Ooooooooo I like the DVC colors!! Pretty.

Naaaaa Elaine not a picky twit...ya just don't like change. A lot of people are like that.

I just got a vote of confidence in my house. I stopped making my homemade spagetti sauce because I thought no one liked it very much. Tonight when I used jar sauce my kids and my husband begged me to make MY (actually my mothers recipe) sauce again. I told them I would make a big ole pot of it this week for them. That made me feel so good. I was told it was a hundred times better than the sauce we had tonight and they never want anything but my sauce again. Kewl huh?

My Christmas lights are up outside the house (just net lights across the bushes) and the tree is up and the ornaments are just about on. We have enough ornaments to fill three trees! We only have one tree so it is quite full.

Still haven't down loaded my pictures yet. Ugh! Time flies when you are having fun.

I'm gonna post this now and if it doesn't work, I quit!!

Evening, all.

Nice lazy day. We watched Azkebahn, then went out for an early dinner. Neil has been bugging us to find the Harry Potter books amidst the 12 or so boxes marked "Books" in the garage. Not gonna happen, so off to Borders we went. It makes sense to have two copies of them, considering how often they do get read.

I have a feeling there's a yaya box waiting for me at the post office. I went to the PO Box last night on the way home and there was a delivery notice in the box. Since my winning Mary Poppins stuff is all coming from merry olde England, it's too soon for those to be here! I'll have an update tomorrow night for y'all.

I'm thinking there's a soak in the tub with the Sunday paper in my future. Too bad I'm not in the new house, that tub is designed to have candles all around and hold a lovely beverage, too. I'll be prunesue again!

It feels much later, guess having dinner at 4 will do that to me!

Karen, sure feels good when they beg you to cook something, doesn't it? I had that yesterday. Kevin wanted mommy macs n cheese, lol!

Dave, thanks for the info. I think Ed and the boys would love it, but Ed's not daring enough to take the kids to MK solo. A few weeks ago, he was asking when they tape the parade, too!

Bethie, you want the cold weather...you're headed in the wrong direction next week! It was 80 today. We drove around looking at Christmas lights on the way home and it's surreal-it's like everyone in Loudoun decided to put up lights in August, heehee!

Off I go, gotta get one child's nose out of the book and into bed!

Naaa... Karen, i am nit picky... I don't like that the text is in blue on the DVC forum... I'll play tomorrow and see which I think is easier on the eyes

Tara, that's impressive you got so much done with your decorations. I don't think we'll get lights up this year Can't wait to see the pics when you get around to them!

Suzanne, you have given me hope with the weather. I haven't even looked at the temps for next week. I am hoping for warmth!!!

Lily, I am going to start yanking my clothes over the next couple days as I do laundry. I only have 2 pairs of jeans that fit though, so that's why I am hoping for warm weather. The shorts don't quite fit, but they'll do.

Desperate Housewives is on now and I still have more laundry to iron. Last load I did is in the dryer, I'll deal with that tomorrow.

I am wicked excited!!!! I was reading a thread about favorite cookies and I remembered one my mom used to make that I loved but never got the recipe from her before she passed away. I did a search on a description of them and FOUND THE RECIPE!!!!! I wanted to cry when I read it because it is the exact one....or sounds like it would taste the same as the ones I remember. They are called Italian Meatball Cookies because they are round and brown...they are chocolate. I am going to try and make them. Im actually in tears because its like mom is going to be part of our christmas again. Never in a million years did I ever think I would ever have those cookies again.

Karen, glad you found the recipe. I am lucky in that our mom had put all of her recipes in one cook book. In our house it was her sugar cookies and lemon bars that we all loved (passed down for generations as well). Some day I'll have the guts to try to make them

Glad everyone had a good T'giving. I enjoyed my visit with my family and did lots of Retail Therapy. Yes, I was one of the crazies out at 6:00 at Target Fri. morning. It actually wasn't too bad. Then went to the Outlets with my sisters and spent WAY too much $$$$ on me and not enough on presents.


Elaine-Brag all you want, you look fantastic! Funny story, my sisters and I were trying on jeans and we both were able to get into a size 6, stretch jeans. Hers fit a little better than mine but, we both decided they have GOT to be marked wrong. I know I am definitely not a size 6.

Karen, you brought tears to my eyes with your Christmas cookie story. There are so many recipes I wish I would have gotten from my dad. He had a book with recipes in it but, we can't seem to find it. My mom was so mad at him for leaving her that we think she got rid of it

I am getting so excited about this weekend I can't stand it. I have so much to do and don't know how I'm gonna get it all done.
