Booking The Beak & Barrel Aug. 20th at 7pm EST!!

I think it's pretty well documented in this thread that when you got in was random. Many people tried on different devices with different accounts and browsers at different times. People got in when they got in, you were lucky to do so right away, though the system did remember people so since you had gotten the BTMR page technically your account was in the queue at 6:30.
Saw on another forum, not sure if it's accurate, but they said that people who joined between 6:30 and 7:00 were let in randomly, and those who joined the VQ from 7:00 on got in in the order they joined. It seemed random on my devices, my laptop got in first at 7:12, and my cell didn't get in until about 7:30, both joined at 6:31.

Will there be soft openings for opening week?
I would certainly swing by if I was going to be there day before or a couple days before. You never know. I’d also watch social media as it will take about 10 mins to get out if it’s soft opening.

Even tho I logged out & back in?
Once you were in, you were in. There was probably something in your cookies that said you were already cleared for entry. And as you read we all tried and no one found success. For once you actually won the Disney IT lottery lol.

I had 5 different queues between browsers and 2 devices joined between 6:30-7. Every queue hit in order I joined. So, looks like random for some, not for others. #DisneyIT

FYI, if you were able to book more than one date, shaddup about it.

Those of us who failed to get a reservation at all will not have any admiration for your rad booking skills when you brag about “getting all your dates” like the @ssh@t on FB who was seemingly surprised that people were calling him selfish.

Many people, like me, seem to have been unsuccessful for any of the days of their upcoming trips. I am hoping cancellations start to show up once the bookers (and bloggers) with excess reservations finalize their plans.

Will continue to stalk for our late September trip, and try again when ADR day comes for our December trip. Ah well.

It would be nice if Disney notified those with multiple booking that they need to choose ONE and the rest will be deleted.

I was one of the people who couldn't resist refreshing, since nothing seemed to be happening. Luckily, I was still able to get in (probably around 7:15ish) and get one of the last remaining spots for Labor Day weekend. I was hoping that I'd get the 31st, as that was going to be easier for our schedule, but I'll take what I got. It's going to be a bit of a dash for us to get to our dinner reservation at Epcot afterwards. What I'm naively hoping for is that they hold to reservation times.

Does anyone know how the seating will work here? Will it be like Geo-82 where you get your own table or like Oga's where you share a table and/or share standing space? Just wondering if we may have to stand.

yeah I joined the queue at 6:55, and got in to make reservations at like 7:25. Based on reports I feel I got in sooner than some people that joined the queue at 6:30.

Dont think anyone will know for sure until it opens, but if I had to bet I would definitely expect there to be standing space similar to Oga's. I imagine they are going to want to pack people in as much as possible.

Well count me towards the group that didnt get a reservation. Logged in around 6:53 on both my phone and laptop and got through the queue around 7:30 or after but only had 1 day this trip we could go and it was fully booked no matter how many I entered for the party size (well I could have booked with 1 but I was trying for 6 so didn't want to abandon everyone else!). Oh well, will try again on a future trip!

I noticed that the booking page for Oga’s mentions the possibility of standing or sharing tables. I don’t see that mentioned on the Beak and Barrel booking page. Not sure if that means anything though.

I'll have to try again for future trips - I'm there regularly enough that I can just keep trying every 3 months or so. My next trip after September is early December, so I'll try for that trip - then I've got a February trip after that...and a June, and so on.

Now I've REALLY lowered my expectations - not only may I not get any reservations, but if I see available times, I'm going to expect that they won't really be available when I click on them. And I'll expect that if I refresh, the available days and times will disappear and reappear randomly. I'll even expect that if I actually make a reservation, it will get canceled a few minutes later. That way, there's NO WAY I can possibly be disappointed!

Not me. In the queue right at 6:30 on the dot and in the reservation system at 7:07.

I did refresh at 330 on the dot and was given the queue link. When someone here posted times were in the app, I was confused but went with it, opened another tab in Firefox and used the direct link I have had copied, my booking email arrived at 4pm on the dot.
Just reiterating how I managed to get a reservation—I’m not really sure how it happened upon reflection but what I wrote above is exactly what happened. I’m not sure if I just had a top queue spot and I managed to get in when I was supposed to or if I got pixie dusted by wonky IT. I never got in through my phone browser queue, which I joined essentially at the same time as my laptop—I was only ever able to see open reservations on my laptop Firefox browser.

I guess this will be the trader sam's of WDW in terms of difficulty to reserve. Everytime I tried reserving TS at DL it literally instantly would be booked and I couldn't hesitate with any time selections.
