Evening Ya Yas
I hate head colds. In some ways, I'd rather have the flu so I would feel justified calling in sick. As it is, I feel lousy and I'm still at work all night. Hopefully Dayquil will kick in soon. We got 17 cm (umm .. 7 inches, about) of snow, followed by several hours of freezing rain, so the snow is all shiny and crusty on top. Nice to look at but difficult to clear off the road. At least people around here have, for the most part, been well-behaved while driving. I imagine they'll finish clearing off the roads tonight, so Christmas day travel should be ok (and last minute shoppers can zip around tomorrow!). I'm going to attempt ketchup .. my brain is a little fuzzy, so we'll see how it goes. It won't be as good as all the awesome ketchup that's being going on in here today, in any case.
Deena, your boy's coats sound cute. Heck, I'd like one of those (I love Stitch too!)
Suzanne,
JRKaren, lunches in a can don't sound really appealing to me either. I'd love to see the commercial though - heh.
Elaine, sorry to hear you got so much ice! Hope you guys are dug/melted out now. Hope the power stays on too! It'd be a chilly night to be without it! Stay warm. But (after reading a little further) not so warm that you burn yourself! Ouch! Hope you're ok.
lvs_eeyore, I'm glad your the doctor could give you some good news, and I hope you're back to 100% soon. Definitely follow the doc's instructions and take it easy this weekend though!
Pam, I hear ya about the high cost of tuition. Miami also wants me to prove I have enough money to pay for a year while I'm applying for financial aid (well, an assistantship). Um, hello, if I had the money, I wouldn't *need* the assistantship!!

Your daughter is very sweet to visit everyone like that. You must be very proud of her. (And your son, too, of course!)
Amanda, glad you could stay home to work out of the nasty weather.
Sherry - a foot of snow! Yipes! Hope that your street gets plowed out soon. Sorry to hear your MIL won't be able to get in until Monday, too. That's no fun.
Liz, your neighbor sounds like a piece of work. I can understand not feeling 'Christmas-y' towards her! My great-aunt was a bit like that - we wanted to be friendly towards her but she made it really hard sometimes. Hope Greg is on the mend soon.
Lily, sounds like you guys got hammered with snow! A co-worker of mine was headed back to Cleveland to visit his family on his days off and was hoping for a big snowstorm (we're weather geeks, remember - heh). I guess he got his wish.
Tara, that stinks about Sears messing up the pictures. Hope you can get that resolved without too much trouble. Although pitching a fit could be a good holiday stress reliever.

Happy wrapping!

for Nancy and her sick computer. Maybe Santa will bring you a new one.
Beth, sorry to hear you had some stressful days at work. Hope you find some time to relax this weekend, and that you can spend some time with Dave to get those presents taken care of.

to anyone I may have missed. I'm sorry .. cold medicine is a harsh master. Have a good night, and stay safe and warm everyone!
