Thanks everyone for the congrats!! My parents were excited for like, the first 30 seconds, then they told me I should keep it up. My mom is in Washington DC from yesterday to tomorrow (does that make sense?), and they were talking on the phone about it. I'm going to be gone all weekend, so I think they might be taking me out to dinner whenever I get back (which would be Sunday evening...).

Thanks again!!!!! I'm still on cloud 9!!

Has anyone ever had those little wrapped chocolate cubes called "Ice Cubes"?

I LOVE those things!! They remind me of Eskimo Pie chocolate with the way they melt in the mouth!

Also , has anyone tried the new "G" collection of Chocolate at Godiva? There kinda expensive, but well worth it. They're hand made and hand painted . Yum!!!

I just went to the godiva site to take a picture of the chocolate ad post it for us to eat.. but they have their images protected and won't allow a copy of the beautiful chocolate... BTW we were at the Godiva store on Sunday and have a few tastey morsels to munch on ...

I love all chocolate too, Godivas are great, with a history from Belgium. Yummie.

DISingforBUSH, I hadn't heard about that, I will have to ask our office in belgium what is going on. It is probably in Brussels (where the sprouts come from ) because of NATO's location. It is not necessarily the Belgians point of view. MOST of the chocolate makers have no political aspirations other than the spread of confections...

Thanks! Hey has anyone had that Chocolate Cake they have a TGI Fridays? I don't remember its technical name, but it has layers of chocolate cake, chocolate genache (spelling) chocolate mouse and a cheesecake layer . Super yum!

pfishgirl, tatertotcasserole, that sounds really yummy, care to share the recipe. My DH is a very meat and potato's eater, his only saving grace is that he loves chocolate, as a matter of fact his birthday cake will be chocolate with chocolate frosting.

Sorry the tatertotcasserole isn't me....SLO made it !!!

welcome newbies!!!! this means i am NOT a newbie anymore ???

well it is snowing here like crazy, however so far, not too much on the roads..thank goodness. BUT, we were told to expect 7-9 inches now instead of 4-7 although the weather channel don't seem to know their butt from their elbow because they are never right.
I can predict the weather better then thy can..

well off to make some Hot Chocolate!!! ds will be home from school any minute and he'll be wanting the computer... we gotta get dsl or something.. maybe if i wish really hard for dh to stop being suca a baby about a higher internet price he'll wedge open his wallet..LoL..gotta love him!!! he takes me on cruises

I'm warning you all now I'm about to PMS and I need, need, need chocolate. And I will confess I've been known to push smaller people out of the way to get to a Mickey bar stand at one of the parks. (can you tell I'm cranky). My attorney is going to advice the school to send DS out of district (which means a specialized private school) and it kind of through me. I mean I know he has major issues but I was always hoping he could stay in the neighborhood school. Oh well done whining. Thanks for letting me!

Thanks for all the yummy chocolates that have been delivered over the last few days. I hope some have been left for me to sample.

Thinking about chocolates from Belgium.I once went on a school trip to Belgium (we were supposed to be going to Holland but the tug drivers went on strike so our ship could not dock! So we ended up in Belgium!!) Anyway we toured the chocolate shops which gave out free samples. The only problem was that I had given up chocolate for lent!! I was so proud that I did not give in and sample any!. However my friends collected samples for me and put them in a box so I could eat them after lent had finished!!

I really needed hot chocolate today as we had lots of snow and it was my turn to do playground duty. I had great fun though building snowmen and throwing snowballs.

My dad has a favorite chocolate shop in Antwerp. Every time he goes rthere he stops by, the Patronne comes out, gives him a hug, and asks how many Kilos he will need this trip. They make it to his specifications, and some of his ideas are actually top sellers.

Oh well, I guess I need to go home and pick up food...

BTW, I go back to the eye Dr. on 4/14, he said my vision has gotten much better!!!!
