...ketchup....DS, 10, was SICK AS A DOG for the last 3 days....Monday, after school, had a sore throat, cough, and stuffy nose. I kept him home Tuesday; took him to see the Dr...winds up having an ear infection, so now he's on Amoxicillin....he went to school Wednesday, complaining of a stomach ache; threw up in his 'gifted' class; needless-to-say, I had to leave MY school to pick him....vomited ALL DAY Wed...upset yesterday because he was playing the part of Frosty the Snowman in his school XMas play....he stayed home yesterday, but was feeling well enough to make his stage debut last night as the 'cool, white guy'....Thank goodness for my DS, Todd, who went to buy my trees for XMas, so at least I can now do some decorating....

Morning, yayas and bothers. I had a nice post last night and the post monster got me.

Yesterday, we took a drive up to Jacksonville to help my friend with marital problems. Her husband has battered her self esteem for so long and yesterday was horrible-blaming her for things that aren't in her control. So we went up, cleaned and threw away a lot of stuff (8 bags!). I did some legwork for abuse shelters, support groups and other services in case she can't get down to us. I have a feeling that I'll be coming home tonight to find her sitting on the couch.

Never been to CF, although I love Macaroni Grill...the best Pork Chops! Olive Garden in higher on DH's and the boy's list, but I can find something to eat there.

As far as those cheat sheets, I STILL get Deena and Sherry mixed up, lol. I guess both having 4 boys (which I think is great) is what causes me to do that. My mom goes through 7 other names before getting to mine most of the time, so I feel for the mixups with the kids!

Today's the last day of school for the boys...and I got off easy this year with teacher's gifts-only three to buy for and they've all been bestowed with Bath and Body Works! The kids are off until January 4th!

Off I go, gotta hit the zoo on the way in to get one of my nephew's presents. He's really into Owls, and can tell you the different kinds. Last night, we ate at Hooter's and I got him a Hooter's shirt! Not sure if my sister's gonna like her son asking to wear his owl shirt every day (she's very conservative), but it's sweet revenge for all the practical jokes she's pulled on everyone else!

As for the concerts Styx was my first date concert. I had been to others with my mom--Elvis Presley and to some of the rodeo concerts with my grandparents. Of course I cant really say I was all that excited about seeing Buck Owens or Roy Clark but they did have some fun ones I saw like KC and the Sunshine band, Hall & Oats and Leif Garrett (did I just say that?? lol). Well he wasnt a loser back then.

I like Chevy's, Red Robin ....looking forward to trying Macaroni Grill and a new PF Changs just opened in the same mall along with a Claim Jumpers. DH likes them a lot, so we must schedule a visit....after th holidays!

Names. Oh boy. My poor grandmother. She'd run through every grandchild's name before she'd get to the right one. We all thought we had one long collective name. Kim/King/Keely/Karen/Kallie/Karlie.... that was always followed up with a four letter exclamation and: "What EVER your name is... COME HERE!!"

I saw your crack thread!!

I am so suprised no one has touched this Liz!! I spewed my Diet Coke all over the place when I read that!! Folks it really wasn't "MY crack" that the thread was about!!!

I was exhausted last night when I got home so I didn't have the energy to even turn on the computer last night. I have been staying late this week to help my students with a research paper they have due next week. My only peeve about it, is that the parents either don't help at all OR they do it for the kid. When the kid can't even tell you what the sentence means you pretty well know he didn't write it!! It is hard to tactfully tell a parent to lay off some. Anyway, it was fun getting to actually work with kids and make some progress

Okay, back to what I posted the last time. I like the macaroni Grill occassionally. My main complaint is that it is too loud. I love their Penne Rustica but one of our group said we had to try this Sucobianco (?sp) Anyway it was bow tie pasta with red onions in an asiago cream sause and then had chicken and prsciutto (the expensive ham!). It was to die for. Now I want to go back and have it again. I also had a drink called a Tiarini...Godiva White Chocolate liquier, rum or vodka (I don't remember), chocolate swirled in the glass, and mixed with half and half!! I wanted three or four of those! I like Olive Garden too. Jarrod calls it "Breadsticks".

We also have PF Chang's .... Love it!! and Cheesecake Factory...haven't tried it yet, not gonna wait for 2 hours to get in. I'll wait until things die down and then I'll try it!

All this talk of food reminds me that my caboose is geting bigger and bigger with each day. I just can't figure out why I can't control my food in take. I was saying this morning that at least last year at this time when my belly and butt ran into things I had an excuse. I don't have an excuse now....yeah I do... I can't push myself back from the table. UGH! Sorry to vent its just that I'm really getting frustrated and the more frustrated I get the more I tend to eat. I don't snack I just continue to eat if there is food on the table!

Anyway, enough whining and moaning. I decided yesterday that Jarrod will spend Christmas Eve with his dad. His family is very big into Christmas eve celebrations and so in the morning after he sees what santa left him at daddy's he'll come home and enjoy christmas at home.

Tara how are the pics from Sears? Do we get to see some of them?

Oh and don't get me started on the pictures!!! I never got a phone call but was told they were supposed to be in by October 30. Well, I forgot about them since they never called. Last night when I got in there they couldn't find them. It seems they were never shipped!!! So they are "searching' for them now. I was peeved that they screwed them up the first time but to now have no record of having every sent them, I'm really ticked. So now my christmas cards will have to go out without pictures. As soon as I get them I will post them.

Geez, do you think I could talk any more? I'm pretty mouthy with just my own self!!

Got a Christmas party to go to tonight. So I won't be back until this weekend. That is if seeing Santa, baking cookies, and seeing lights doesn't get me first!!!

Hi ya..YaYa's! Well it's been one heck of a week...flew home from WDW on Monday night...WDW was nice...temps good..not too hot...not too cold...just right!
Only got to meet a couple of YaYa's ...JRKaren and KristieTX, maybe next year I'll meet more!

Tuesday morning my car was acting really funny....engine was racing. Brought it into my mechinic and he took a look under the hood, seems someone was building himself a little winters nest and clogged up the pipes or something...and his name was not Mickey! Yuck! So, $60.00 later(labor), car running fine. Imagne that...one week away and that little stinker found himself a new home...glad it was outside and not in the house!

WDW was nice...temps good..not too hot...not too cold...just right!
Only got to meet a couple of YaYa's ...JRKaren and KristieTX, maybe next year I'll meet more!

DD home from college now till the 25th....she cost me more when she comes home than when she's in school, if you can beleive that!

Well gals and guys....going to try to wrap some gifts tonight while DD is working...I don't have another day off till Christmas eve...they are killing me for taking a week off in December....I did another 11 hour shift today..6am till 5pm! I'll be in need of another week off soon!!! LOL

The thread about Chrismas bonus' reminded me that one of the customers on David's route gave him a $25 cert to Pappas (Pappadeaux, Pappasitos', etc) and on the line where you write who its to they wrote "UPS Dude" lol. David and I got a big kick out of that. It was really nice of them to give him something.

Not much new here!! Spent the day in bed with some really bad cramps!! I think we are headed out to get some presents for the furry boy. He has some, but I have been told he NEEDS more!! Poor little guy gets jipped as he has a Christmas birthday!! Funny thing aobut Barkley is that he LOVES to unwrap his presents.....and anybody elses as well. It is actully quite funny to watch. So I guess I have a few mroe things to wrap.....but then I will be done!!!

Other than that, not much new here. Off to take some more tylenol and hope these cramps go away!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that you are hurting today Liz. Must be the phase of the moon because my ankle hurts more than it has since the day that I broke it. I guess I overdid it at WDW and I'm paying the price today.

On the bright side, I just won a couple of Ebay auctions that I really wanted to win, so I have more gifts for the kiddies.

Our photo from the December 7th MVMCP just showed up in the mail today too. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.
