Bethie I promise you Im taking it very easy. I came home and slept for two hours after I went to church today. I do not want to end up back in the hospital. Dh thought about it also and sat me down tonight and said NO to taking me anywhere tomorrow after work. He asked me what I wanted at the two stores and said he would take the kidlets and go get what I want tomorrow. I told him exactly what I wanted at Burdines and I told him only one thing that I absolutely want at B&BW and told him to use his imagination with the rest of the money in the scent that I like. So I kinda get a surprise too! Bethie dh is being very very very protective of me and is keeping me on keel when I start to get nutsy.

Amanda Im so sorry the kidlets are getting sick. Poor babies. I hope the doctor can give them something tomorrow to fix them right up so they wont be sick for your trip.

Liz Im so sorry you had such a bad experience with your SIL last night and that it is causing problems with you now seeing your nieces. Family can be very toxic sometimes. I know I have had that experience with my sisters hence not speaking to them in 11 years basically. Hey but ya know what?? Bethie, Todd, and Amanda can cheeto her in person this week!!! I am so excited for you!!!! I can't wait to hear about all your exploits!!!

Evening, all!

Well, I was able to get those doors closed at 6pm, but didn't get out until 7:45. All in all, it wasn't too bad-half the returns than usual. That makes me happy!

I'm getting my Daytimer pages, woohoo! I love online ordering. Last year, I opted to go to Staples and all they had were Dayrunner pages in my size planner-and the dayrunner calendar starts with Monday. All year I was messed up! After 15 years with the other brand, it's good to be back.

Okay, maybe up that yaya challenge-I at least need to get off this 50 I gained! I think it'll be good to get out there and follow behind Kevin on that bicycle, then when he's comfortable with it, get out on my bike, too. Neil's got a bike, but he's still on the training wheels-I give Kevin a week to get rid of his. That's a challenge that'll help Neil. He's got some minor gross motor issues, and seeing his little brother w/o those training wheels will be motivation!

Tara, glad Mom is okay. She should get some more rest.

Karen, good that your DH is going to run your errands for you. So, what is your favorite BBW scent? They've got some new, yummy ones-black raspberry vanilla is my new favorite, but I'm going to stock up on some seaspray tomorrow.

Bethie, don't get in too much trouble with Liz...hope the weather cooperates for you ladies.

Amanda, crossing my fingers that both girls are feeling better in the am. If not, at least the doctor should be able to see them.

Nancy, did you have fun at the casino? Enjoy having the family there!

JRKaren, a woman after my own heart-bargain flight finder extraordinaire!

Lainey, I need to get back on the right bandwagon. I know where I started to go wrong-after finding out the Nutrasweet triggered 95% of my migraines, I switched to regular sodas. Bad Girl. I hate the new kitchen and have no microwave, so double bad girl. The first thing I do on my day off is spend 30 bucks on one so that I can reheat all the leftovers that are better for me, rather than eating all that junk. I'll be inspired by your successes!

I've been summoned for some snuggle time with my little guy!

TTFN

Whew!! The extended version of ROTK is 4+hours long!!! Saw some neat stuff that got cut from the theatre release and LOVED it!! Gotta go sleepy sleep now since the alarm is set for 5AM! Dave is at work and will be coming home to pick me up at 6 to go to the airport. I just hope I can get some sleep---I love traveling and am soooooo excited to be going to see the snow!! I am praying really hard that the weather will cooperate for flying AND for Liz driving to and from the airport!! Any other prayers ya'll could add to that would be greatly appreciated!!

Karen, I'm so relieved that your DH is helping you to stay down! Such a sweetie to go to the mall for you, too!! Not many men who will voluntarily enter the perfume dept., that's for sure!! Try to be good, girlfriend, and keep getting better. You are in my thoughts and prayers always.

Amanda, I'm praying hard for your family, too! I bet you ALL are looking forward to getting away from all the hubbub of the holidays and spending a little quiet family time together. So Cassie was running a fever, as well?! Hope your doc will be able to make time for you first thing tomorrow and will find nothing to worry about!

And just cuz Mom is home, doesn't mean I'm gonna quit praying for her, Tara! We are all ever so grateful that it wasn't her heart but just knowing that there is still an unsolved mystery pain is worriesome. Will keep holding Mama Bev and all of you up in prayer.

Nighty-night, Ya Ya family! I'll check in on ya'll from Liz's tomorrow!! Sweet dreams!!!

Suzanne I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Lavender scent that B&BW has. I especially like the pillow spray which is the thing I told dh I absolutely wanted. Its so nice to snuggle in at night with that lovely scent wafting around your head. It helps me to sleep and often helps if I have a headache. I told him just to surprise me on anything else in that line. I also like the body oil spray they have in the same scent. Doing it this way is like getting a double present. I got the gift of the gift certificate and I get surprised on what Im getting with it!!!

Well Atilla the Honey has spoken and it is off to bed with me. He wants me in bed by at 10:00 PM at the latest. I better get there before he gets back from the store LOL!!! Night Night All!! Sweet dreams!!!

Just wanted to stop by and wish everyone a belate Merry Christmas. Hope everyone is doing fine and had many blessings this Christmas. :D

Morning All,

Yup it's 5:30. Im not used to this much sleep so Im up early and just relaxing, having a nice warm cup of coffee and reading the boards. I'ts cold to us here. It's only 42 with the wind chill factor. Where the heck did that come from?? It wasn't supposed to get cold.

Bethie have a SAFE and WONDERFUL trip today!! I can't wait to hear about yours and Liz's exploits!! LOL!! I hope you two just have the most wonderful of weeks together!!

Suzanne I meant to say the scent you mentioned last night sounds wonderful. I will have to check that one out when I can finally get to the store myself.

Betty it's so nice to see you!!! Merry Belated Christmas to you too!!! Im glad to hear you had a nice Christmas. Even though I've been sick it was a really nice Christmas here also.

I am really looking forward to our little weight loss group here. I think it will be just so helpful to us all.

What is everyone doing for New Years?? We are just staying in. We never go anywhere on NYE it's just too dangerous and I would just rather be home with the kids. I will make a nice din din or dh will, just relax and watch TV that night then probably wake the kids at Midnight to say Happy New Year and dh and I will toast with a little Champers. Neither one of the kidlets ever make it to Midnight no matter how hard they try LOL.

Good morning everyone!

I spent the past hour digging out of eight inches of the white stuff. My brother has a snow blower, but God forbid he get up and actually use it. I hate the things, so I refuse to use it myself. I don't think they do as good of a job as hand shoveling. I didn't shovel the walk way in front of his car, though--he'll either have to walk through it or do it himself. Lazy, good for nothing...

Karen, hope you are feeling much better. Still get lots of rest, though.

Bethie, have fun with Liz. Be sure to torture her for me :)

Tara, glad to hear that your mom is home. I hope she is feeling better.

Suzanne, glad that the returns weren't as bad as you expected :)

Amanda, I hope Mandy enjoys her electric scooter :)

Time to finish getting ready for work. Talk to you later, folks.

JellyrollsKaren

Been off work since Thursday and every day I am up between 7-7:30....would love to sleep till 9 or later. I think today I am up because I want to call the Dr. as soon as they open.

Karen...we are going to church and my IL's for New Year's Eve. On New Year's day we will do our final Christmas exchange with my sister's family.

Morning all... wasn't in a chatty mood last night, not at all. Actually still not really today as well. I slept in today until about 7 or so and that is a nice feeling :)

Amanda, the only day I slept in until 9 or so was Christmas Day... then again I was up utnil about 4 am that night, so that had something to do with it

Nancy, glad to see you pop in. My time on the computer seems limited too and no one is even staying here!

Merry Christmas Betty! I hope all is well with everyon at home!

Our plans for NYE are to go to Hocking Hills on the night of the 30th with some friends. We'll get back on the 2nd I think (although I really would rather get that day at home to do nothing) But it should be relaxing :)

Unlike some of you who are happy with snow... I am happy that we are starting to hit the 20s for a high (still single and below for the lows) so we can get rid of all this compacted snow & ice!!! Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 30s so by the end of the week this junk should all be gone :hyper:
We wound up with about an inch more of snow yesterday... could've done with out that ;)

Well Bethie just called and was heading to her terminal. Looks like her plane is gonna be a little late!! But that is OK, it looks as though it will only be about 15 minutes late....and who knows what they can make up in the air. So, I am off to take a shower and head out to the airport!! It may take me as long to get to the airport, as it will take her to get here from Washington!!!! Go figure!!

Karen, gald to hear that you are feeling better!! Continue to rest and feel better!! Sounds like you better dress in layers today with that cold Florida temp!!

Suzanne, so glad to hear the returns were at a minimum. I think there is a trip to the Disney store here in the plans at some point. And what Bethie doesn't know is that the Disney store is RIGHT next to BAB!! I think this could be trouble!!

Amanda, sorry to hear you are not in bed sleeping in!! Hope that Mandy and Cassie are feeling better! Also hope that you get in to see the doc this morning! Looking forward to meeting up with you later today! Just keep me posted. I will keep the cell phone handy!! Always do, you know!

Tara, how is mom this morning? Sounds like she had quite the time of it. Hope that she is feeling better and they are able to find she "just" has a pinched nerve!! Get well wishes to her!

Caroline, hope today finds you feeling better too! Never fun to be feeling under the weather. Keep us updated on how you are feeling and what you are hearing about grad school. I would so love to go back to school to get my masters.....in what, I have no idea, but I would love to go back!!

Kristy, speaking of school...enjoying your time off? Hope so! Always nice to see you pop in! Also great to see your siggie pic and that you are 30 pounds lighter than the last time you popped in!! I think we need pics!!

Lily, you must be a very busy girl......haven't seen you in days! Hope you are enjoying you holiday!

Nancy, I agree with everybody else!!! We want and NEED details! Wish I could have been there to help out with all that testing!! I can't believe that someone gets up earlier than you!! Hope you are able to escape if even for a minute to find some you time!!! Enjoy your family time too!!

Elaine, what are you doing up so early? Aren't you off this week? I would have thought you would have slept in. I guess those habits of getting up (even when off) are hard to break!

Pam, where have you been hiding? Are you at Lily's? Bet you are loving having all the family home. Hope you are enjoying your time together.

Deena, how are the flakes in your neighbor hood? We have lots of them here...just in time for Bethie's arrival. Alas, maybe you too can find a little sleeping in time this next week. Hope you were able to make a nice big snow man too!!

JRKaren, how was the shoveling? Sounds like you go a fair amount of the white stuff too!! How fun for you to have to shovel out before going to work. Oh, and Bethie has already told me.....Little Karen is along for this trip. Looks like we will be tortuing YOU!!

Sherry, you planning on getting lots of sleep this week? Hope you are able to get a few days of sleeping in. Hope the boys are able to enjoy all that snow!!

Betty, long time no see. Always good to see you! Hope you had a wonderful holiday.

SSB, can't wait to hear your weather report today! Hope is it nice and warm for you!!

TC, how did Sue's van survive? Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!!

Well, I guess I better get my but in gear if I am going to go get Bethie. I guess I best not leave her at the airport. Not lots to do there!!! Of course we won't be getting back til a bit later in the day, quite possibly evening, as we are headed out to hopefully meet Todd and Amanda....at Cheesecake Factory!! Ah, the power of suggestion!! But we will et you all know how it turned out once we get back here.

Have a good one and know that we are out and having fun...all in the good name of the yaya's. Now who has the bail money?

:earseek:

From outward appearances, the only damage is to the wheel cover. Sue is going to schedule an appointment with our local Dodge dealership to check for any possible damage to the rear axle.

Did I mention that Sue was on her way back from the lawn mower repair place because the wheel had fallen off our snowblower? She was looking for replacement wheels, but the local shop didn't have any in stock. When I finally got home, I drove to Home Depot and bought a $1 part that fixed the problem. Good thing. We used that snowblower more over the Christmas weekend than we have in the past two or three years combined. Yikes.

Well Im at work. Not so sure how long Im gonna last though. I'm a bit worse with the congestion in my chest this morning which may be from lowering the Prednisone in the last couple of days per the doctor. May have been too soon to do so. I put in a call to him so I should hear back shortly on what he wants me to do. Gonna talk to my boss today and just tell him that I may not make it all day. My coworker called already and told me that if I needed to she would cancel her vacation and come in so that I could stay home. I do NOT want her to do that. She deserves this time off. Just gonna take it slow and easy today and my boss will just have to understand I cannot be running around like a mad fool.

Heard back from the doctor. I was given a choice of either upping the dose of Prednisone again or seeing the pulmonary doctor or both. I chose to up the dose. I talked to my boss when he came in...he's also a doctor.....and he told me to up the dose of Predisone by one more pill than even my doctor suggested and told me that if I get no better he wants me to see the pulmonologist. I haven't asked him if I can leave early today but he knows I'm sick.

Liz, hope you enjoy your time with Beth!!!
Oh and btw, I did sleep in... I didn't show up online here until about 7:30... for someone who normally gets up at about 5 or so, that is sleeping in ;)

John, I hope the damage wont' be any further than superficial. But I am glad you had you snowblower fixed in time! I would have loved to have one here last week! Although Luis said he saw a few snow blowers not working becuase of the ice.

Karen, I hope the change in dose will help you. Just take it easy and get well soon!

ACK! Another WAY cold one... but at least the rains have gone away. Would guess in the 40's. Too funny as SSB saw some people bundled up with gloves, and other literally wearing swim suits!!!!

Brrrrrrr..... good morning everyone!! :)

Well - we got snow - although about 12 hours too late for a White Christmas!!
Roads were a little treacherous last night. (We had a friend's b-day party to go to, but only slid a couple of times.)

My guys are now out with their muzzleloaders hunting. That's the old fashioned guns that you have to measure the powder and use balls that you mold yourself. You get 1 shot - and then you have to do the whole reloading process before firing again.

DD is still in bed. :)

We had a great Christmas! For the first time in 22 years we did not leave the house (well.... DD did to go to her BF's house!) Both sets of parents came down in the afternoon to our house.

I got UGG boots!! (My darling DD got together with DS and DH to come up with that idea!!) I also got a new Canon digital camera and hubby thoughtfully went out and bought me a new white leather King James Version Bible to replace the one Gunny ate this past summer! I got lots more - but more importantly - we had a wonderul and relaxing day to celebrate and honor Jesus Christ.

We went to Church on both Christmas Eve and then yesterday morning.

I need to now go dishes and laundry and then head into town to the main office and post office.

Tara - I am praying for your Mom. I think your brother is a first-class jerk for letting your Mom sit at the hospital and making you drag those little babies out in a snowstorm! I have one of those bros, too......

Amanda - were you able to contact the doctor? I can remember when my two kids were younger, without fail, they always got sick over Christmas. And then it spread to everyone else - right through New Year's. I hope Mandy feels better soon!

Karen - take care of yourself!!

Elaine - I can always take a nap for you and Amanda, what time do you want me to schedule you? ;)

TC - glad to hear that the van damage appears to be minimal. And way to go on the $1 repair on the snowblower!

Liz - sorry you had a stinky Christmas with the relatives. You need to do what I did - stay at home.... ;) Have fun with Bethie!! (Quick, everyone - let's start pooling the bail money, I think we will need it!!! :earseek:

SSB - you crack me up! When it gets to 30º in the winter, our teenage son starts shedding clothes because he thinks we are having a heat wave!!

Suzanne - glad to hear that you didn't have too hectic of a work day yesterday. But I shudder to think what you will be experiencing today. :(

Hiya, Betty-spaghetti!!!! We've missed you. Please come back and be our special friend!!!

Mad love to one and all!!

Tis true!

SSB would probably not be as aware of the weather... but refused to ever where a coat here in mornings to work, after moving from Chicago... haha!

:teleport: Hiya folks. Just dropping in to say HI. I haven't caught up since Saturday night but will try to later on today. Heading out now to meet my mom and grandma for lunch :cool1:

Wow, I hope they don't freeze their...... powder off.

And I was not wielding a knife on Christmas Eve; it was the axe. You are the one who asked for Venison and I haven't found any road kill for you lately.

I hope all the unhealthy Y'all-Y'alls and mothers and daughters are all well very soon.

Our Christmas was a wonderfully relaxing family time and we loved it.

I had to go all the way back to the snow pics to catch up with y'all this morning...whew!

BTW, who knew that Amanda was an elf??? That's cool that you don't even leave tracks you nimble little Elvin princess you. Does that make Todd some sort of impish creature too? :teeth:
