Hi all... finally home and inside. About to dig out my down throw and get warm. It took about 45 minutes to drive the 9 miles to home (usually takes 20 minutes). Driveway is shoveled too so I won't touch it again until tomorrow evening if need be.

Tara, I am in love with bagless... long story as to why but I do not care to deal with bags. Plus this one is easy... push a button and the bottom gently opens to remove the debris.
Hope your countdown comes true :)

Hi All! Just a quick stop in to say hello!!! Just thought I would bump us off of page 3!!! Just started snowing and I hear we may get up to a foot!! Oh and KathyTX, did I hear something about snow in DFW? Weren't you just saying you know not what we speak of.......well enjoy it while you can!!! Off to take care of the sickie who has evertaken the bed.........

At least he has the furbaby to keep him company!!!

Hope everybody can stay nice and warm!! Safe travels to those who have to go out in all this mess!!!!

Oh liz you're going to get a foot of snow?? Lucky!:)

Hi all. It's been unbelievably cold here and I think I'm a bit under the weather bc of it. Gifts are not all bought but my family is not one to get all crazy about it or feel offended-they've all got a little something coming their way and they get to hang out with MOI puckerup: (and their new son-in-law) so that should be gift enough.;) We're heading down to my parents' tomorrow, then we'll meet up with my little bro for a late jazz set. DH's birthday is Christmas Eve so we'll do whatever he likes that day but will have dinner out with the family that evening. SO it all should be fun.:)

I've been peeking at some of theChristmas morning breakfast threads here and I'm inspired! I think I'll do a quiche and one of these French Toast recipes! (Someone keep the Fire Dept on alert. )

Yes we know Antonio is a hardbody but that's a funny way to describe him, ya crazy. :cheer2:

I'm off to read up on y'all.

Only because of years in Chicago can you not murder me for this comment... but was shockingly good day here at Disney. Started out a bit cool, and ended up getting to mid 70's... just beautiful!

omG!!! Please be careful out there everyone! I just hate driving in snow.:(

:p:p Tah-rah! I have Christmas cards too that...well, Santa may have to sprout bunny ears and lay some Easter eggs before they get to their recipients.:o

ohhh nuts I am hooked on Wife Swap and I've never seen this one!!! I'll have to ketchup later. :o ( i know...pathetic!:o )

LOL! SSB sneated! I didn't know he posted here....ooooh! Is he two-timing the Cheerleaders?:p:p :cheer2:

Thanks for the weather update there....I think.:)

Have seen and admired your thread for a very long time...

Ugh. Tired. Had to post though... been too long since I saw my sig pic. :p

Oooh. Weird. Just had new nails put on. How to women type with nails?! I think I need to learn to type with the nail instead of my fingers. Tried to do some last minute shopping today. Ack!! The crazies are out! I ran home. I'm not coming out again until at least Easter.

Sheesh ya'll are chatty. I am YaYa scum. I can't keep up! :(

Hey there SSB! Welcome to YaYa land! So you and Mr. Incredible are buddies huh?! Well cool! :Pinkbounc Drop by anytime!

John, I'm so sorry to hear about Sue and the minivan! Thank God she wasn't hurt! I hope the mini van repairs are easy ones.

Hey Boo! An early Happy birthday to DH!!

Elaine!! Welcome to the wonderful world of Dysons!! Aren't they wonderful!?!? I owe you a PM, but let me just say... THANK YOU! Thank you THANK YOU!! ... but but... you forgot one thing... a receipt missy! Love ya! XOXOX and stuff!

Caroline, I do hope Univ/Miami does get their act together! Sheesh!

Deena, how are the sick kiddles? Sending prayers and YaYa PD and wishes that everyone is healthy and happy and ready for Christmas!

 to Tara and Lily and Kimmar and everyone!

...Wonderful news about your friend visiting Liz!! I hope ya'll have a great time together!

Nancy's baby boy is visiting!? Yay! Have a very merry Christmas Nancy and Nancy's family! I hope the computers woes are cleared up soon!

Congrats to Cassie for her winning streak!

Karen, how are you feeling? Give those boys a hug for me please! They're such sweethearts!

We had Cam's birthday bash Monday night. Seven boys spent the night. I'm not sure what made me think that would be a good idea. At some point, I glanced out into the backyard to find one of those full size cheapo plastic patio tables hanging from my oak tree. Apparently it was serving as protection from balls being lobbed across the yard. Oooookay fine.

'Night ya'll! Stay warm!!

Liz--Girls are off school so lots of goofing off..
We have actually been doing housework too...

Everyone stay safe...
They let me leave 2 hours early tonight...
Roads are terrible...Just kept her going a steady 20 mph...
Amanda will be staying home tomorrow.. :smooth: ..
No Way I'm letting her go out in this stuff...
I, on the other hand will go in tomorrow(probaly early) so I can return the favor to people that work day shift....

SSB--- ..haven't seen you around in ages...can you send us some warm weather?

Take care everyone..

Hi everyone.

Well, it was bound to happen. Every time DH gets sick, I get sick too. This morning (well, afternoon, since I'm working nights) when I woke up I knew I was 'sick girl walking', and now I definitely have a cold. I'm full of Dayquil right now, so I'm functional, but I'm still in that initial cold stage of aches and general blah. Oh well, who wants to be healthy at Christmas? It's not like I usually am anyway. I hate working nights when I'm sick though, and we have a big snow storm on tap (which is bad for travelling around but kind of good for me since it's not in my forecast area ;) ). U of Miami wrote me back, and someone actually signed it with a name this time, rather than Grad Studies Office. And they wrote in full sentences too! Will wonders never cease. Anyway, they still can't find my other stuff, but the woman said she'd have another look and let me know when it got there. I'm toying with the idea of just getting it all resent, however it's been next to impossible to get in touch with one of my 'recommenders'. Hopefully he responds this time. Gar, this is so frustrating! Ok, pity party over. Time for ketchup.

Liz, how great that your friend can visit over the holidays! That's so nice. Hope you guys have a great time. I may still loose it with Miami. We'll see what their next email says - heh.

Suzanne, hope the Visa thing got worked out. It's nice to know they realllllly want you to have a card, at least. ;)

Congratulations on Cassie's win, Amanda! Hope there's not too much jealousy afoot.

Beth, too bad about the apartment. We moved a couple of years ago to somewhere very close to work and I was amazed how much we saved on gas (to say nothing of saving my nerves from traffic). So staying put is probably a good choice for you. We're finally out of the negative temperatures, but we're gonna get a lot of snow now instead. It would feel more like Christmas if I knew I didn't have to drive in it tomorrow (after that it will be great though).

Tara - Is that math class (the ones with the .. um .. counting difficulty, lol) usually like that? Honestly, teachers must have to have special 'saint' training to deal with that kind of thing. I'd loose it.

Nancy, I'm giving your computer a mental kick in the backside. Hope it starts behaving itself again soon! So exciting that your son is almost home!

Karen, I hope you're feeling better soon. Sounds like a nasty bug you have. Take care.

Elaine, Hope the storm isn't too bad for you guys. I think we're in for a good dump of snow here, then a little warm up, then a flash freeze. The weathergeek in me thinks it's cool, but the person who has to go out in it doesn't! I'm going to contact my University and confirm that they sent the transcripts, but I think their office is closed until Jan 3. I might just try sending it again. At this point, I'm thinking of just letting what happens, happen. I realize their office (U of M) has to deal with a lot of apps, but if they can't even handle stuff like this (and deal with it in a polite if not friendly way), I don't know if I want to go there and deal with the department on a regular basis, you know? At least they aren't my first choice!

Lily, Yup, the other schools that I sent paperwork to (on the same day, no less) all have everything. I suppose if only 1 of the 4 I sent to 'goes bad', then I'm pretty lucky.

Towncrier, sorry to hear about the accident. I hope it's nothing to major.

Jeannie, hope things warm up for you. Quiche and French Toast sound like yummy way to warm up, though.

 SSB!

Kim, maybe you can use your new nails for defence against those last minute shoppers! ;)

Ok, back to work for me. Everyone effected by this big snow/ice/rain storm, take care out there! It's a big one - and that's my professional opinion! ;)

LOL Kimmie--I have had a few of those parties. I found out once that the police came to my house one night (I was in bed sleeping) because the boys were having a sleep over and were swimming at midnight. I guess one of our neighbors didnt like it but I never heard anything. Anyway the police just told them to quiet down--no one ever said anything to me.
Matthew is still feeling a little yucky with a cough and my poor baby Connor is still pretty congested and running a fever.
Hey who sent all this cold weather to Texas?? Sadly we get the cold weather and sometimes rain but we rarely get any snow. Now if I moved up close to Dallas I might get some. Anyway so far its in the 40's and the wind is blowing so hard. Its supposed to even get colder here. Well atleast the boys are getting a chance to wear their new coats we got at MGM. They are so cute, army green with a D on front with Stitch's head and then Stitch on the back too. I love Stitch!

Boo--I like Wife Swap too! but I missed it tonight. I have also been watching Nanny 911--whats up with those moms?? They let their kids do anything and everything and they just stand there dumbfounded?? I want to smack those moms across the head so it will start working.
Beams of Light--hope you are feeling better soon.
Got more Christmas cards--Thanks to all. Just because I dont send you one back doesnt mean I dont love you, it just means I cant seem to get my hiney in gear.

One very tired yaya here, but I've got all but two presents now...had lots of fun shopping and spending the day with the family.

BTW, there are a few toppers I haven't heard Liz or Nancy mention. Piglet and Stitch Christmas! Woohoo, I bought 14 different toppers I didn't have today-kind of a last hurrah, since my discount goes bye bye in a week! :)

I'll probably come ketchup in the am!

Karen, feel better-I haven't even looked for the Christmas Cards. I got two really nice boxes last year and they're buried amidst all the boxes in the garage, lol!

Suzanne

Good morning everyone!

Wow, you all are getting a lot of snow out in Ohio and Indiana. It's going to be 50 degrees but rainy her in Boston. It's nice to get a bit of warmth--it keeps the snow away from here.

Kimmie, good to see you here again. Glad that you survived Cam's birthday bash! Seven boys for a sleepover? And your house is still standing? Wow. Amazing.

Caroline, I hope that you are feeling better real soon. It stinks being sick this time of year. And those U of Miami people better get themselves in gear--what's wrong with them? Geez.

SideshowBob, good to see you pop in here! I think you need to send some of that good weather up to the folks with all the snow so that it will melt a bit.

Elaine got a new vacuum. Cool. I had a bagless one for a while, but I didn't really like it. It made my allergies act up when I emptied it.

Liz, Bethie must have went out and bought you some oatmeal soap because I sure didn't give her any.

John, glad that Sue was hurt in that accident. Hopefully the van is OK too. Can't have anything happen to John's Car Service car now, can we?

Tara, I hope that you make it back down to Disney for your siggie, too. Right now, I'm looking at heading down on November 30th through December 5thish.

Lily, glad you are enjoying my trip report. I forgot to add that I was recognized for my dancing in Epcot on Saturday. I was half waiting for the woman to ask me for my autograph. :)

Boo's cooking Christmas breakfast? What time should we be over?

Deena, sorry to hear that some of your great boys are a bit under the weather. I hope that they are feeling better soon!

Suzanne, you really went topper crazy! 14 new toppers!

Oh my gosh. They just had a little teaser for lunches in a can that are going to be sold in vending machine. They are called canwiches, and they have barbecue chicken and pizza varieties. I can't imagine that is going to be good.

Hi Todd!

Well, that's all for now. Hugs to everyone else!

JellyrollsKaren

Morning all! We are 100% iced in. We are fluxuating between a level 2 & level 3 snow emergency and my HUSBAND won't let me go to work. So here I am at home and taking an unpaid day if need be. Hopefully our management will give us the day paid.

Wow, lots of people stopped in last night!

Howdy SSB :wave2: I was thinking of you when I was down in WDW a few weeks ago... hope all is well at the stand! We won't hurt ya for the comment about the weather there... but could you try to convince my husband to move south? :teeth:
Friends with Mr. Incredible? Very cool!!!

Kimmie, I will play more with the Dyson but so far it is a lot of fun! Easier to push too and sooooo easy to empty!!!! We are learning which tools work best on which of our stuff, but so far it is sucking things up like nothing else!
Receipt??? Hmm... what's that???? (glad it made it there though)
Oh and Happy Birthday to your precious boy... err... I mean man ;) Amazing you survived the night!

Todd, I am so glad y'all are safe! We are staying home too! I saw y'all are in the same "line" for hte ice and stuff. Nasty nasty stuff!

Caroline, I am so sorry you are sick! Get well soon!!! And unfortunately it did get worse out here... oh well, hope y'all didn't get it too bad there!

Deena, if you want cold, our high tomorrow is 12... not to say that it isn't cold for y'all. But I hope it warms up soon!

Yep, JRKaren, lots of snow and worse... lots of ice :( I don't like winter. I know what you mean about some bagless ones... this one does empty differently which is nice and no allergy bothers by that. It dumps out the bottom and no puffs of smoke. That one is a major bonus to me!

Morning Everyone,

Went back to the doctors yesterday. He is concerned because I am not getting any better. He gave me a shot of steroids and put me on prednisone. He took blood and Im waiting this morning to find out what the results are. I should know in about 15 to 30 minutes. He is concerned because my white blood cells seem to be constantly high lately. He had done bloodwork about a month ago for my rheumatologist and was ticked as all get out that the other doctor never called and told me my WBC's were 14K which shows some sort of infection at the least. Whew. I just heard from the doctor. My WBC's are down and the up and down of them is fine....it shows infection. What was scaring me is that my mother was Leukemic and elevated WBC's is a symptom. The doctor told me not to worry that it isnt that because they do go down and go down to normal at times. He said he would worry if they just continued to rise despite what we are doing. Right now I wanna cry Im so happy. I had been a mess all night worring about that since the doctor and I took a cursary look at several years of bloodwork yesterday. He said he went over it in more detail since then and watching what it does shows that it is just part of me and not something more sinister. What a CHRISTMAS GIFT I just got!!!! We also know the Levaquin I am on is working because it is down and that it's just going to take time. I was told NO stress this weekend and NO running around. It is fine for me to go to work this morning because I am only working a half day but then it is HOME and Im to stay there. This is not gonna set well with the IL's for Christmas Day but Im not gonna go against what the doc says and get worse just to spare their feelings.

Im sorry this is such and EIOP. Please forgive me Im not usually this self absorbed. I was just scared, very scared.

Morning! And the Christmas Running-Around-Like-A-Chicken-With-Its-Head-Cut-Off Insanity begins..... :cool1:

Lainey and Tood and Amanda are shipping their yucky weather off to me! :( We have rain that's becoming freezing rain, the wind is howling and it's supposed to switch over to snow. DS's bus was running a little late - but heaven forbid that they just cancel school because it's only half a day anyway......

Liz - since you asked...... ;) DD got all A's and 1 B for the semester! We are thrilled!! :flower:

Wait a sec - Boo is making Christmas breakfast? Quick!! Were are the paramedics with that oxygen? I need revived!!! And Stat!!!!! ;) Happy Birthday to Mr. Boo. We are still waiting for wedding pics. I want to see if everyone thought I looked divine in my MAID-of-Honor Pepto Bismol gown.....

Kimmie - Seven boys over for a sleepover??? What were ya thinking, woman??? :earseek:

Beamer - I hope Miami finds all of your paperwork - the morons. (Okay so I have a bitter taste in my mouth right now with universities due to the high cost of tuition...... )

A big shout-out to SSB!! Ahhhh.... the plot thickens - a friend of Mr. Incredible.......

JRKaren - Lunch In A Can?? Really??? Can you say, "YUCK??!!" I thought you could..... You know - someone will actually buy and eat them, though...

Elaine - I've been reding up on those Dysons....

Nancy - are you through hugging the stuffing out of your boy??? Can you come back and play yet???

Deena - They should let US go on Wife Swap and Nanny 9-1-1!! pirate: Now that would be some GOOD TV!!

Beth - I was going to congratulate you and Dave on the new apartment, but then I read where you're staying put. Manassas is a very pretty area! But I can see where you are coming from with the travel.

Tara, I love, love, love, love, love the photo of the boys with Santa!! Ethan is so bright-eyed!!! :)

I'm off to conquer the world - or at least the dishes!
Stay safe, stay warm, stay happy!! Peace Out....

Morning all. Just sent my manager an e:mail letting him know I was staying home and that if needed I will use a vacation day from next week for today. He is working from home today, I don't have a work laptop to do that. Let work at 1pm yesterday and didn't arrive home till 3:45pm (usually a 30-35 minute drive).

SSB has visited...How awesome! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Kristy....Clay's Christmas tape arrived today. I started watching it last night, will finish today since we are snowed in.

lvs_eeyore....sorry to hear you are still sick. Hope the Dr finds out the cause and is able to get you better soon. No fun being sick at Christmas time.

Morning all!

Haven't been able to pop in.......between running around and the boys taking over my laptop, there has been no time.

We have about a foot of snow here! Under a winter weather warning. Blech. I HATE winter. The worst part is, Junior has to head to the airport to pick up my MIL this evening. The airport is horrible. :(

:grouphug: and mad, mad love to you all!!

:moped:

Karen, I do hope everything will be okay with you. Take care of yourself!!

Sorry about that weather Pam :( I hope it won't get quite so bad for you. THey were arresting/ticketing this morning in Columbus if you didn't need to be out on the road!

Amanda, I did the same thing with my boss. I am not sure hwen he will be in today (if at all). We'll see what he says. I am taking an unpaid day if needed so I don't have to go in next week.

Sherry, stay safe up there with all that snow!!

Oh here are some pics I took this morning! http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2133598316&code=13592752&mode=invite&DCMP=isc-email-AlbumInvite

Well the snow has fallen.....about 6" of it........and the driveway has been cleared. I went out and snow blowed off our driveway. Thought about doing the mean lady's next door and thought....no way!! It really bums me out that did not do it....I was brought up to respect elders and neighbors. But man, this lady is downright roten to the core and I just couldn't bring myself to be nice. Of course I was haivng flashbacks of the day at before 8 am she was banging on our back patio door yelling at us to make our sprinklers stop hitting 2" of her grass!! Yeah, now I know why I didn't blow her snow!!! That's the Christmas spirit!! As mean as she is though, there is a little (very little) part of me that feels os sorry for her. How awful to be an older lady, all by herself (can't imagine why that would be) left to do for herself. It is not like we have not tried to be nice.....we used to cut her grass, blow her snow and just be neighborly......not sure what happend....but man is she a grouch!!

Greg is still not feeling well, and despite my efforts to keep him home...off to work he went!! Sounds like this cold/flu thing is everywhere!!! Beamer, Karen, Deena's boys and anybody else feeling a touch under the weather....feel better soon!! By the looks of Greg, I am sure this flu thing just can't be much fun!!

Let's see, who is snowed in...Lainey, TC, Todd and Amanda...stay safe and be careful!!

TC, sorry to hear about Sue and your van. Hope everything is OK.....and that no one was hurt!! Hope you don't have to go into work today and can enjoy a nice long holiday weekend!!

Lainey, how is that new vacuum? Sounds like we may need to get one! Hope your managers deem this a paid day off!! Nothing like being snowed in for Christmas, huh?

Todd and Amanda, hope you are both able to stay home and relax!! Yeah right!! Like that would ever happen!!! Amanda glad to hear you are not going to be out in the ick!! Todd, please be very careful. SOunds like the roads are horrible!! I don't think our are too bad. We have snow.....but no ice!!! That makes such a differance!!

Pam, glad to hear that Autum is doing do well in school! Those are great grades......especially for a first semester freshman! So many changes!!! Sounds like she is gonna continue to make you proud!! You are up bright and early today!!! Did Gunny decide you needed to be up? Enjoy the holidays and your family time! BTW....thanks for the Christmas picture! I did not picture you looking like that at all. I was expecting a coon cap and .....nevermind!! You have a great looking family!! Thanks for the pic, so now I can put a face to a name or two!!!

Boo, oh boy! Christmas breakfast!! I was thinking about making some of that French Toast stuff too! Sounds so yummy!! I am not sure where we are going for Christmas, but we have 2 invites!! 1 to Greg's brother's house and 1 to his bosses house! I soooooo hope we go to his bosses house!!! That way Christmas might actually be fun!!

SSB, thanks for rubbing in that lovely weather situation!! I have lived in the Chicagoland area for almost 39 years now.....what does that entitle me to? LOL!!! I keep hoping to move south....some day that is the plan here too!! Enjoy your warm weather!! And say Hello to Mr. Incredible for me, would ya!!

JRKaren, LOL about the yummy delectables in a can!! Sounds like you may need to send Pammy a few just in case she gets desperate for some mock road kill. Thanks to whomever for the soap!!! Loved the trip reports as well!! Now we just need to see some pictures!!!

Suzanne, I posted about Stich and Piglet last week! Guess you missed it!! I even think Nancy mentioned them as well!! Easy to miss once we all get mothy!! Glad to hear you scored 14 that you didn't have!! I heard a rumor that there are several toppers headed my way!! I hope that Randy is keeping a good eye out for them as well, as they are at Disney this week and have called a few time to see if I have a particular topper! Not wanting to burst his bubble, I smile and tell him, nope I don't have that one!! I think I am going to have some duplicates!!! In case you may have missed it, there is also an Indiana Jones hat out........I have seen the AKL Mickey topper on Ebay, but not in person....it is a Mickey with a safari hat on, too cute!! When Beth looked she said they were sold out....so you might want to keep your eyes out for that. So many toppers, so little time and $$!!

Kama, sounds like a good time was had by all at your little party there!! What fun....you are kinda starting to sound like Deena and Sherry with all those boys!! Aren't ya glad you just have one! I have no idea how Sherry and Deena do it!!

Speaking of Sherry, how are you? Surving the snow? Hope you have lots of fun with all those boys in all that snow!!

Deena, sorry to hear you are gonna get the cold weather without the snow! I just think snow on Christmas is fun, no matter where you are!! Your boys coats sound adorable! Glad they can get some use out of them...bet you are too....

Tara, is school out yet for you? I bet you must be pretty excited to have a few days off! I mean you were getting to be quite the little traveler there!! I am sure getting back in the grind is no fun! Happy to see you have a new counter in your siggie!! I hope I can put another in mine as well!! Just have to get that job first!! Oh the little things that stop us from doing what we really want to do!!

Kristy, how are you these days? Just thought I would say Hey!! Stop in when you can!!

RoseMary, what is up with you? Are you all ready for Christmas? How is the weather in your neck of the woods. I hear it has been quite cool in Florida these days....at least for you Floridians!!!

Tina, thanks for the Christmas card!! You and RoseMary just make me laugh with those warmly themed Christmas cards! I think if I lived somewhere warm, I would definately to the same thing!!! Maybe next year I can find some that have a nice big chilly gust of wind when you open them.....cause that is what it is like here! Cold, snowy and windy!! Yep it is winter here!!

Nancy, hope you are enjoying your family time! Come back and play soon!!

Bethie, hope you are not working too hard!!! Haven't seen much of you lately either!!

Lily, hope you are not out shoveling!! Hope the boys took care of that for you!! How is the snow situation by you? I can never figure out who lives by who and all that!! Heck, I can't even get all the Kims right.....let alone where everybody lives!!

Well, I can't stand the smell of snow blower exhaust...and that is what I smell like....so I am off to take a shower. I am hoping I am not going to have to snow blow again. I have forgotten how much I detest this smell. I don't mind snow blowing...just hate what I smell like after the fact!!!

Have a great day to all and be safe! I hear it is quite brutal in Ohio!!!!!

Huggles!!!
