Hi y'all... making this quick so I can get ready for church.

Tara, glad you survived the dance... too funny about the one boy & his friends. Glad you had a good dinner out with Jarrod!

Dang it, Pammy won't forget! And I'd take you on the cruise, but I'm not sure Luis would be too happy sharing such a small room with another person  ;)

Yay!!! Deena gets a cold front!!!! Sorry, we woke up to -2 here today :p Stay warm though!

Suzanne, sounds like a fun day! I imagine it would be cool to see. And love the topper!

Liz, glad that y'all made it safely! We went out due to a birthday as well, but were lucky with our weather. Take it easy today!

Aww, Stacy how sweet! I really need to watch the movie (did read the book though)

YAY for WMCorey!!!

Karen, if I hit you on the head, it would hurt too much the next morning. Hope you got some sleep

JRKaren, sounds like a ton of snow. I hope it won't amount to what they thought it would. I know here the 2nd wave kind of fizzled to nearly nothing.

LOL, Rose Mary... just love it when you stop in! Good luck cleaning!

Out of time... catch y'all later :)

Just a quick good morning. Gotta jump in the shower and get ready for church. Have a friend's baby shower to go to after church, too.

Didn't get anymore snow overnight. YAY. The sun is actually out right now, but it is bitter cold.

I guess I'm going to be in time out for the rest of my life!!!!

Tara, ya better watch out, cuz the sistahs are gonna come after you if you wish for snow!!

Off to see if I can make it up the hill to church and pray for a quick thaw

Its okay Bethie I'll pelt them with snowballs when they try to come over for the lynching :p
I have already tried 2 times for a small ketchup and Michaels comp keeps freaking out while Im posting so this will be short.
I love the Valentine antenna topper! It is to cute. I think its going to be a lazy day here.

:wave2:

Headed out again soon :(

Just wanted to say hello and tell everyone to stay safe and keep warm.
Beth  I thank you for pulling that cold and snow over to the other side :teeth:
We are int the nice balmy 50s now and have been for almost a week. Love it!

New topper :hyper: CUTE!!! Add that to my list....whoever goes next.

Thank you to Elaine for enough confetti to fill all YAYA CARDS for the next year or two....so when they arrive with lots of extra confetti, you know who to thank (or blame).

sorry, so EOIP again :(

Bethie....do you have ANY idea what a quick thaw does to TWO FEET of snow? :earseek:

Morning all!

Nancy and Liz, Gotcha covered...I picked up six of those cuties! Now that I don't work for WDC, I'm thinking I will pick up and ebay whatever I don't get for my friends, lol!

So, I got the email back from my old college and according to their records, I needed 12 credits for my degree. The advisor was great, she listed what I needed, and it ends up that I already took nine of them...so for the past ten years, all I needed was one lousy math class!!! I already faxed the school in Maryland to send the transcript that they neglected to ten years ago! Color me stupid! Anyway, I asked if I can take a CLEP exam for that one math class...woo hoo!

The last drop of eggnog just went into my coffee, wah. No more eggnog coffee until November.

Nancy, I saw some really cute heart confetti in Hallmark the other day and thought of you! Thought it was kinda pricey for the little bit in the bag, but it was adorable. I learned my lesson, if I get a card from Nancy, OPEN CAREFULLY, lol!

Guess I need to get some cleaing done before heading to mom's. She's making pot roast, yummy. It's funny, I always was on the phone with mom a couple of times a week-now that I live here, she's asking "When's your day off?". Good clue that she wants us to visit, lol!

Hopefully, the shoveling is going well. I think that leaving behind all our snow gear probably made the new homeowner happy-she'd moved there after living in apartments, so no shovels in her past.

TTFN

Suzanne

ELAINE!!
You didn't give Nancy MORE confetti!?! :faint: I swear some of the Christmas confetti is still embedded in Gunny's fur!! ;)

Liz - two feet of snow? EEK!

Beth - you can still stay in that corner - but since you're up, I'll take a sandwich, a Pepsi and a banana split!

Suzanne - that was sweet of you to leave the snowshovel behind! Only 1 Math class left??? WooHoo!!!! :jumping4:

I hate snow. I hate snow. I hate snow.

Beth, I know your plan here. You are using that snow to hide while you stalk me. I'll be watching for you. You better have a shovel, and you better be shovelling my walk.

JellyrollsKaren

Gack!!! Nancy told on me

:p

Sherry, I hope you had a good time at the shower this afternoon :)

Awww Bethie, no worries... this wasn't too bad! At least I didn't have to worry about going to and from work. Oh and no real ice here either!

Deena, enjoy the lazy day

Suzanne, that is great news!!!! Good luck finishing it all up!

Well I have a friend coming over sometime and then I'll head to my Dad's for a while I think. We have some things we want to exchange :)

yippee we have a few flakes outside... Our weather casters are going to be getting pelted with some oranges!! It is cold as a well diggers bottom side here!!

I'm going to a pampered chef party tonight with my old TDS crew!! I'm so excited! I don't buy anything I just go to eat!!!

Gotta run and cross stitch some before I go!
hugs,
tara

Don't anybody faint, I'm posting twice in one day :flower1: .

Anybody watching football? I'm hoping the Eagles win. You all do realize the Super Bowl is HERE, where I LIVE, in just a couple weeks. :earseek: If I could I would leave town for the week. It's gonna be crazy around here

Tara-enjoy your PC party. Love eating at those parties!!
JRKaren- I didn't know you didn't like snow.
ELAINE!!!! What in the world were you thinking??? Nancy+Confetti=?????
OH Hi Nancy, Enjoy your outting today :D

Ok, the diet thing is NOT going well here. I mean I have been good for the past week following South Beach but, I'm not noticing any loosening of the old clothes, ya know what I mean? Matter of fact I feel more bloated than ever and I have been drinking tons of water. The only thing I can figure is that it must be one of these supplements I have been taking. Anybody heard of the Perricone Prescription? He was on Dr Phil not too long ago. He has this body & face rejuvenating program and recommends all these supplements to help you look younger  . Well, I don't want to look younger and fatter!?!? So, somethings gotta go.

Well, back to more football. Hope everyone is keeping warm!

:grouphug: puckerup: :rose:

Good evening, everyone!

I just finished up the shovelling. My brother did the bulk of it with the snow blower, but I went out and hand shovelled for two hours. I had to walk through knee deep snow at one point. Not fun.

Beth, next time you want snow, buy a snow globe ;)

JellyrollsKaren

Hi everyone!!

What a day we had yesterday - DH decided that we could "beat the storm" so we did go to Albany - @ 3 hr ride. It was 10 degrees below zero when we got up at 7:30am and 5 degrees below zero when we arrived at SUNY. The tour was great - when we exited the last building it had just started to snow....alot - fast.....yikes!! This was around 2:30 - we were starving but decided to get home as quickly as possible - thank god DH drove his truck with 4WD - so it was just a quick stop for snacks and gas and were were on the road. the roads wer nasty but we made it home safetely. The best part - when we arrived home DD's acceptance letter from Albany was in the mail so I guess that made it worth the trip!! She has been acepted to 2 colleges now - just has to make her decision.

We have about 23 inches of snow - our Governor has declared a "state of emergency" - all municipal offices and schools closed tomorrow.

I work from home so I was able to work today and not sure if my company will be open tomorrow - we are a 24hr service company so if the office is closed I'll be working alot of hours from home again tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone in the snow.....

Love that new topper!!

:wave2:

EGADS!!!! Y'all leave poor Bethie alone....I was wishing for the snow too...just didn't get it  Bethie  You can come down here and hang out with me till they thaw ;)

No way I'm doing a ketchup....but it's looks as though you're all mouthy as usual. Pam that sure is a lot of  faces out of you. now turn that frown upside down!!! Tara have fun at the Pampered Chef party tonight. Liz happy belated b-day to Greg. Elaine, Nancy, Sherry, JRKaren, Lily, Stacy, Carolina, Rose Mary, Suzanne, Deena, Paula and anyone I accidentally missed.

Now I have a question for all the scrapbookers in here...do you have the BAB scrapbooking apron for your kids?? I just found out about Friday night at the scrapping event. I'm going to the mall in search of it tomorrow!! :) :)

back to being lazy and eating nothing but junk food :earseek:

Anybody watching football? I'm hoping the Eagles win. You all do realize the Super Bowl is HERE, where I LIVE, in just a couple weeks.

Rose Mary - I have exciting news - I just receivd a news release from Build-A-Bear, followed up by a phone call from the PR lady from the corporate office in St. Louis - BaB is introducing their new BaB Workshop on Wheels the week leading up to the Super Bowl. It's an 18 wheeler with the shop inside the trailer. It will be at the Super Bowl and you can make a BaB and dress it in NFL clothing! How cool is that?! :cool1:

Kristy - don't have the BaB scrapbook apron - but I did buy BaB scrapbook paper at the LSS last week! :teeth:

Paula - congrats to your DD! And wowzers - talk about snow!

Yeah - Beth, Tara, & Kristy - what JRKaren said - buy a freakin' snowglobe! ;)

Kristy - I like being !!

Tara - have fun at the Pampered Chef party.

Liz - go back and read your reply to me on the snowblowing thread! :rotfl: I almost died laughing at how you worded that!!! :rotfl:

My back is killing me so I don't feel like posting much... hope y'all understand :)

Sorry about the confetti again... would it make y'all feel better to know that the outer envelope was stuffed with TONS of confetti that hopefully made a huge mess? :teeth:

No?

Oh well :p

Pam, you are in rare form today ;)

Wow!!! A 2nd Rose Mary posting!!! Make that more of a habit ;)

LOL JRKaren, I like your thought to Bethie there :teeth:

Paula, that is a lot of snow!!! We had something liek that 2 years ago... a huge mess!

Kristy hope you had a good lazy day.

Off to lay down to see if I can get htis feeling better.

Elaine- feel better soon.
KRISTY PUT DOWN THAT JUNK FOOD! LOL!

ROFLMAO-Buy a snowglobe, LOL. snerk, snork.................Hahaha.

:grouphug: puckerup: :rose:

Hey everyone,

Finally got a nap in this afternoon. I was one tired puppy.

Remember that kid at kids church that we had a problem with a several weeks ago which caused us to resign and then reconsider. Wellllllllllllll they finally got fed up today and lo and behold everything we said should have been done WEEKS ago is now in the works. Dontcha love it when you are not listened to and then suddenly its a good idea because someone else suggested it???? Im not a happy campy right now. I think to a degree....I know I am....not sure about dh......but I think Im just burning out. We do soooooooooo much and are involved in so many things that I think I've just kinda hit the wall and things are begining to bug me a lot. Not being listened to or summaraly dismissed when I try to discuss something important is really getting on my nerves a lot. Im no child. Im 42 so darned well TREAT ME THAT WAY!!!! Heck I'm older than they are! Sorry I just needed to vent. Im hurting right now a lot over this. We have decided that we are NOT doing VBS this year. I know they will try their hardest to talk us into it but we need a break. Dh actually wants to take the whole month of August off from church and anything to do with church. School starts here on the 8th of August and it's going to be a very very big adjustment for all of us as Ping will be starting middle school, taking a bus, and also getting used to all that this international baccaulauret school requires should he get in which we are almost sure he will. We are also not sure whether we will continue with Team Kid. Both dh and I are assistant administrators. Ping will no longer be in Team Kid because he will have to go to youth due to age. Pong will still be of an age to be in it. Just looking at the homework that was listed on the boards when we viewed the school Ping will be going to showed me he is going to have a ton of it and may not even be able to do youth. One of us will have to stay home with him because he is not of an age to be left alone yet. Pong kinda likes Team Kid but I don't think he gets a lot out of it. Not sure if dh will want to continue with it at all and help out accordingly. Im the homework monitor of the house so it would be me staying home with Ping. Dh would have to be the one to stay on and help if Pong decided he still wants to do it. Im sorry this is such a long vent Im just confused and really could use some advice.

RM it's soooooooooo good to see you!!!! I have missed you lots girlie!!!! I have an idea. Come to my neck of the woods when the Superbowl gets there. We could get a hotel down by the beach and sip margaritas. LOL I think we could both use the break!!!

Karen Im glad your brother got out there to help you. I was so so so worried you were going to try to do it alone. I am really sorry you are getting all that snow. Will you be able to get to work tomorrow or can you work from home? I worry about you driving in that stuff. I know you are a good driver it's the other nuts on the road I worry about. I've seen Boston drivers and they are wicked aggressive drivers. Can you take the trolley and or subway? Are the Trolleys running

Tara have fun at the Pampered Chef party. I have a few of their things and love them. I get a ton of use from the microwave saucepans that I got from them. My SIL turned me on to them when we went there for the hurricane. I don't use the stonewear as much as I could. There are things I will not make in it and fish is one. Because you cant put it in the dishwasher or scrub it with soap I just dont think you could get the fishy smell out of there. That and I have become the crockpot maven recently LOL.

Kristy how sweet of you to offer Beth safe haven. LOL I think she's gonna need it if this weather keeps ups. We are even begining to get nasty weather from this. It's supposed to go down to 40 tonight with a windchill factor of 30. For us that is downright cold.

Elaine!!!! Bad girl for giving Nancy more ammo ROFL!!!!! I had forgotten to open her cards carefully and ended up with confetti all over the place at Christmas ROFL!!! The kids thought it was a scream ROFL!!!

Speaking of kids. I better go make their beds so they can to go sleep tonight. Right now Ping is madder than hades at me because Im making him do the report that's due on Friday. He still has a puppet to make for this report and I want most of it done by tonight so that we have this week....inbetween extracurricular activities.....to get the puppet done. LOL he has to do a puppet of Harry Truman!!! This should be interesting LOL.
