still swollen and is a lovely shade of purple/pink with a huge knot and finger is healing nicely and is beginning to itch where it is healing so i guess it will survive!

Suzanne...great ketchup mind if I steal it?? Have fun at Sea World Today!! I like Sea World!!

Elaine...have fun while you are out today. yeah..boo hiss on my cabinets but hey...I bought lots of sand paper and will strive to finish it today! (yeah right!)

Sherry...sorry you didn't score as high as you would have liked at bowling but at least you had fun!! that is the best part. Wow! A day to yourself next week!! Enjoy!

hey gang,

just got back from getting Jarrod from VBS. He went with his best buddy to his church and I thought it would be good for Jar. I got there and after two hours the kid looked like he had been subjected to water torture for 3 days! His anxiety kicked in and he was a basket case. I'm going to make him go tomorrow so he can try it again but if he is this upset again tomorrow night then I will not send him back. We are going to counseling tomorrow so I wil ask the shrink what suggestions he can give for me to help him.

still sanding and the now the part that I sanded REALLY good is turning yellow with the primer. So I have to go to home depot tomorrow and ask them about it and see if they have any ideas on how to make it not turn yellow.

Good morning all....

Uneventful weekend here.....well except for a surreal experience Friday night.....

WEnt to dinner with hubby at a local bar/restaurant.....we always walk in on the bar side to see if there is anyone there that we know....it's very crowded and we are greeted by one of Alyssa's friends mom's = she asked "Hey did you guys come for the class of "77 party" - I start to say no....turn to my left and am face to face with my high school boyfriend....!!!!!! Who by the way I broke up with to date my now-husband and I don't think I have seen him in about 27 years!!!!! OK fortunately - I didn't look like I just crawled out from under a rock.... We talked for a while - he told me that he is now a Captain in the Navy and comes back every few years to catch up with his classmates (I was a class ahead of him by the way) - says he always wondered if he would see me. He said that he holds great memories of our high school years and said his wife would be so mad that she was not there to meet me. It was really really nice - sweet actually!!!! I came away with a really good feeling - really glad that I saw him and also knowing that I "chose the right path" so many years ago.

Not much else happened this weekend - Alyssa had an emergency doctors appt on Friday - she had contracted what we thought to eb a really bad case of acne - on her back and chest - come to find out it's a bacterial infection and the doctor put her on an antibiotic.
Chris paid for his car and now it sits in the driveway.
I watched Brokeback Mountain and POC on Saturday.
Worked 12-6 yesterday.

Got an e-mail from my cousin who says that my dad is well and having a great time. OK actually he told her to tell me that he is bored and that they are not feeding him - he is such a kidder!!

Elaine - I'm so glad that your dad's birthday celebration went well - what ws the gift??

Tara....didn't you get the memo?...the point of summer not to see how many times you can injure yourself!!! I hope Jar does better with VBS today.

Suzanne - birthday celebrations at Sea World!! Sounds fun!!
