Morning!

Just popped in to say a quick :wave2:
Heading out to buy Shrek 2 in a bit. Going to see The Incredibles after the boys get home from school. :bounce: :bounce:

:grouphug:

Your boys (and you) are going to love The Incredibles. ::yes::

Sounds like a fun filled day for you Sherry.

When is the YaYa dinner???

Gee, thanks Pam... not my fault that our IT department are that parthetic ;)

Lily, that sounds absolutely precious!!! What a cute thing to do.

Congrats on your good performance review JRKaren. I have to admit I am jealous of your raise and bonus... pipe dreams here ;) Don't let real life get in the way of fun too much though.

I do have to admit that MK on a Sat is a BAD idea!!! I know I will get to see Wishes at MVMCP as well, so I am not in a rush to go over to MK on Sat (especially since I know I will be there the day before).

Anyone who is there for a short time want to give suggestions though. Hopefully all can make it, but we may have to go with a majority rules kind of deal.

Sherry, I need to get Shrek 2 as well today. Wanted to see if Walmart had a good deal on Mulan as well.

John, I think we are working on that one. I now have the nights of 6-8th taken up... not all night for any of them, but I think I'm filling up more than I thought I would before :p

Oh speaking of food... Luis has nicely said he will skip part of the OSU game w/o complaining and Juli and Luis both agree not to bring up the game... hopefully that will make for a peaceful lunch :teeth:

Morning yayas. Popped in before I have to head out to the laundry.

Yes, my lovely washer that I bought a month ago has been broken for 10 days...Best Buy was supposed to send a tech last Tuesday, he called my cell to say he'd be there between 4 and 6. Fine, no prob, call Ed and tell him this. I leave work at 5:30 and find a message on my cell that he's running early and can get there at 3:15. Okay, so I thought that meant he'd be there early. No, he didn't show. This after they were instructed to call the house-no, they kept calling our secondary number. We rescheduled for last Thursday, but Ed had an interview-of course the guy says he'll be there at 1pm, when Ed couldn't be there.

We told him our problem and the guy ordered the part, although when I called Best Buy to follow up on it, they had no record of it being ordered-so here I am, taking my stuff to the laundromat after spending 2,000 so I wouldn't have to go to the laundromat!

JRKaren, BUY DVC!!! You won't be sorry. I wanted to for a long time and finally did it this past weekend. If you decide to do it while you're down here, the incentives are much better-better interest rate and $1,500 back since phase 2 isn't ready yet. The cost analysis I did averaging 10 nights in a studio per year over the 49 years (and average 6.50/pt maintenance) came out to 77 bucks a night.

Yay Pam, you drove through downtown Pittsburgh. Be glad she's not going to Georgetown or American University!!! DC traffic is not to be tried by the timid!

Going to Incredibles Saturday am. I think the boys will come with me to the mall, watch the movie with me and then pick me up after my store closes...just means I can't leave the mall for lunch.

Lily, yay, Ted is back...did he bring you some wings from the Anchor Bar? A beef on Weck? Can you tell I haven't had breakfast yet?

Why does it not surprise me that Tony snores?

Liz, hang in there-you'll be working in no time and wishing you had free time.

My work schedule is gonna change slightly, but currently looks like I'm off the 5th and 8th of December. I'm also off the 14th and 15th, but I think everyone will be gone by then, :( . I've also got two days off the week before Christmas that the boys are off, and I'm thinking of booking a room overnight and taking them around to see the holiday decorations.

Anywho, let me get rolling on this wash...hi to all I've missed!

Suzanne

Lily, did you say that Ted slipped you a Mickey to get you into bed? :earseek:

Yeah, yeah, I know...go back out into the woods where you belong....

Suzanne, what a pain in the neck about your washer!!! I hope they can get out there quickly for y'all!!! Oh and I totally agree... buy DVC!!!!!! It will save me in the long run (even when I throw in all the discounts I've gotten otherwise)

Alan :rotfl:
bad boy ;)

Got Mulan and Shrek 2 from Wal-mart... if I only had time to watch them all :p

Oh and I do think today Nancy is coming home... so Welcome Home Nancy!!!! Do tell all about your trip (especially Club 33) :hyper:

   Well, now - Lily, now I'm seeing you and Ted in a different light......:o :faint:

Elaine & Suzanne - DD was soooo happy I drove down to get her that she greeted me with flowers and chocolate!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Yeah, yeah, I know...go back out into the woods where you belong....

Meet at the usual place, Alan?? Don't forget your axe and skinning knife.....:smooth:

Karen - you better hope that you don't have my name, missy! Roadkill soup - and cafes........ why, I oughta.......

DVC is the way to go! We have already broken even on our purchase when you compare the rates of the 2 bdrms over our last few stays to what we paid. Our last 5 night stay at BWV would have been $3500 rack rate
Elaine nice to see you'll be joining our little party.

Chocolate??? Pammy got chocolate???
That was awfully sweet of her ::yes::

At least now I know why one of my massager cabana boys is always so tired. Pam works him so hard ;)

Deena, I have to thank you for passing my name along for it. Actually (quite shockingly) Luis was very excited about going!!

Wow!! A very quiet friday night in the spa!!

I don't know much of anything. I talked to one of my best friends tonight and found out that last week she was standing on her deck and the railing gave way and she fell probably close to 12 feet to the ground. The railing landed on her! They thought she had ruptured her spleen but tests showed she was fine. No broken bones just a lot of soreness. She decided that she was not the "flying nun!" and that she may think she is an angel, but there were no wings to hold her up!! She is home and laughing about it. Hopefully her landlord will pay for everything. He tried to imply that it was her fault because she of her weight. I told her to tell him that he is lucky she is a big girl, if she were one of those stick girls he would have been picking up a pile of sticks!

Oh drats, Ethan is screaming. I will be back later.

tara

I knew a girl who thought she was the flying nun. She kept putting on the outfit and leaping from the roof.

After a particularly hard landing she finally broke the habit. ;)

Henny Youngman couldn't make it so I'm filling in

Definitely was a quiet day here...

out to do some things this morning hopefully all in time for lunch.

Tara, glad your friend didn't get hurt!! What a wonderful landord!

Alan, sweets, don't quit your day job ;)

Pam... I totally understand that.

see y'all later

Morning Ya Yas!
It is certainly is a quiet place these days. What's up with that?

Alan, You ARE a bad boy. I told DH Ted what you said about Mickey. He likes the way you think.

Tara, what a story. Your friend is lucky then that she is only sore.

Pam, what a sweet DD. You taught her well.

Suzanne, that just is so bad about the new washer. I usually take my Mom's comforter to the laundromat and get to read a book while I wait so I don't mind too much. If it were my NEW washer to cause me to be at the laundromat, I am certain to not be a nice person. I hope it gets resolved soon.

JRKaren, you will be glad you bought DVC. Good luck in getting that resale. I can't wait to hear you got it.

It was nice to have my Teddy next to me last night instead of stuffed Mickey. I slept better. DH is working today. I am not certain exactly what I want to start. I guess it will be the coffee. I haven't yet had my cuppa. Off I go lalalalala.

Morning Everyone

Still nursing this bronchitis but feeling okay. Hopefully I am on the mend.

Could ya'll think some good thoughts this morning. Both my boys tried out for parts in the Christmas Choir Pagent and they find out today if they got the parts they wanted. Trying out was a VERY big step for my youngest as he is very introverted and shy. If he gets the part he would be doing a singing solo. My eldest tried out for the lead, Michael the Arc Angel. I don't know who is more nervous about it me or them. LOL!!!

Tara I am SO glad to hear that your friend is okay. How scary!! How horrible of that landlord to blame her size though.

I found out yesterday that we could have easily lost my eldest ds's teacher. She was driving home the night before when her gas tank sprung a leak. She stopped at the nearest gas station who told her had she driven any more than she did the car could have BLOWN UP!!! I am so very very thankful that her guardian angel was with her and she stopped when she did. She is a very very awesome lady and it would have been horrible had something happened to her. She is very very much loved at that school and by my son. She, in fact, made Teacher of the Year this year.

Well off to get two kidlets dressed for choir. See ya'll when we get back!

:wave2: I'M BACK!!
Had the best time!!

No ketchup yet.....lots and lots of things to get done.
I will be back later ::yes::

Yay, Nancy's back in town - oooooooohhhhhhh - Nancy's back in town!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :hyper:

DETAILS, DETAILS, WE WANT DETAILS!!::yes:: ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

Welcome Home Nancy!!!! Details we want details!!!

We are back from choir. My eldest did not get the part of Michael but the boy who did get it really did do a better read than my son did. My eldest got the part of Gabriel which is still a pretty big part. My youngest did not get the singing solo. The director thought he wasn't ready yet and I have to agree. He may get a non speaking part as a king or a shepherd though which would be good for him. Both boys understood and were very okay with the way things worked out. No upset kiddies. We were very adamant this morning on whatever happened what mattered was the message they were conveying to the audience and thats what they should be concerned with not what part they did or didnt get.

My eldest is also doing a part in tomorrow's Kidz Church. Its a very powerful skit and I am so very proud of him. He will play a child praying to God and it is a very very moving part. There are three different views of God and my dh plays the one we know of as God. The other two are played by other leaders and are not what we think of as God one is uninterested and one is the give you everything you want. Its an interesting skit that will make the kids think of how they view God. The three views will be played offstage with just a mic so it should come off pretty kewl. My dh once did Jesus this way and you have never seen kids get so quiet and listen as intently as they did that day. One little one even said....ITS GOD I WANNA SEE GOD!!! The wonder in their eyes that day was awesome. They really got the point of what we were trying to teach them.

Welp off to make lunch and relax a bit.
