Thanks for the welcome, everyone. Wow, I was working last night (finished at 7am), then up early this afternoon and off to my company Christmas party, and I missed 2 1/2 pages. I now realize the meaning of the 'ketchup' that I read about in my pre-Ya Ya research.

And yes, helenabear, my name is Caroline, and I'd be perfectly happy if people called me that here. Forgive me if it takes a while for me to learn everyone else's name though. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Good morning all!!! I can already tell this will be a fun day... nothing started right here at work

Lily, I got lucky... Luis was helping out a ton last night with the cleaning. Made me much happier. I am nitpicky with wrapping presents so this is what is taking me forever. I did have one gift to buy (well save one I ordered online last night to make sure it wasn't delivered *too* early... strange about that with some family, but I knew it was there and it wasn't a big deal) but I had to hold off on another gift to get until I knew where certain family would be for Christmas. Now I have to run and get one final gift there. So I have teeny things to do that will take me forever. I think by the time I am done, cleaning the cat fountain and vacuuming will be all I have left.

Oh and that dead spider... he stayed there until Luis came home. He took a paper towel and was going to throw it in my trash can in the bathroom... I gave him "the look" so he changed his mind, and threw it in the trash that he then proceeded to take outside to the garage. Smart man

LOL, Caroline... yep, the word ketchup is one of our own... we have a few words that we use over time that are a bit "odd" So if you need clarification, just ask Hope you have fun at the party!

I was just beginning to wonder about you Rose Mary!! Stay warm!!! I wish I had some heat to send your way, but the roads were icy this morning... probably no help to you

Good morning, sistahs and bothers!! I just throught I'd drop in before I head off for work. Finally got all of my work caught up yesterday, went to play on the DIS and our internet went down! Turns out, it was the cable company, this time, not our servers. In any case, I was very frustrated, to say the least!! Hopefully, all will be well when I arrive at the office and I can do a proper ketchup!

Good morning everyone!

I forgot to set my alarm this morning, so I overslept by a half hour. Yikes. I was showered, dried my hair, brushed my teeth, and dressed in 30 minutes. Not bad.

Caroline, do be afraid of the nekkid ritual dance. You will be pestered and harrassed until you are publicly humiliated. I put up with the pestering for about eight months before I did my nekkid ritual dance at Jellyrolls last week--little did most of them know that I was actually behind it

Elaine, you should have done what I do when I have creepy crawlies in my house. I suck them up with the vacuum cleaner. No creepy crawlie can survive that.

Lily, have fun at your holiday lunch. I'm sure it won't be as fun as all the stuff we all did last week though

John, Welcome home! It was fun hanging out with you last week.

Elaine - how are you ever going to work for me on the roadkill line with that attitude?????

Nancy - I'm shocked. I had you pegged as a mingler. My DH is like yours, he mingles around and makes friends everywhere he goes. I beginning to dislike more and more having to go to press events. All of those new people - plus, as I get older, I hate sucking up to people!

RoseMary - ya need to slow down, girlfriend!

DD called and said she got an "A" on her Biology final. Yay! 3 finals today, and 1 on Saturday and then my Princess is home for the holidays!!!

DS has a Choir and Jazz Band Concert at the HS tonight.

Shopping is all done - now I just have to finish wrapping...... Gunny has taken about 10 ornaments off of the tree and destroyed them. He climbs up on the couch or coffee table and then stretches over to the tree.

Welp - it's deadline week and once again I am behind the 8 ball.....

Good morning Amanda! Glad all the gatherings are done with!

Karen, I often do get ready in about 30-45 mins every morning every day. I get in here at 7 so I like to sleep in I shower, dry my hair a little, and do all the rest of that stuff... and take 10 minutes out to watch the news. Don't bother eating until I get here though.
Oh and I do the vacuum cleaner... although I use about 10 feet of the extensions... and then I have to wait for Luis to come home and empty the container for me

WEnt to Macaroni Grill last night with girls (and one not so manly man) from work!! Had a great time, I think we chased the people around us away!!! Richard and I had planned to fight for our server if it was a he! Unfortunately it was a she and so neither one of us wanted her!!

Going to pick up my pictures from Sears that I was supposed to pick up a month ago!! I completely forgot about them, I think i will find Ethan a cute outfit to see Santa in. Jarrod has a special sweater he is going to wear. But I might pick him up something too.

gonna go and play some more. I need to work but uh its almost christmas, Why bother!!!

Lily...relax what is that. I plan on trying to fit in some relax time this weekend...between the Church Christmas gathering, making desserts for it and then attending my niece's birthday. All this on Saturday. I do hope to relax some on Sunday and to sleep in a bit on Saturday.

Amanda, hopefully soon you can find some time to relax. We do have Macaroni Grills here, but I am not terribly fond of them myself. Just not the best food in the world. A lot of my friends love them though (I'm very picky, might be that)
