Afternoon, all!

I caved-went and bought the laptop-it'll be delivered Friday. Ended up with a slightly better one from Staples, bigger hard drive, more RAM, better video card. Ed was talking me into it, rather than out of it. I think he was going to push me towards it with the tax refund, anyway. They had a really good sale, too, so it's not a surprise that they were sold out of the advertised one. While we were waiting for them to check stock, this other guy who was buying one said he'd just bought one online for work for 300 bucks more-now he's buying one for himself.

Karen, I'm not a church goer but am pretty spiritual. The way I see it is that God sees your actions and deeds and it doesn't matter if you are in "His" building-it's what's in your heart that matters. Please don't burn yourself out.
I think taking a step back, no Team Kid, no Bible Study group (but personal study's fine). Recharge your spiritual self-you don't need the church to do that!

Tara, I bought it, lol, I don't have to save money for twice a year WDW trips now! And we've only got a California trip on deck! Bowling league was full of married couples when I was in it. Not fun for the singles, that's for sure.

Paula, glad the cars are the only things with boo boos.

Sherry, the bright spot of two teenagers is that two are closer to moving out! That's the way I feel some days, although Kevin makes me want him to stay home forever lately.

Okay, gotta go look for that game that Neil misplaced and is flipping out over. Pssst, don't tell him mommy's new laptop is really fast, otherwise he'll scoff at the old one!

Paula - that stinks at how your DD's friend is trying to manipulate the situation.

Son is feeling better - but the dog has been a brat all day - DH has been out of town on business, DD is down at college and the dog gets all wacky when his family life is disturbed. He keeps getting my UGG boots out of the closet and trying to chew them, he unraveled a roll of toliet paper in the bathroom, try to eat a computer disk, took a stuffed animal off of a shelf, tormented the poor cat, and now is skulking around with a package of shoe laces.

Nancy - did you see Phantom of the Opera yet? DD and I hope to do that when she comes home for the weekend.

Nancy - ACK! Hate animal pee!

Gunny had an accident around 2:00 am on Sunday morning. He yipped that he had to go to the bathroom - and by the time I woke up and figured out that the poor little guy had to go - he couldn't hold it any longer and had gone by the back door. He was really ashamed and I had to reassure him that it wasn't his fault - one of the guys should have taken him out around 10:00 pm.

DD went to see Hide and Seek last Friday. She liked it. I will not watch scary movies!!!! I am a big scaredy-cat

Has anyone been watching the news or entertainment programs today? The blurb about the college students at sea and being caught in those storms?? That's the ship from DD's college - Pitt.

Hey All,

Well Im no closer to an answer to my sleeping problems now than before I went to the doctors. He said I have to have a sleep study done....a real one. Well they are now scheduling them in MARCH. They called and told them that I was a STAT and to see what they could do about getting me in sooner. He will do nothing until that test comes back which means I have up until the test is done to wait and then THREE WEEKS after the test is done to wait until the test results come back. Im so disgusted and upset I could just cry. I just want to crawl in a hole somewhere and not come out.

Dh and I haven't had the chance to sit down and talk about church. Im going to have to email the director with anything I need to say to her because talking to her is like trying to talk to a moth at a flame. She is never really listening to you and you have to talk in between her doing things or going somewhere etc.. This is too serious to me to try and talk about it that way. I know I have to do something, what I don't quite know yet.

All I know is Im running on fumes and it's not gonna be long before those run out and I'm gonna end up crashing from exhaustion or getting sick again. Neither of which I want to happen. I kinda feel like a car headed toward a brick wall with failing breaks.

Sorry to be such a whiney downer. Im just kinda at the end of my rope and someone greased the darned thing.

Evening, all.

Kinda quiet around here...Ed's been dozing off on the couch, kids are in bed. I'm thinking of trying a soak in the tub. The steri strips have caused a nasty reacton on my legs, but I don't want to take them off...thinking if they fall off when I'm soaking, I'll be better off. Darn adhesives!

Took no pain killers today, just the swollen ankle giving me grief right now-so I'd say I'm doing pretty good.

Pam's colorful name calling sounds like me, lol...and I don't switch it out for the saltier stuff, either! Our big excitement is when a friend's pc had a speech chip in it, I was on the phone with the wife while Ed was IMing the husband, He typed in "Doodyhead" and that was all she wrote. Kept typing it in and we all were having giggle fits!

It feels much later than it is. I'm packing it in pretty early, lol!

Suzanne Im sorry the adhesive is doing a number on your legs. I can sympathize. Same thing happens to me. A long soak in the tub may do you good in more ways than one. Might also ease the pain as well as soak off the steri-strips. Congrats on the new laptop!!! I betcha can't wait until Friday. I'm excited for you.

It would have been nice to have that laptop BEFORE I go back to work, but that's okay. The idea that both of us can surf the net at the same time makes me happy. We're goofballs, we'll IM each other when we're in the same room!

Off to soak, just wish I had a book to read...I've read everything I bought for the time off!
