I am with ya TC. I so wish the same.

Gee I guess everyone is busy dealing with the after election blues.

Kimmar, nope. I missed that one. Sheesh! I wish I did catch him.

Evening all, finally caught up. Got a trip to Costco in a few, but figured I'd try to ketchup, although at 15 pages since my last ketchup, it's gonna be spotty.

Bethie, you've got a Steve and Barry's near you in Potomac Mills-nothing over 7.99. The last time I was in there they had a TON of Wisconsin stuff. I kick myself that I didn't go pick up the Charlie Brown tshirt they had. Ed is convinced he's Charlie Brown, and the yellow shirt would have been cute.

On a somewhat related note, in our house when things don't go your way, or we get a bad fortune cookie, we say "I got a rock". Still doesn't excuse giving them out for Halloween. I'd be one ticked mommy if I found them in my kid's bags.

JRKaren, you recouperated yet from your trip>

Those costumes were adorable-I'd have voted for Elvis, too. Jared has the same taste as Neil-who is already giving us his Christmas list

Some election-my stepdad actually went and voted this time. I pooped out at 11 this year-I usually stay up to watch the results until the wee hours of the morning. I liked the early voting option that we got here in Florida.

Okay, there just something WRONG with it being November and I'm sweating in shorts. :)

Tara, that countdown shows your trip is almost here...we should try to meet.

TC, mighty expensive fall there. A broken wrist set back a former employer about 10 grand...had to have it reconstructed and a graft from my hip.

Lainey, glad your dad is okay. I think the doctors don't think things through about withholding food/water to do a procedure sometimes. Yep, you're definitely a Belle to me.

Nancy, thanks for that pumpkin bar recipe. Those will probably be made for my store meeting.

Okay, I'm part of the weird dream club, but it's work stuff-and that music from the Boo to You parade is the soundtrack. I can't get it out of my head!

Not so Scary was lots of fun. We did go Thursday and Sunday. Thursday was much better crowd wise, but Sunday was better for the view of the fireworks and costumes. Ed and I didn't wear the costumes Thursday, but did on Sunday. It was unseasonably warm, so the Goofy costume only lasted three hours.

The Stitch ride was open. The attraction is basically the same. You go into the first holding area and watch a monitor that has the Grand Counselwoman welcoming the new security facility recruits.
The second holding area is nearly the same, the robot now has a uniform and the storyline now uses both tubes with the muppet like monster. The 'security officer' tells you a bit about level one and level two offenders, which you'll handed the level one (petty criminals). Then an alert comes through and Jumba Jukiba says they've got a level three offender and the recruits are needed.

You're ushered into the same room as mission to the moon/alien encounter. Here, Kevin expressed his typical dark ride fears, but I got him through it. As expected, Stitch is the level three, but Jumba thinks he's too cute and cuddly to be a level three. Like in the movie, stitch shorts out the guns trained on him, and power goes out. It's handled much more comedically than the previous attraction. Stitch steals a cell phone and a chili dog in the dark, then burps on you and you smell the chili dog.

Mayhem ensues and stitch at one points chants out "missed me, missed me, now you gotta kiss me". Again, while dark, the comedy lightened the mood, so I had no problems with the boys. I never would have considered taking them into the old ride.

Stitch is recaptured, of course, and now the boys are begging to go back on.

I'll post our family picture when we get it later this week.

Hi to everyone I missed...

Suzanne

Hi y'all... forgive me, I was just mentally drained today. Some local political thing really got to me, and after yesterday I was kind of pathetic today.

forgive the lack of ketchup, but I had to say I did peek in a lot today...

and Suzanne, thanks so much for the Stitch info... one month and I get to check it out.

I'm sure I'll get out of this "funk" soon... I suppose we all have "breaking points" and just a few things lead up to it today for me.

mad love to y'all and catch y'all later

Hi there Ya Yas!

Suzanne, thanks for that Stitch recap. I can't wait to get a chance at it. I liked the other one too, but didn't have babies to worry over when we went in. Mine were a bit older and liked it too.

Elaine, come out to play!
:Pinkbounc
Playing makes you feel better, really!

I'm done working for the day. I talked with DH who made it ok to Buffalo. He had to be outside for the late afternoon and early evening and said he was fffrrrrozen. It is 40º and cold. He was heading back in for a warm shower and food. At least tomorrow is indoors for him.

Hey, Lilylady!:wave2: You all are the sneaters! I thought I'd just quietly drop my post and run away. Must find some new sig meat. :o

First of all let me say OMG B00B is a bad word?? Come on now, is this kindergarten??
And secondly sorry boo boo for defacing your good name :D

Deena,
I think just lil-**** is a bad word!;)

Just wanted to send hugs all around ...married life is wonderful!! Though not that different since we had been livin' in SIN for so long.

And yes, thank heavens your Mom and my prayers were answered and you *FINALLY* became an "honest woman"!;) ;)
I bet Boston was a real zoo today with all of the media outlets, huh??

Please do not be a stranger! Come home lilboo, come home.....

I've had a busting headache all day.:(

Elaine - :( I know where you're coming from - I've been in a funk since the weekend when a situation involving one of the teachers at the HS came to light....:(

Morning all!!

JEANNIE!!!!!!!!! So good to see you pop in!! Glad that married life is treating you good. :) You could always add some bacon to your siggie. ;) :teeth:

Morning all... doing a bit better today. Rainy and dreary and that never helps :p

Jeanie-baby!!!! :love2: Love seeing you here!!! Ick, we have that icky "S" word in our forecast this weekend as well. I am hoping it warms up a little ;)

That was too funny... didn't realize that was now a bad enough word... I wonder if someone complained... next on the list will be crap  Ahem, sorry... foul mood still ;)

Lily, I hope all goes well for Ted in Buffalo. Hope it warms up for him too.

Pam  sorry about your funk as well... I hope you can get out of it soon... imagine it is hard if it is related to HS though.

Morning Sherry :)

Okay, drug induced fog is starting to wear off, so I decided to bring this up again :teeth:

Ahem... all y'all traveling to WDW...

Elaine: OKW 12/3-12/10

The only plans I have is a DVC meet on the 6th, MVMCP on the 7th and a Segway Tour on the 9th :)

Sorry to have been so scarce lately.......in a word I have been crazy busy and gifted with that lovely sickness that has been going around. I am now on round 2 of the sore throat and being all congested.! Oh goodie!!! Gonna take the day and spend it in bed!

Still waiting to hear about the job. I guess they are in the midst of having a very indepth inspection of some sort. So they have been preoccupied about getting ready for that. My friend told me to make sure I call Monday morning...so that is the plan. Rumor has it,. if this position does not get filled, they may be looking for 2 people. I guess the lady in the position now is getting pretty upset about them dragging their feet and has threatend to quit if she doesn't get some help. I am still a good contender, so I am hopeful.

Anyway, that is the news here. Sorry this is such an eieio post....but I did wnat to pop my head in and say hello!!!

So Hello to all.....and of course mad, mad, mad love to all!

BTW, John, I have you beat with hospital bills.....imagine that! Imagine your surgery plus 8 others!! I about died when I saw the price for the screws alone......$999 for 2.....I have had a total of 10....5 of which I was able to keep! So, yes it is true, I have some loose screws! :p

I should sell my "extra" screw on Ebay. I could use the money for Disney trips. ::yes::

The construction around work has been non-stop. They have been tearing up and repouring sidewalks at an astonishing clip. Unfortunately, it rained today and the rain puddles show a disturbing problem. One of the brand new sidewalks on the other side of the parking lot has a slight depression in it and it is gathering rainwater even as I type this. Anyone coming out of that door next spring is likely to hit an even larger patch of black ice. You would think that the people who are in the business of pouring sidewalks would be able to eliminate those low spots. I guess they will be tearing up the sidewalks next summer and replacing them again.

Glad to see your post Liz.
