Today is also my DD Sarah's 15th birthday. In 181 days from today, she will be eligible to get a temporary driver's license. Eeek.

My goodness!!! Thank you, thank you, one and all!!! Such a sweet surprise to see upon opening the thread this morning!! Todd even brought a band!!! WOW!!! And I know you are all waiting in breathless anticipation to hear what new sparkly Dave picked out for my birthday.......well, he pulled a fast one on me this year and got me a gorgeous black leather jacket instead!! Fits perfectly--even the sleeves are long enough!!! I am stylin' now!!!

I see retail therapy was on several to-do lists this weekend!! Wasn't it FUN??!!!! I wanna hear what Sherry got, too!! Same with Rose Mary--although I'm sure nothing was as exciting as those size 6 jeans!!

Karen, I'm soooo happy for you that you found that recipe!! The name of the cookies put me off until you mentioned they were chocolate, though In our family, we have been trying to find my mom's fudge recipe for years. I have such great memories of standing over the old dutch oven, stirring, stirring, stirring, wishing the marshmellows and chocolate would melt faster. Headache here, too......weather changed again.

'Puters speeding up any for you, Laine? Such a PITA, I know.

JRK--re: Jellyrolls possibility on Weds--we'll see how we feel after Illuminations. Us old folks can't stay up too late anymore. Besides the transportation back to SSR means bus to DtD first.

Happy Birthday Bethie!!! Sounds like a great birthday gift!!

Unfortunately I have sad news here this morning. One of my students had nothing to be thankful for this weekend. His mother died friday morning, which was also his 14th birthday! We are all just devastated for this poor boy. I can't imagine losing your mom at such a young age.

Anyway, sorry to put in some bad news this morning. I'll check back in later.

Happy Happy Birthday Bethie!!!!! What a wonderful present. I eyed one this weekend. It was the only thing I denied myself! You shouldn't have to work today! Don't they know it's your B'day!

Elaine, the jeans are Lee brand and they are at one of the stores at the outlet, I think its VFW. they also carry Vanity Fair bras & such. Lots of great casual & work clothes. I also get their stretch khakis and love them.
I'm thinking my plans for parks are something like this: Sat. MGM, Osbourne lights and then maybe catch Illuminations,DTD. Sun. Epcot with the gang, Mon. not sure, Tues evening MVMCCP & counterservcie with the gang. I'm sure I will be able to fill the empty slots somehow

My DH 'took over' my beautiful Tink coffee mug! At least I got to sample some dee-lish white chocolate hot cocoa, while paying some bills, using my ADORABLE snowman bobble-head pen, munching on a YUMMY chocolate-covered Nonni cookie..... (THANKS again, Liz!!) I can't wait to get my Christmas tree so I can include my cute little 'Tink' and bell ornaments, while wearing my APRON!!

I still have the rotten headache from heck. I can't seem to get rid of it.

Dh is having a stress test as we speak so if you could spare a few prayers or good thoughts I would be mucho appreciative. My boss is doing it so I should know about the first part of it when he gets back. I wont know what the scans say until probably tomorrow.

Tara I am so very sorry for that young boy and for you. How very very sad and tragic. You all will be in my prayers.

Sherry I wanna hear what you got also.

Beth you might try recipies.com. That's where I found the recipe I was looking for. They have tons and tons of them and you might be able to find the exact recipe or something very very close.

Well I better go eat something and then take some more meds for this headache.

My boss just came back and said that Dh did well on the first part of the stress test. He lasted 7.5 minutes which is 5 mins longer than I lasted when I had one done. Dh just came over and all the scans are done and he said it wasnt as bad as he had invisioned it to be.

Ugh I finally had to give it up and take a Vicodin ES for this headache. So far even it isn't touching it. Very near migraine strength.

Bethie, I forgot to ask, you planning on taking your new leather jacket with you to WDW? I admit I love my black leather here... covers me for a lot of weather situations.

Ahhh, Lee brands... I used to wear those a lot, Rose Mary. Then they changed styles one year and I realized I tore them apart quickly... stopped fitting right (not made for hips) and then I never went back.
Hmmm... if you want company for any of that schedule of yours, let me know. I was thinking of doing AK on Sat or Monday I think... but I really don't want to miss Osborne Lights. You still have my cell phone number, right?
