Merry Christmas Eve, Ya Yas!
I've wandered out of bed for a few minutes to say hi to everyone. I hope this is the worst day of this cold, because geez! I had to cancel plans we had to visit friends tonight because I think I'd only be awake and coherent for about half an hour. I told her it would end up being the first scene in the next big zombie movie - me hugging her and accidentally coughing on her or something. Next thing you know it's Cold of the Living Dead.
Lily, the snow around you sounds so pretty. Hope you didn't get too cold moving it around, though. Those socks sound nice and toasty though. Yesterday when the sun was setting after the storm, it was very sparkly here too. Hope your little hairless puppy is feeling better. Too much excitement for him in the snow?
Pam, yup if I had to pay full tuition .. well, let's just say it might as well be 3 million dollars as 30 grand. No way, no how, especially for 4 or 5 years. Fortunately the programs I applied to have tuition waivers if you do teaching or research assistantships, plus I can apply for grants since I'm doing (hopefully) a PhD. Some ofthe guys I work with are American and what they paid for undergrad tuition just blows my mind, though.
Say, if I'm elected Ketchup Queen, do I get a crown? A sash, maybe. heehee
Elaine, flan sounds tasty about now (although I can't taste much). I'm glad it was worth the burnt fingers.
Nancy - Yay! I'm glad your computer is on it's way back to it's old self. I'm sure you can get it back to the way you had it in no time.
Kristy, hope the weather change didn't upset your sinuses too much. I think the headaches I get from low pressure are one of the things that prompted me to get into weather. At least I can predict them myself now, heh. Your niece is a cutie.
JRKaren, hope your family get together went well. 17 people sounds like a lot of fun (and I'm sure it's 18 in spirit). That dip sounds yummy too, and I would think crackers would be fine for it. Let us know how it worked out. I'm always up for a new dip recipe.
Sherry, have fun at your mom's place. Hope your aunt and cousins were able to make it too.
lvs_eeyore, I hope your weekend of rest gets you feeling better. Try not to worry too much about having to delay some of your holiday stuff because of being under the weather .. it'll just be Christmas extended to next week. Feel better.
Deena, well, at least you didn't have to go *in* the mall. They had pictures of some of the ones around here on the 6pm news. Yikes!
Beth, wow! That's great the way things worked out. Talk about Christmas magic. I hope you guys have a wonderful time!
Tara, that's a shame about your ex not getting to see your son. Hope it can make it there sometime soon.
Rose Mary, thanks - we might go see the Unfortunate Events movie this weekend, then. Hope your wrapping went smoothly.
Ok, I better drag my germ-y self back to bed soon. I just wanted to wish all the Ya Ya sisters and brothers a very Merry Christmas, and to say thanks for letting me hang out with ya. I've only been a part of the gang for a short time, and you've all made me feel so welcome. I'm so glad I clicked in here.
