Ugh something I ate today has made me wicked sick. Ds is fine so I think it was the chicken I had for lunch. I fear it might have been bad. I should know better than to buy anything premade from Albertsons. Thankfully it hit me now and not at ds's school.

Suzanne Im so glad things went well for your mom today. I hope your plans for Disney and your vacation work out. You need some down time.

Gonna go lay down. I took something for the nausea and hopefully it will start working soon.

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

Elaine you posted at the same time I did.

I will step up the prayers for dear little Cleo and for you. Hopefully the meds will work and she wont need the surgery. :grouphug: sweetie. If you need someone to talk to Im here.

Elaine - so glad to hear it's not Cleo's liver. I will keep saying prayers.

Karen - feel better

Suzanne - glad to hear your mom's test went well and you have a plan in place - also congrats to for the inlaws - quick sale!! Remember - no whining at the wine event tomorrow!!

Nancy - how was your day??

Pretty quiet here tonite - Chris at a friends - I'll be switching off between Food Network and TLC whilst hubby snores thru Sci-Fi.

Pardon me.....

If everyone could focus their attention for one moment to my ticker.....10 days - yes - that's right 10 days to go.......

Thank you and resume your acitvities......

Nope, more like a kid in a candy store at this company's events. I think we're pretty excited-we get a free bottle of wine for attending, and we can put an advance order in up to 30 days ahead. Probably will be getting a whole case of the 'schiozophrenic red' hungarian wine we love.

Lots of kitty pixie dust headed to Cleo....hope the meds do the job.

Yep ::yes:: Suzanne, my candy has been bought waiting for a name for quite awhile :teeth:

Christin and I spent most of the day picking out a pattern and material for her a Halloween costume.....guess who gets to make it  I haven't sewn anything in years!!
And it isn't going to be a cheap one either. I will need lots of sewing/don't mess up pixie dust headed this way over the next couple of weeks.
But, if it goes as expected.....or even mostly ;) it will look great...and she will be a gypsy for the rest of her life for Halloween ::yes::
So much easier to do what I did, order from the sale at Disney Direct!!

We saw Transporter 2. Fun, action packed movie.

Glad things are going well for your mother, Suzanne.

Karen, hope you feel better soon.

Trip is rescheduled for Sept. 30......so not too far off.

Need to find food. We only had popcorn today. It took so long at Joann's that we had to rush to get to the movie on time.
Need to find something to fix for dinner too, since I didn't plan on being here tonight.

I have 3 timers now :hyper:

Hi Ya Yas!

I'm back! I know, ya didn't even realize I had left, but that's ok.
:earsgirl:
Really been back all week, just Wayyy to busy trying to get caught up. Well, I tried reading tonight from where I left off...not complete yet, but now my head is swimming. Must go nap. Will chat up all tomorrow after I get my miles in.

Hi y'all! My spacebar isn't working well on my desktop. Of course after I plucked out the stupid posts and stuff, I thought "hey, you could've done this all on your working laptop" :rolleyes Silly me

I wound up watching most of "Sin City" tonight... not really by choice. Just as I was about to get up, Cleo came to join Luis and I (as she always does) on the couch. So.... I got stuck with my kitty and my blanket. At least she did sleep soundly for a while... something she hasn't done a lot of lately.

Tara, you are forever keeping me laughing with your posts lately!!! I do hope some day Jarrod does learn to dress himself better ;)
How was the dance?

Alan... you bad bad boy... to even think such things!!!!!!

And Todd, oh never mind :duck:

Suzanne, that commercial for Vegas makes me laugh too! I love it when the girls realize they are "caught" when the guys give the names. And I am glad your mom's bronchioscopy went well! Best wishes for her with the recovery and result waiting!

Karen, I hope you are feeling better soon!

Ooooh Food Network & TLC! I love both of those. If I am tired on a Saturday those are the two channels we flip through as well. We both enjoy watching together :teeth:

10 Days??? Woo hoo!!! Now you can start that single digit dance (ever so carefully) tomorrow ::yes::

Nancy, sending tons of PD your way for the sewing! I am sure it will come out great! What did you decide on for halloween?

Woo hoo on the third countdown! The Halloween Trip is the new one right? That should be loads of fun!

Lily, of course we knew you weren't here! How did it go??? I hope the trip was great :)

Well, I admit I am trying to stay more positive and remembering it will take a bit of time for it all to heal up on Cleo if it is just blockage. The steroids should shrink anything like that and let it go on its own. Cleo has been a wee bit perkier. She did get sick, but we were giving her turkey when we thought it was the liver (the vet said give her protein in any way she'll take it)... considering it is now definitely the gall bladder, the turkey actually wasn't a wise choice (harder to digest). So she's back to kitty food only, but this will be wet food to make it even easier to digest. She likes it more anyway.

As long as she doesn't get sick between now and tomorrow around noon, I will feel better. She's eaten some since so we'll wait and see. She is also acting more calm than she has in a while... I am so hoping that is a good sign. But she was also batting at a light we were using, so the calm is just her resting well.

Yep rambling, but trust me, I am one worried mama... couldn't cry any more if I tried I think.

*Lainey knocks on all the doors*

did I scare you all away? :sad1:

said in best Robin Williams voice.GOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDD MMMMMOOOOOOORRRRRRRNNNNNNNNIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGG YAAAAAYAAAAAASGeez a bunch of sleepy heads here today!!!

Welcome back Lily! I knew you were missing but I thought you had jumped ship like some of the other yayas. **sniff**I think some don't think we are good enough for them!!! How was your trip?? Did you eat and drink and dance the days away?

Elaine...glad you enjoy these posts. It seems my kids are giving me lots of material here lately!!

The dance was fun. We walked into a cafe with probably 200 kids and all their parents and siblings! It was a wee bit crowded. But pretty soon this really cute little black girl came over to Jar and wanted to talk to him. She stared at him and he looked at me! :rotfl: I finally asked her name, she was Olivia. I tried to get Jar to dance with her but he had this look of sheer panic. As soon as she wondered off he began this dancing thing that looked like his body parts weren't attached and were all doing their own thing! It was hysterical. I think he was trying to get her attention now. But then he started break dancing when he saw a first grade boy from his bus doing the same thing. All was fine and dandy...they were chasing each other and wrestling (with me in the back telling Jar to be careful)....and then it happend. The heads collided and Jarrod ended up with a bloody nose!! Yep! Right there in the middle of the cafe. So I had to find a bathroom wher I could go in with him, but we got him straight.

After cleaning up we hit the snack table for a blue raspberry ring. His entire face was blue from this dang thing. I do have pictures. I tried to get him to do the chicken dance, the macarena, and the cha cha slide. He wasn't having any of it. He finally disappeared while I was talking to anothe mother. Turns out he was sitting outside getting "some cool air" (the cafe was 65 degrees, outside was 85 degrees :teeth: ) So the other mother and her kids went outside too and we spent the next hour with all three boys outside running around. We eventually moved over to a play area and the boys climbed and romped and wore themselves out!

Now the really funny part about the woman I was talking to is that she WAS my step sister. My mother married her father when we were both in high school. She never lived with us or even visited b/c her mother thought my mother was the problem (honest...she wasn't). Anyway, Mary Jo now goes to church with my SIL and Mary Jo's mom hates my SIL b/c she married my brother. Just our last name is poison to her mom!! LOL! So we were laughing at how her mom would be mortified to know that Jar and Jeramiah are in the same Kindergarten class and ride the same bus!! Lord help them if they aer ever playing together and her mom finds out!! hehehe

Okay, gotta go and get some work done before I go to give blood today!! Wish me luck! I always worry that my iron will be low!!

hugs to all!
tara

Nah, you didn't scare us away.

I went to bed very early (for me) last night. Getting up for work at 5am will do that to you. Felt weird that the boys came in to ask for a movie at 7:30 and I was wide awake, though. Certified night owl here, and I have to get used to doing the 5am thing at least once a week for at least a month.

We went out for dinner last night, mainly because I didn't defrost anything as I thought I'd be at mom's. We went to Cody's, the place we go to a lot (2 for one fajitas on Wednesday, woohoo). Got a server we hadn't had before and immediately joked about how the servers only write Jon on the table for the manager on duty. He was good, very attentive.

When he dropped the check, he asked if we'd been going there since they opened. Yep, first week, Summer was our server (awesome girl!), and blah blah blah. Mentioned the creepy experience and he told us to let them know about something like that ASAP. He said they would kick anyone out that behaved like that, and they have kicked people out for lesser offenses. Made me feel better about the whole thing-and drove home why we like the place. Heck, when I asked the kids where they wanted to eat, they immediately piped up with "Cody's". LOL

Gotta check in with mom, was waiting until 9:30. I'll probably be heading over for a bit with the kids, but if I don't, the house cleaning and grocery shopping beckon. I need to get some cereal, because I typically shop at a store that doesn't have the bagged cereals. The way my kids go through the stuff, I'd rather pay 2.50 a bag than 4 bucks for a box! (It means more spending money for WDW, lol)

The vote is in-the boys want Lights, Motors, Action, and Epcot! So I probably will get Paula's mug-PM me an address and I'll have them ship it direct if you want! :)

TTFN. If end up staying home and cleaning, I'll end up with breaks at the computer!

Suzanne

I'm having a :rotfl: morning. Kevin announced that when he grows up, he's going to be Neil's boss. Neil insists he's going to be the VP of video game programming, but Kevin still is saying he'll be his boss!

Now, where did I leave the 'college for kids' guide from the local community college-sign him up for those computer classes. He'll design some fantastic game and mom will be living well!

Suzanne

Good Morning!

I got to sleep in this morning! YAY! I really needed it!!
Staying home today and cleaning and doing laundry. And, of course, watching the Bucks game. :bounce:

Welcome back, Lily.

Yay for 3 timers, Nancy!

9 days now, Paula. Woo hoo!!

Karen, my SIL took 2 of the boys shopping last night, so I had a small break. One was sleeping, too, and one watching the Indians game and playing pool on Yahoo, so I had a small break. :teeth:

good morning ya yas... long time no see...
I have a new friend, her name is Tinker Bear.. DH bought her for me yesterday !!

DSC01391.jpg

I hope you all had a wonderful super duper summer.. If you will still have me, I hope to check in ore often..

take care

:teeth:

Hi, Stacey! Welcome back-summers seem to take some yayas away.

She's a cutie! I have a Buzz Lightbear that my menfolk made for me this past valentine's day.

No mom's today, looks like she's doing well-she's still sleeping. That's a good sign! So, I will be cleaning, I just need to get motivated. I can't wait until all the bills are finally caught up so I can get the california closets started. I will probably be doing a DIY in Kevin's closet so we can better organize the toys. I put shelves in the closet in the playroom up north, and he's asking for the same in his closet now.

Later taters!

Suzanne

Welcome home, Lily. Tell us about your trip.

Yay on the counter, Paula!! Can't wait until one of mine is that low!! :hyper:

Elaine, we ordered Donald and Daisy.
Christin wants us to go trick-or-treating with her
sorry you were abandoned last night......I am usually here, but decided to check out a new TV show and that went past my bedtime ;)

Glad the dance was fun, Tara :)

Glad you got to sleep in, Sherry :sunny: That is always a nice thing to be able to do.

Gardening for us today......looks like rain. If that happens it will be garage cleaning....oh what an exciting life we live :rotfl:

you know, I came here to post, but I didn't realize i would type so much. I am going to start my cookies then switch out my keyboard later... I'll really reply then, or move to my laptop

stupid temper of mine killing keyboards :rolleyes1

HI everyone. I actually went grocery shopping to day - good to get out of the house but tired and sore now.
Lunch was a DD iced coffee (light - no sugar) and a jelly stick - yummy!!

Last night was quiet as expected - Chris came home and immediately went on line to look at cars - and it was really nice that he had me sit with him so he cound explain everything to me about what he wants etc. He even said "it makes working all these hours worth it" - which also makes me glad that he has a goal. He's at work right now - Hubby doing beer and wine - making - not drinking - hahaha.

Alyssa called last night - she made it safetely to Ryan - she said that the bus ride thru the Berkshire Mts was beautiful - she sounded very happy to be with him. I asked her about security at the bus station - did they chek in her bag etc - she said no - I asked Did you only take your backpack" - shesaid Oh no - my LL Bean bag because I brought my books!!! Wow!!! I'm guessing she is planning on doing homework while Ryan has baseball - what a good kid!

Got a new magazine in the mail today - "MORE" - looking forward to checking it out.

Tara - loved the whole dance story - whoda thunk??
STacey - Hi there!! Tinkerbelle is ever so cute!!
Nancy - sewing a Haloween costume!! You have my deepest respects!!
Elaine - hugs and such.....I am still missing my Fluffy so much - I'd love to get a kitten - but DH woudl not go for it I'm sure.
Suzanne - happy wine day and again thank you for thinking of me and my mug!!
Lily....you were gone?? Your spirit is so strong here I didn't notice...

9 days....I am so excited.....buying new sneakers this week....have to measure the kids roll on bag to see if it meets carry on requirements - I'll prob also take Chris' Disneyquest backpack and my LL Bean fanny pack.

Love and hugs to all......

ARGH!! Jonathan left a pen in his jeans pocket and of course it exploded all over my dryer. :rolleyes1
I tried using hairspray to get it out, and some of it came out. I'm afraid to dry the clothes that are in the washer now, though. :confused3 :sad2:
