Hi y'all! On a "new" keyboard. Actually I bought this one back in 1996 when the whole ergonomic keyboards were new... I tried to fix my other one but it is toast. I might go and replace it since I liked it a lot!

Tara, that sounds like you all had one heck of a night! I am glad that the bloody nose didn't seem to stop him. And that is very funny about your step sister. Amazing how parents can be ;)

Suzanne, glad to hear that the place seems very particular about the type they would allow there! That would make me feel oh so much better as well. You have me dying to see that stunt show at MGM. I really was upset when I couldn't allow for enough time to see it. Hopefully they'll have more than just an afternoon show so I can more easily get to it.
And I do hope your wonderful son becomes rich and famous! Would be nice to mooch off of someone else.

Sherry, I am glad you had a small break. Great start to the game, eh? That should've been holding, but oh well... good luck with the dryer though. Do you have some old thing you could test run with?

Howdy Stacey, what an adorable bear!

Nancy, I cannot wait to see pics of y'all in the costume... you are going to take some and share, right? :teeth:

Paula, I really do hope that the weekend with Ryan will do Alyssa good. Sometimes visits like that really do help :) And if you want a kitten, do what my mom did. Just bring one home.
Actually that's how we got Cleo. She is really *my* baby. She loves to cuddle and watch TV with Luis now though. But I went to a pet store owned by our neighbor. There was this adorable kitten who reached out to my finger with her paw and licked it. I was 16 and I pleaded with my mom to bring her home... my dad was in Korea. So we brought her home, and my dad had no say :p

She seems okay. A bit sluggish, but she was playing with string with me, begging for food and being a brat and a half. If this keeps up, I will feel ever so blessed that it was only a gall bladder attack or blockage of some sort. Honestly with the survival rate of surgery, we would've had to think long and hard depending on everything. So I'm praying still she'll keep on perking up. But there has been an amazing change in her since earlier this week.

Well I need to get ready for our block party. Luis lost the paper that had the time on it, so we just keep peering out our door to see if it has started or not :p Once we see it in gear, I'll heat up our mac & cheese to bring along with the cookies :)

Just popping in to say Happy Saturday, everyone!

Still busy busy busy. I'm going to be working an 8 or 10 hour day tomorrow. Doing lots of OT in the coming weeks.

I like the money. I like the money. That is my mantra.

Sherry - try some Zout on the ink stain. DD once left a red lipstick in her pocket and ruined all of our Disney Cruise t-shirts, etc. Zout got everything out!

Paula - it's funny when our boys sit down and talk to us about cars, isn't it? :) I don't know what the heck he's interested buy I feign intelligence and bounce up and down in my seat in excitement! :rotfl:

Cyber school is internet schooling that the student does in his own home. They have teachers, etc. that work with them, only online. It's becoming more and more popular around here. I personally know about 5 kids who are doing this.

Glad Alyssa made it to the BF's safely!

How many days left until your trip?? ;)

Elaine - glad Cleo is feeling better! :goodvibes

JRKaren - I forgot to say that I hope Scotty is back to work soon! :guilty:

DH is on his way home from NJ after 4 days out on the road.

DS has an OA training/camping thing that started last night and ends tomorrow.

DD came home but has either been at her BF's or a friend's... We did go to the pet store today. At first she wanted these little dwarf frogs, but then she fell in love with the hamsters. She is now the proud Mama to a boy hamster who's name I can't spell or pronounce.

She will turn 20 on Monday - so we are celebrating her birthday tomorrow when the guys get back, and before she returns to Pitt.

Elaine - Block Party sounds fun.
Pam - Happy Happy birthday to your DD :bday: Agreeing with you about the car thing (saying to myself - Do I look like I really KNOW what a body kit is??"

Chris at his friends for the night - hubby has switched activities - he's canning tomatoes now - me - doing laundry - re-doing is more like it - had laundry on the line for 3 days of rain - smells musty - gotta rewash - and watching CMT 100 greatest Country Duets.

Later Taters.....

He Ya Yas!
Teensy ketchup.
Elaine, glad kitty is better. Hope she stays that way. Stop beating on your keyboard! Block party sounds like fun!

Cars, yuk is all I can say about that. I am amazed that you even try.

Lights Motors Action! I went to it for a second time just for Ted. I enjoyed it the first time with JRKaren. The second time was fun with Ted and DISers we met on the cruise. Come January, if DSs go I am guessing I will see it again. More cars than I care to deal with actually. (I may be able to beg off that b/c of "THE race" hmmmm will see.

Glad the DDs are all doing well at school. Sounds like they are adjusting. Paula, she'll get better as time goes. Ask Pam.

Suzanne, glad to hear the DH is working. Great news. Sorry about your Mom, although I don't know exactly what is up with her b/c I haven't done the proper ketchup. Glad about your being closer to home now too with your work and "It's a Small World after all" with the teacher working there too.

JRKaren, hoping you enjoy your trip.

Paula, hoping you enjoy your trip.

Who had the really "smart" toppers. I love the one of Minnie. I came back with Stitch, but where do you get the Minnie? I need that one!

Kimmie, thanks for the ham pic. Enjoyed that.

Bethie, Congratulations on the keeper of the keys thing. I hear that means you get to leave your current place. Great news for you.

Nancy, so did the painting get done? That was the last I recall going on with you.

Ohhh and didja see the new BaB Wizare of Oz outfits? I love them. I need them! Was looking online to see what they offered for Halloween, so much cute stuff, but the Oz is my heart.

Azmarelda and Twyla Sue received Mickey ears hats with their names on them as souvenirs and baby Minnie socks. I need to commission Bethie for T-shirts now I think. Ted and I got Mickey ears as gifts from the cruise. I guess we may all need T-shirts.

Todd, I see you are dressing the girls?

John, Yankee Peddler...we will be trying to stop by to see you and family I hope.

Oh, love Tinker Bell, cutie pic.

Sherry, hope you can get that ink thing figured out. Never tried the stuff mentioned, but it sounds like magic. I guess I will have to look for Zout.

Posting now, more trip tidbits later.

Everyone,

Sorry if I didn't mention ya by name.

Someone is selling their Stuff we got from the cruise so I thought I'd post up this link so you could "see" some of what we received/paid for. There is a signed litho that is not part of this lot that we received. Signed by Ducky Williams, and we will be framing that for sure.

Every night we received something. It was an adventure just going to the room to see the goodies left along with the towel art.

We had a great trip. I will toss in more tidbits later.

Quick hi... back is aching so I am going to go soon.

Cleo just "yelled" at Gwen when she tried to lick her... things are getting back to normal ;)

Howdy Karen, enjoy the OT (especially the check)

Happy Birthday to your DD Pam :bday:
Congrats on the new pet too :teeth:

Paula, enjoy redoing the laundry... hate when that kind of thing happens!

Great ketchup Lily! And looks like y'all had cool stuff you could get!
Glad you had a wonderful time... looking forward to hearing more!

Going now, block party was fun. Nice neighbors! And OSU won, though they had better clean it up for next week

Off to lay down now... see y'all later!

Morning, all.

We had a great time last night. We got there and somehow, the internet registrations didn't take-so we didn't have to pay, didn't get the food, but still got the free bottle of wine, woohoo. Just as well, our table mates were getting these 'emperor's new clothes' sized portions of appetizers. Our palates have definitely changed, we found a austlese that was TOO sweet! :)

Because we didn't have to pay for the event, we went out and got a nice dinner afterwards at Sam Seltzer's. Ironically enough, the check only came to 6 bucks more than what we would have paid for the wine event, but Ed had a huge steak and I had prime rib. Felt weird to have the cozy table for two-I think this is the third time we've gone out for a 'couple's night' since we've had kids!

Came online to write down Paula's addy for the mug and get the L,M,A show times. Think we'll hit the first one of those, then head over to Epcot.

Suzanne

Thought I would let any Yankee candle people know about a great code that's out.

buy 2..... 22 ounce jars for price of one....they seem to go half price after the first 2 :teeth:
Code CAT 5093 flat rate shipping is $5.00 on orders under $100.
check out some of the new special addition scents that aren't as easy to find on just looking at the list.
White chocolate mint and almond toffee are ones that people are saying are really good.

Good Morning.

Happy Birthday to Pam's DD (btw does she have a name???? :teeth: )

Well, my morning started off crappy and hasn't gotten any better. I wanted to take the boys out for breakfast this morning and then to the park. But the car seat that I am replacing Ethan's old one with is the one Jar used as a booster seat. I had taken all the straps off so it would be a booster and somehow Jarrod has managed to lose one of the straps :( so it can't be used for Ethan. But in the mean time I went out to check my car and see if the strap was lost out there...arrived outside to see I had left my windows open yesterday b/c we were supposed to be going out to walmart after I gave blood (which btw they wouldn't take b/c my iron was in the tank!) It was looking at my windows and stepping on the soggy porch mat that made me realzie that it had rained last night and had rained IN my car. So with 3 windows open my car looks a little like it has been through the car wash...only on in the inside.
I decided I would steal mom's car and go get breakfast anyway. I tell Jar this and he informs me that while I was asleep he ate lots of cookies so he sin't hungry now. I explain that he can go and sit while E and I eat. Nope he wants to watch tv. With that he pranced down to the sunroom and turned on the video player. At that point I wasn't in the mood to fight with him (b/c it would have been a fight) so I ate my breakfast and read the paper.

Now I look outside and the limb on the tree that was dead and stuck in the tree has made its way down out of the tree. And it didn't look this big in the tree! I've got my work cut out for me today! Think I'm going back to bed!!

I'll be back later and be more cheerful (after I finish eating the cookies that are left!!!)

tara

oh, and a question before I go have a pity party!!

Does WDW sell the Golden Mickey Ears??? I want to make sure I get a pair but I haven't see anyone talk about gettng them from WDW.

thanks,
tara

Hi.

We didn't go over to WDW today-someone is a meltdown ripe for the picking. We talked the other day and the consensus was MGM for LMA then over to Epcot. No, now HE wants MK and won't listen to anyone else. It's better to stay home than have a screaming child at the parks. We'll go in two weeks on my next Sunday off. Plus, with my vacation coming up, I think we'll fall back into the pattern of last year of piling into the car as soon as they get home.

Got a great tip from the fussy baby thread-part of this behavior is due to him being a HORRIBLE sleeper. There's something out there called badger balm, gonna pick some up today. Kevin and I are going to head over to Costco and Target to run a few errands (and I'll probably be able to sneak over to JoAnn's for scrapping stuff) while Ed prepares his famous pot roast.

Tara, WDW does have the ears, too. They do say WDW on them, when Aeryn and I went to go meet BobD27 in July, she bought a pair. (I was very psyched that my new SM brought me back a pair from disneyland, because my next trip to WDW was going to get a match to it). So, start saving for those ears. BTW, if anyone plays VMK, they give you a card for virtual golden ears when you buy a pair of them. And they actually FIT my big old noggin.

So, Paula, I promise that the mug is still on the list-LMO was such a hit with my men that we have to go back over there. It'll probably be the two weeks.

Nancy, that is an awesome deal. If I didn't have so many B&BW candles already, I'd probably be going to the YC website.

Catch you all later. :)

Suzanne

Hey All,

Busy morning with church and all. We went to Home Depot afterwards and got plants to put where my topiary trees were. The topiaries croaked on me. As expensive as they are Im not replacing them. I got some hardy bushy flowering plants for those pots. I also got two beautiful hanging baskets. Then we went to Walmart where I had seen a statue of St Francis of Assisi that I wanted but we had the car yesterday. Went in and got it and also picked up some of those cute picks to put amonst the flowers in the front. Little did I know that both the statue and the picks were half price!!! So we got all the plants, the statue, the picks, and some stuff to make watering easier for what it would have cost us to replace the topiaries. Good shopping day in my book!! We just got home and having lunch before I go out and plant. We still have to go back to church at 5:00 for a class on the 40 Days of Purpose. What kinda gets to me is that there are over 100 workers in the childrens ministry yet only about 20 of us showed up last week and when I talked to people today about it everyone I talked to said they werent going. I just dont get it.

Well I better finish up lunch and get out there and do some planting.

HUGS TO ALL!!!! :grouphug:
