Hello everyone!

No time for a ketchup, just a few things here.

Had another delay on my DSL. I am not happy. Now they are estimating that I'll get it next Tuesday. I've had the modem for two weeks now, and I can't use it. I'm not happy about that.

Tara, I'm still around. Just busy. There is so much dirty snow ice here it's not even funny, but at least it's warmer--in the mid-30's the past couple of days. Look below to see when I go to Texas And I don't think Beth will ever get out of the doghouse. How can I forget about the day she wished for snow and 73 inches of snow fell in Boston?

Vent....I'm half way done painting the room....step in 2 more pee spots so far! I'm thinking new carpet is in order (there goes any chance of a new computer) and keeping that door closed. I hate closing up so much of the house, but ..... I'm tired of shampooing so much. The carpet looks and feels terrible from it all.
Vent over......down to make those cookies, watch some soaps and then back to painting.

Enough already!! I will PM everyone who wants to know what snowball means - but you will be shocked and slightly and and and

Funny story - Gunny had been really,really bad yesterday because his family was out of wack - totally in destructive mode...... I kept telling him that when "Daddy" got home, he was going to be in BIG TROUBLE.

So ---- DH gets home at 10:30 pm. Now usually Gunny hears the truck pull in the driveway and he runs to the door - running in circles and crying loud barks of joy. Not this time. He ran to his bed and stuck his face in his paws. DH walks in - Gunny slunks down even further. DH gets really distressed and asks why Gunny isn't greeting him. I'm puzzled at first and then start to laugh. I relate my earlier conversation with Gunny to DH. DH then has to get on the floor and tell Gunny that he loves him and that he [Gunny] isn't in trouble. Gunny then jumps up and kisses DH and rips around the house.

The paperwork purge is going well-now I just have to let Kevin have fun with the shredder! I found stuff from '99!

Tara, I've been there...kinda nice that I moved away from some of that drama.

Ended up watching the '98 Parent Trap last night. Very cute. For a guy with hair, Dennis Quaid is really cute!

I called today to get info on the trip to WDW I have in my siggie!!

I'm looking at the package with the meal option. I want to go right now!! Wah!! I don't want to wait!! Oh well, I guess money is a necessary evil . We will probably arrive on Friday the 25th and stay until the following sunday. I want to be able to take the boys to MVMCP this year!!

I am soooooooooooooooo bored today. I can't even plan to do anything b/c my one self contained kid has been out 10 days now so I have stuff that has been sitting around waiting for 10 days! oh well!! Gives me more time to dis!! But of course everyone else has things to do!!

Jarrod saw it on Playhouse Disney the other night so for the next 2 days he wanted everything in 100s. "How many fish sticks do you want?" "Um, I fink I want a hundred" "Well that is quite a lot, how 'bout we try 12?" "that's good too" That kid is too much.

Pam...if it is any consolation both my boys peed on the floor when they were small babies! Of course it was my fault...forgetting that those things tend to go off very easily!! hehehe

Also, I meant to tell you the other day about the cake thing...my tag is about buying a cake the next time b/c the last time I baked a cake I left Jarrod alone too long and he painted the bathroom walls with his finger paints!!! So I gave up onthe real thing!! ehheehhe

Tonight is Team Kid. I just know the director is gonna corner me tonight. I really don't want to talk to her with others around....

Karen, the simple solution to that is just don't go! You have already stated your position and your need to avoid the stress, stick to your guns and don't let them try to change your mind. If it is so important to the boys that they be involved in this, let your DH drop them off and then come back and pick them up! Same thing with Kid's Church, choir, VBS and bball, etc. Just because the kids are participating, doesn't mean you and your DH have to be there every minute, too. Maybe you could work things out so that while the boys are at Team Kid or bball practice, you and DH could do the weekly grocery shopping or something. Or let DH do the shopping while you stay home and have a luxurious soak in the tub! I have a feeling the less you "hang out" at the kids' activities, the less you will be asked to be involved.

Deena, I'm so sorry your guys are still sick! Are you and the rest of the family managing to avoid contamination?! Stay well!!

A belated Happy Birthday to Jordan, too! Sherry, you musn't let yourself feel old!! Why, you still have all the kids at home!! Old is when they are all grown and LONG gone!! Hey All,

Decided to take the afternoon off from work. I was wicked tired and I needed to get some things done. I went to my regular doctor to discuss the stress Im under and how it is affecting my quitting smoking and about what happened with the pulmonologist. He thought it was rediculous that the test was going to take that long to get scheduled and for the results to get back so he suggested another place to have it done. He suggested I call my insurance and ask if this place was on it and call and schedule the test myself. Well I did just that and I am now set up for a sleep test on Monday the 7th....yep next Monday.....AND it only takes a week to get the results back to the doctor. I took the bull by the horns and did it myself. I don't think the pulmonologist is going to be happy but oh well. He I "think" did mention this place yesterday soooooooooooo. More than most likely the test will be done and the results back before the original place even calls me to schedule me LOL. My doc did put me on something for the stress but nothing habit forming which is wonderful. He also said to take it at night as it might help me to sleep a little better. So as bad as yesterday looked today looks brighter and better.

I emailed the director and told her exactly what Im going through and why my spark and joy arent there right now. I think she finally understood. I will be going tonight because after I finish this post Im going to go lay down and get some rest before the family comes home and we have to go to Team Kid. Dh and I will sit and talk about commitments etc.... tonight after the kids go to bed.

Oooooooo Tara upset the apple carrrrrrrrt. Bad girl ROFL. Dont let them get to you they will get over themselves.

Deena Im sorry so many of you are so sick. Poor kiddo. I hope you arent coming down with it too.

Stormy.....#1 fur kid, sleeps in the basment at night (with the door closed) to ease the nightime frivolity. Anyway he considers that his room, so whenever he is bad, and I yell at him, he runs right down there for a time out. Gotta love them!!

Lily....can't wait for Taffy to leave us (not that I want her to...she is MY baby), she still has 10 or more years left. The carpet....ack hate to think what it would be like by then.
We are getting new carpet. Mid grade. Picking it out this weekend. Then the door to that room will just stay closed. Now I fear with freshly painted walls and new carpet, the furniture from the basement just won't cut it Never ending cycle.
I am hoping to snag the next extra money for a computer.....we'll see. Depends on the next tool Dave has on his list.

Tara......well, let Jarrod finger paint with you in the kitchen. Pudding is great finger paint, so is cake batter......
Yay for the counter I hope to have one in a few weeks.....gotta get this summer's trips planned first....if I ever have time.

Tara, I may be going to Disney November 27 thorough December 4th. Not set in stone yet, but I do have a room reserved at the Boardwalk for that time.

Todd, I'm on AOL, so DSL is only about $6 more a month. I can swing that. I couldn't justify bumping up to cable, though. That's like $18 more a month!

As I am walking in the door I am pondering cluelessly what could someone be sending me in that shape? Duh. I realize who sent it so I figure it was safe to check. What a thoughtful thing to do.

Cable fixed without someone showing up. DH took off from work and waited, and waited. The time passes and he calls cable company. Someone canceled the order! DH was not happy. Apparently they found a problem along the way, canceled the house call and never bothered to call. Bad cable company.
