Helloooooooo!!! Remember me?!! Tons of work to do before I am out of here for good. Glad ya'll weren't too mothy so I was able to ketchup quick.

Dang, missed that Apolo guy again. He always drops by when I'm not here.

And Betty brought blueberry muffins??!!!! Geez, wouldn't ya know--on a day when I skipped brekkie, too. I don't suppose there are any left for me to munch on the way home??????

Alan, we're in the same boat on the DIS thing--got lots of stuff done, but no Dissing. Hafto give up sleep to keep up!! Keep the grits, I'm a dyed in the wool Yankee girl! And I'll take my oatmeal with no milk and lots of brown sugar, thank you.

Kristy, you are really on top of those thank you notes!!! Good goin' girl!!

Hee-hee, the accent thing!!! It was soooooo funny when my dh and I first talked on the phone together (we met online)--because I was from Virginia, he expected the southern belle with the drawl!!!! Boy was he surprised!!!!!!

Lainey doesn't like blueberries??!!!! Isn't that like un-American or something??!! That's OK, I don't like blueberry anything EXCEPT muffins! Weird, huh?!

Hi CS! How's your day goin"?

Whoo-hoo, Deena and Von gettin' ready for the concert!! Look out, Dallas!!!

Hey, Lizzie! Take a break already!!!

Kim, how's that meditation coming? Are we calm and serene??? No luck with the bathing suit? Wasn't Nemo GREAT!!!! Just keep swimmmmmming!!

Sherry! Lucky you got your dh home and able to take over for a bit.

Hi, Rose Mary! How's things with you??

Looks like it's time to go "play in traffic" and find my way home. Will check in with ya'll later!

 Is Kimmie for real sick or play sick? I mean really, if she is for real sick I feel bad for making jokes :( If she is just play sick then I'm gonna hafta, hafta, WELL do something just 'cause
she's making me worry. Somebody please let me know??????

Hi Beth, doing ok here. glad to be home from work and chillin'.

Sugar on grits? No way, that's for Cream of Wheat! but, I would rather have Maple & Brown Sugar oatmeal.

Sherry, how was your quiet time?

Kristy, what does TTFN in your siggie stand for?

Hi Deena, Von, Lizzie, and everybody else.

Hi Betty and Nancy, too! Nancy, hope you aren't working yourself to hard. Know you been saying you have a big 4th thing but, take time for yourself ok? ;)

Later gang

Rose Mary--I believe the TTFN is Ta Ta For Now--as quoted from the lovable Tigger.
Been a bad day today  Check back with everyone later.

Howdy Kristy!!! I admire your ambition! I wasn't anywhere near as close as you were to finishing thank you notes that shortly after my wedding (it took several months to start )
Kristy, you are really on top of those thank you notes!!! Good goin' girl!!

**fill my ego**...lol nah.....y'all are giving me way too much credit ;) My boss is on vacation this week and I have nothing else to do....so might as well do something that really feels like "work". :jester: :jester:

Hmm....blueberries. I like blueberry muffins and pancakes...and that's it! I'm not eating them like the are off the vine.

I must have done a bad ketchup...what concert is Deena and Von getting ready for.

Yup...Deena got it right Rose Mary. TTFN is Tigger's "TA TA FOR NOW"

Has Kim revived now??? Lizzie...did ya survive the day with the kids?

hi yahoo's! where is everyone? Kimmie? Booboo? Pam? Deena? anybody? hhhheeelllloooooooooo??????

oh, well i'm not really going  although i really wish i was. deena is going to a concert in san antonion and its a tad too far away from me (boston).

Hi all,
First I have to lodge a complaint around here. You should know I'm on a diet that started this morning and all this talk of food is killing me. My head already hurts from lack of sugar (or anything else good for that matter) and then the bluberry muffins, the grits with sugar (i prefer butter and syrup), cream of wheat, oatmeal, eggs bacon. Geez I need to sleep now so that I don't get go raid the fridge!!:) :D

Long day, my grad school classes are good but they are very stressful this week ( I think it is me and not them) Still trying to figure out if I can graduate in May with the rest of my cohort. If that is the case I will be in more classes than I know what to do with. Including my ft job and pt job and my son. He will think mommy has deserted him!

Glad everyone is having a good day. What happended with Jeannie's car? Any news yet?

Nice that the your boss is out this week Kristy. You can Dis and do your notes.

Nice to meet (ok well not excatly meet) Kimmie and CrazyboutDisney.

Sorry your day has not been so good Deena (I read the siggie today!! **patting myself on the back!***)

Oh, I've noticed people telling more about themselves. Let me add my 2 cents (not much more than that!!!! lol)

Name: Tara
Age: 32
occupation: Full time Teacher of the Deaf in middle school 6, 7, 8 grade core classes and remediation
Part time TDS castmember for 5.5 years
Child: 3 year old Jarrod (read Terror)
DH: Have not met Mr. Perfect nor have I met Mr. He'll Do. Looking though
School: Enrolled in grad school for a Masters in Reading Remediation (thank god not spelling). hope to graduate in May with the rest of my cohort but if things don't work out then will graduate by 2010!!

Anything else I should divulge to the yaya's? Never been arrested, married, or big time trouble.

I do have a question for the rest of the yaya's and then I will quit rambling (actually I took Fiornial for my head and drank a diet pepsi and the caffine has me wired so i can't help myself) What is the story with the ketchup? I figure there must be a yaya story in there somewhere.

Okay done rambling. Time to let someone esle talk!

Another Ya Ya history lesson

Ketchup was a word used by a Ya Ya (I believe it was Jeannie or Karen) that was used in the place of catch up as in catching up with reading all missed Ya Ya pages. We thought it was cute and we started using it.

Also, bluebery muffins and all the food we talk about here in Ya Ya ville has no calories and we all look gorgeous in bathing suits.

Tara, I am a substitute teacher for the middle/high school level. This past year I did a 4 1/2 month teaching for 7th grade Language Arts. I have learned to love the middle school child.

I am 46 and have been married to DH for 23 years. We dated 5 years before we got married. DH works in Florida and I live in Ohio. One of those strange job situations that had to be experienced because of the economy.

I have 2 teenagers. DS is 18 and just graduated and will be attending Ohio University this fall. DD is 15 and will be a sophomore. They are opposite in personality, grades, and everything else.

Hope this helps you feel more comfortable with our language and with me.

Hi ya'll!

Rose Mary!!!! GASP!! NOOOO!!! Don't run him offfff!!! *Kim collapses into a heap on the YaYa living room floor. Just step around me folks.... could someone maybe just put that throw rug over me? Thank you. I have no reason to go on now...* :(

Hey Tara! Nice to "meet" you too! The ketchup thing... well, that's a little contribution to the YaYa vocab. that I believe our sweet lilboo is responsible for. Ummm.... if you go to a post by LucyStorm, you'll see a link to the YaYa dictionary. Those are all words that from time to time, you may see an "old" YaYa use. :p

Hi to Kristy! So you DO have an accent after all? :p None here. Californians don't have accents. I don't think. Hmmm... I dunno.

Hey Sherry? Wasssssup?

Hi Alan!

Lizzie, I'm feeling much better now thank you!!! :) Oh... Rose Mary. I actually really was dealing with some weird heart palpitations last night. It's not a new thing with me, and not serious, but still extremely annoying.

Hi Elaine! yep, definitely a weird few days for me. I've decided I'm done with weird days. They throw off my groove.

Hi CS!

Bethie! Nemo was awesome!! LOVED IT!!! No luck on the swim suit front. They all hate me. It's a conspiracy.

Hey Von! I'm here. Sort've.

We're telling stuff about ourselves now?? Ummmmm... nope. Don't wanna. I'm going to be a Dis enigma. :teeth:

Betty, thanks for the heads up on the no calorie yaya food. I was really sweating it!! I'll take muffins the next time they are offered and I wont feel guilty!! Also, bless you for going into the middle school! I always swore I would never go to middle or high school full time because they are obnoxious. Well, I have found my niche and am very happy. They can be very obnoxious but they are also trainable. The kids I get are normal IQ but they come to me a bit on the rowdy side, they feel they can move around the room at will, talk while I'm teaching and generally do as they please. My assissant laughs because it only takes about 2 weeks before they know my looks and my rules...and then life is good. sometimes they are still a little hard headed but I don't mind because I like a good challenge. I do have some other students with more significant disabilities. One has mobius syndrome where she was born with no fingers, must use a g-tube, and can't move her mouth. But she is the sweetest child (well teenager) and she is so good. I just love her! I have another with Treacher Collins syndrome. She has had almost 30 surgeries and she still doesn't look like any of us, but she is precious even to look at. so there are some demanding aspects of it, but I love it 90% of the time! I could not teach the mentally retarded, those people have more patience than I could ever muster. enough rambling. must do lesson plans. Will come back to ketchup later!!!

tara

Von we are going to the concert in Dallas so thats a little closer for you so now you can go! :p
Kristy--I'm taking my 2 teenagers to see Staind in Dallas. Its my oldest ds favorite band and they are not coming to Houston. So my children are lucky enough to have the most wonderful mother ever ;) who is driving them 4 hours north to go see a concert.
Im also taking them to Summer Sanitorium with Metallica in Aug.
Tara--Im 38 and my boys are 16 (in Sept) 13, 3 and 1. Im very happily married (2nd time around). I must have been smoking crack my first time around cause I picked a winner

Hi all... just bought a new recumbant bike today... helping my sweetie put it together so I have to run. Just wanted to say hi.

I am EXHAUSTED!!! What, between all the KETCHUP, getting up early to make my sweeties chocolate chip pancakes, and spending the day at Six Flags Great Adventure (see, told ya I was gonna be in Jackson, NJ!!) and coming home in time to whip up dinner for the family.....hey, Kimmy, glad to have you back....I AM rather PO'ed; ya didn't even give me an honorable mention, and, after all those great PIX I posted for ya....:((I thunk we wuz BUDS!)

'Laine ~
What the h--- is a recumbant bike, a bike that you have to do over and over and over and over....oh yeah, that's REDUNDANT!!!

Ok...my turn....most everyone knows the scoop...but for the new yaya's.

26, spoiled, bossy(product of being an only child), newly married(5/31), and moving into the new house next Saturday. I work full-time as an administrative assistant for a major pharmaceutical company here in NC, and I'm in school part-time to finish my BS in Business Management. Grew up here in NC so my blood runs Carolina Blue :) not Duke blue or State red...ICK ;) Avid college basketball watcher and now a Nascar fan. I've started learning how to like Sci-Fi tv shows (Stargate SG-1 is pretty darn good). Otherwise I like watching junk tv(reality shows like Big Brother and American Idol).
As for hobbies....reading when I have time, jigsaw puzzles, experimental baking, and collectibles. Dopey the dwarf and Winnie the Pooh are cool but my true collection of knick knacks are all dolphin related. Oh....hubby and I have some sort of thing for collecting stuffed animals. Brought back 10 of them from our WDW honeymoon.

TA DA....that's me in a nutshell.

Tara...question for you. Is Downs Syndrome considered mentally retarded? Our new neighbors daughter is Downs, so I'm trying to learn what I can about it and possibly tips for how to understand/comprehend what she's saying b/c she has a lysp(sp?).

Looked in against my better judgement, but a recumbant bike is one like this
