Good afternoon, Ya Ya family! Managed to get a few minutes to pop in while the boss is out to lunch. I overheard him telling someone yesterday that we are in our busy season now. If this is our busy season, what the HECK do you call what we've been going thru all summer??!!! Sheesh!!!
Nancy, glad you are able to spend the day with your "baby" girl, but so sorry that you had to postpone your trip. Have a wonderful Mother/Daughter Day!!!
Tara, don't know why I never thought of giving a fake name when "meeting" guys online! Of course, if I had, I might never have found my Prince Charming!!! Can't imagine Dave being interested in a Helga!! Sounds like your little Tasmanian Devil was right full of himself last night! Blowing raspberries is always such fun for them and the mental picture you painted had me giggling, too!
Great big

for you, Elaine. Hope Cleo's test results are non-threatening and you all aren't facing something terminal. Poor kitty, hope she feels better real soon! Sending that
out with a liberal dose for yas.
Aww, Suzanne, you are so right about how fast work goes when I'm doing something I love! I'm putting together some spare die-cuts/punch-outs that I have to send you. Just can't find your address at the moment..........Prayers and a TON of PD going out for your mom, especially with today's test. Hope all goes smoothly and she is feeling better real, real soon!
Pamma-lamma-ding-dong!!! Good to see you drop in again!! Sure miss you and your wonderful sense of humor around here!! And I must agree, if you'd visit with your sistahs and bothers a little more often, that post count would be well on its way to 6k by now!! I remember the last time ya'll lost your counts--Dave & I were still pretty new to the boards and didn't understand what the big deal was.
Paula, we were definitely on the same wave length last night! I had ice cream for dinner, too--only mine was a milk shake. Hope that soreness works itself out quickly and you are back to 100% very, very soon! I know Pam asked you about a Cyber School for Chris. Is there any sort of alternative school in your area that he could attend? My bi-polar ADHD son turned to drinking, smoking pot and cutting school when he was 15--hated school, wouldn't/couldn't produce and was flunking out despite being labeled "gifted". After rehab, we were able to get him into an alternative school in our district. There were only 10 kids in his class with 2 teachers! The kids were different grade levels, so most of the "classes" were even smaller, but a lot of the curriculum was geared toward preparing the kids to function on their own in society--getting a job, finding a place to live, buying groceries, balancing a checkbook, etc. They did a lot of work in current events, historical comparisons, investing in the stock market, reading for pleasure, public speaking, and even cooking! There was also the opportunity to participate in vocational education. It was absolutely the best thing for my kid because he could see a need in his own life for the things he was being taught. He ended up graduating at the head of his class and just last week he called me to let me know he had finally started his own business, with a business license, a trade name and customers and everything!! So don't despair over Chris and maybe you can find something similar for him to get into there.
Alan, you are incorrigible, ya know! But I s'pose you'll take that as a compliment

Prayers and PD going out for Mrs. AA, too! I get tonsilitis now and then, too, and it's no fun! don't understand how I can get it, though, since I had my tonsils out when I was 4.
Karen, I know these next 2 weeks are going to drag horribly for you!
So happy that you are getting to go to the birthplace of all the magic and I couldn't agree more on the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour! We absolutely LOVED it!!
Well, best get back to work--lunch hour is about up.
