Hey all,

Well the first day is going....thats about all I can say about it. Ive been cranky and crabby all day. I did get to see both my boys play basketball and they both did extremely well. They really hustled out there. My eldest even made a basket!!!! I am so proud of both of them. My youngest got the BEST EFFORT star and my eldest got the BEST OFFENSE star. Neither can wait for dh to iron them on their jerseys. They love to wear their stars proudly. We have six more weeks of double BBall games on Saturday.....I may never make it ROFL!!!! Seems we live at church lately. We are there Tuesday Night, Wednesday Night, Thursday Night, Twice on Saturday both morning and night, and Kids Church on Sunday.

Sherry that bear is just toooooooooooo cute!!! I have to get the Spiderman outfit for my youngests Bear. He will love that to pieces.

OMG Karen that is a ton of snow!!! Please be careful and stay warm. Dont venture out unless you absoultely have to.

Elaine THANK YOU for making my snow angel for me!!!!! I love it that you did that. That was so sweet of you!!!! Please be careful running errands in that snow okay??

Bethie Bethie Bethie. Now see what ya did wishing for snow?? I am glad you are getting some. I know how much you love it. Would you make a snow angel for me too?? I hope and pray that Dave can get home tonight. Can I come over for Chili and apple pie??? YUM!!!!! I can never make chili because the boys dont like it. I might try it again and see if their tastes have changed. Will keep the PBJ handy though LOL. Heck though they eat Chombot and they eat my spagetti sauce so they really should eat chili if I dont spice it up too much.

Kimmie our weather is like yours, sun comes up, goes down, rarely it rains BUT we do get into the 40's every so often like we did at the end of this week. For us thats COLD. I know I know Im a weather wimp. Blame it on living here for over 30 years.

I keep thinking about that poor kitty. I know I did the right thing but it just hurts so much that they wont try to save it. If I had the money I would have taken it to our vet but money is very very tight right now. Thanks for saying I have a kind heart. I just couldnt let that poor baby be alone in that condition. I also couldnt believe that people were just driving by and not even coming to help or even paying attention to the fact that there was a hurt animal there. People can be so callous sometimes.

Welp gotta go eat dinner. We are eating so late due to Pings bball game and having to stop and pick up prescriptions afterward. Im starved!!! I will be back laters.

sooooooo far we have about 7 inches and we are expecting 1-3 more over night and then another 2-4 for tomorrow!!!

Hey our cops gave us all notices too, no parking on my side of the street, so 2 cars in the driveway and poor hubby had to park down the street in the church parking lot..

as for my scrapbook/snailmail swapping group, we do very well. we make sure we post when sending and post when received and the girls are very honest. we did have a flaker or two but they were Booted from the group and then we have REALLY awesome women who "angel" the swap.

ok i am off once again, it is tea and cookie time with DH...thanks everyone and stay warm!!!

"Ooooh, ooooh Teacher," Pam excitedly waves her hand in the air and bounces up and down in her chair, "that would be Beth. Beth asked for all the snow. This is *ALL* her fault!!!"

We got 5" of snow today and are supposed to get around 3" more tonight. I don't know how much snow we had before this storm - but there's a lot of white stuff out there. They were calling for 12-17" of snow but then the storm moved up north - towards the New Englanders - sorry, guys. (It's *ALL* Beth's fault!)

I am glad you are getting some.

I thought Dave had to work all weekend??

Lily - I can't help my peeping!

It's deadline time - and I actually got the newspaper done at noon today - a day ahead of schedule so we could all watch the Steelers/Pats game tomorrow.

And here I am with a cat crying like crazy, so I had best scoot... btw, I did enjoy making the snow angel. I hadn't done one of those in a long time. It was heavy packing snow so a bit harder to get done, but it was cute and fun to do all the same!

Hey gang!! Bethie...when you wish for snow you are supposed to make sure your sistah in the southern part of the Old Dominon gets it too!! We have plenty of flakes and no snow!! We have had nothing but rain! Now the weathermen are jumping up an ddown about the roads freezing tonight...probably won't tho!

The dance was fun..I didn't recognize any of the music I did separate one boy from a girl. It was funny b/c he was behind the girl and didn't see me coming but his buds did and they were motioning at their necks to knock it off and when he turned and saw me his booty made a beeline for the exit...he did try and make it look cool tho!

Jarrod was great last night! We went out to dinner and he was an angel. Today was hard because we were working around the house taking our Christmas stuff down (I know a day late and a dollar short!) and rearrange our storage areas. So he and Ethan were neglected all day!!

Well, my butt is worn out from working today so I'm going to bed. Please send some snow my way!!

Okay cry babies we did get a cold front in. Its supposed to get down to the 30'as tonight. JRKaren go ahead and send those snow balls on down. The boys will have a fun time with them. I still have 3 or 4 in our freezer from Dec, lol. A memento to hang on to and they arent even yellow!!

Evening, all!

Busy couple of days for me. We did get over to visit my friend last night and dined at Whispering Canyon. Lots of fun! And I found a new topper, woohoo! Check this out!

Today, we went over to Daytona for the Busch testing, and Fan Fest afterwards. The only time I've seen cars on the track was four IROC cars during the honeymoon a long time ago. It's a whole different story when 20 cars are on the track, very cool-major adrenaline rush. Kevin is a gearhead, so he was digging it. Neil isn't as into it.

The fan fest was really neat, however, it started pouring during the driver Q&A. We ended up packing it in, but I felt it was worth the trip. I was able to get Ed's Valentine's present and he's tickled-he's going to the qualifying races in February.

Let's see if I can do this ketchup right tonight...

Stacy, are you on Long Beach Island? My sis used to live in Manahawkin and we'd go over to Barnegat Light!

I've heard from snowy friends all day, they all seem to be stuck at the computers/or calling my cell! Hope you all are coping okay with it...

Karen, hope that smoking thing is going okay. My mom's trick with the frozen chicken was always to make Chicken Cacciatore with it, just dump a few cans of peeled tomato in the crockpot with the chicken! Add some basil, rosemary and oregano and you're set!

Kim, it was sooo much fun at the track. My little gear head got asked a few times who his favorite driver is and he kept saying "Richard Petty", then he did say "Darrell Waltrip"-I think he had the wrong brother.

Bethie, Enough with asking for the snow, girl...just look at all the other yayas who are unhappy. Just ask Dan Murphy to post some pictures of it, okay-I'm sure he'd be happy to oblige! Otherwise, you may have all the northern yayas headed your way to pelt you with the snowballs!

Pam,I agree with you 100%....and I will have 12 oranges in my pillowcase!!!!! We were supposed to get 6" to 8"....which seems to have turned into 6'-8' of snow!!!!

I suppose we were kinda stupid today though....it is Greg's bday and we has ressies for his favorite fondue place downtown Chicago....so we went. It was pretty much blizzarous when we left and we just missed getting clobbered on the way in. I would like to thank the that was watching over us...cause in all reality, we should have gotten hit. And going homewaseven worse....but we are home, happy and snuggled in bed.

I have been out 4 times today with the snow blower and shovel. I told Greg since it was his he didn't have to do anything. What a foolish thing for me to say. But I am sure there will be more snow to attend to tomorrow. We are now under a snow warning til 4 am Sunday morning!! THANKS BETH!!!!!!!!!! We are supposed to get at least 6 to 8 inches on top of the foot and a half that we already have. Have I said THANKS BETH!!!!!!!

I also snow blowed a neighbors driveway to be nice...and all he could say was, you look really cold. No thank you, no nothing!!! Well, sad to say, he has a drift that is about up to my butt in front of his driveway now....and to bad, so sad...I am not gonna look cold again. At least not in his drive way!! And to think, I used to like the guy.

Well, I am off to bed! I am a pooped puppy!!! I am sure I will be up nice and early to clean off the driveway again.......BTW....THANKS BETH!!!!!!!

alrighty i just Fed Exed 100 boxes of snow to beth's front door..think she'll mind? i could send another 100 after tomorrow's snowstorm... why is it when people wish for snow THEY themselves never get any???

ok i cried my eyes out and thought of each and every one of you while doing it too so i hope it's ok if i give you all a huge ok now you think i am all nuts right?? i just watched (most) missed some of it, but i just finished watching The divine secrets of the Ya Ya sister hood...OMG..i cried so much
but it made me feel good too....now i have to see the movie from the beginning to realize what how it all started..

suzanne--nope i am about 45 minutes or so North of Long Beach Island. I am in Island Heights.

well it is 1am here and it is STILL snowing, we had some rain mixed in but it seems to be snowing again..all i keep thinking is THANK MOTHER NATURE that this was NOT the weekend of dh bday party!!! 1 week from today and it better NOT snow so BETH keep your mouth Zipped and your Wishes to yourself!!! thank you....

ACCCCCKKKKKKKKK!!!! I'm back to not sleeping again. This is the third time I have been up since about 10:30. Somebody hit me over the head and knock me out please.

Suzanne that topper is just too cute!!! Im glad you got to go today but so sorry it rained during fan fest. LOL believe it or not the chicken was still partially frozen even this morning. I threw it in the crockpot and made Chicken Wine and Mushrooms. Came out pretty tasty. Tonight is beef strogonoff.

Liz Im sorry you are getting so much snow. Wow you were brave to go out in all that snow. Im glad you were able to get there and back safely. Now who was it that we have to thank for your snow?? I don't think you mentioned it ROFL!!!!!

Well I think Im gonna try and go back to bed and get more sleep. I hope this time I stay asleep.

Good morning everyone! We are up to 18 inches of snow right now, and we still have another 10 or so hours left in this storm (including 2-5 of heavy snow). Hurricane force winds (up to 50 and 60 miles per hour) It's insane! They are saying that this could be the worst storm on record in Boston. The plow hasn't come anywhere near my street in hours.

Beth sure isn't very popular around here this weekend, is she? She had to wish for snow, and she gets a managable amount, and the rest of us get slammed.

Pam, never mind the four oranges in the pillow case. I'm thinking we need at least 40 oranges in a pillow case.

Bethie, you better have eggs, bacon, and cheedar cheese so that you can make us an omelet because you are going to be bombarded with so many oranges you're going to be forced to make us some fresh squeezed orange juice.

Karen, I'm sorry you didn't sleep well last night. I hope you can get some rest today.

But finally, the guy who owns the car walked out of the house, and I swear to God, he looked like Fat Albert. So, I think it's better that they didn't two the car last night, or else I wouldn't have gotten to see Fat Albert brushing snow off his car. LOL.

Well so much for staying asleep. I've been up since 4 AM. It did give me a chance to put on makeup for church so there is a silver lining. LOL my church family isn't going to recognize me since I never wear makeup. I have a nasty cyst right between my eyebrows which has turned into a sore so I covered it with makeup after putting some medicated stuff on it. Well one thing lead to another now Im fully made up LOL. Just chilling for a bit and having a cuppa coffee before we get the kids up and start getting ready for church. I do see a nap in my future for today though.

Already out and got our paper and the neighbor's. Was going to check on the mail for our elder neighbor as she doesn't get Sunday paper and found that there were her footsteps out to her mailbox. She beat me to it! What an independent thing. She is so cute.
