Welcome Gift for Gold Member?

I've just been reading about the possibility of a welcome gift for Gold Members, has anyone stayed since the new Loews scheme came in, just wondered what you got in your room, if anything?
 
Thanks for your reply. Were you able to choose your welcome gift or did they just bring the milk and cookies to your room?
 
Have you signed into your Loews (you first) program? A lot of people have been having problems, so you might want to go ahead and make sure you still have your gold status before you get there.

I do not think you get to choose your amenity anymore, I do not see any options to choose from anymore.

I DO know that the HRH regional gift has been a HRH chocolate and tin with a HRH pin for the last 5 years, lol.
 

Oh thanks for that, no I haven't been over there since the changes, I will pop over and make sure I'm still Gold! Thanks :thumbsup2
 
OK, I've just logged into the YouFirst webpage and on looking at my profile, it has my membership number then says Member after it. Should that say Gold Member? Thanks :D
 
It seems that you are at the basic level with you first. Do you have your Loews first card, or anything that states you were a gold member?

FYI, the different levels are:

member
blue
gold
platinum
 
They let me choose the gift and then let me call when I wanted to receive it.
 
disneyfreakk - I'm definitely Gold, I had the card sent to me in the post about 3 months ago. I've emailed them so hopefully it will be sorted out soon. :confused3

higgyman - thanks for that, it's good to know they still do the Welcome Gift. Do you mind me asking what membership level you are on the YouFirst?
 
Am I being thick but my profile doesn't show my you first no or my status. I emailed and they told me I was gold byt that was with 3 night stay for September which I have cancelled. Logged on again to site tonight and still nothing that shows my no or status.

check out the other thread about the loews youfirst

many of us have posted there and talked about our issues of not listed as the correct level.
most of us on platinum level got demoted to member only which has no amenities.

after sharing emails, we realize it was a computer glitch in the change over from the loew first program to loews youfirst program.

i suggest you send an email to the address link in your profile section on the loews youfirst program.

that is what most of have already done.
within a reasonable amount of time, we individually received a corrected email from loews explaining our status and the correction of our listing.

eventually, yes, the glitches will work themselves out.
but if you are concerned like we were, send an email.

it appears loews has worked on the members that have sent the emails in quite promptly.
 
coastergirls - your status is next to your membership number in your profile details, about a quarter down the page, I couldn't find it at first, I was expecting it to be at the top of the profile page like it is with other schemes I belong to. Hope that helps. :D

you have a problem then with your status.

right below your name on the profile page, is your member status.

if it says member then that means you have to have 2 separate stays within a 12 month period to be upgraded to blue status.
then the chart will show you how to rise to each new level.

use the address on the youfirst section.
you should hear from them soon.

i am assuming you have been to a loews hotel with in the last 12 months.

Call them and ask what your membership status is. Any reservation person should be able to tell you. What is on your profile page does not seem to be matching what you really are. Mine states member and I am platinum in their system.

This is what I did. When I was making my reservation, I told the reservationist that I thought I was Gold, but I wasn't sure. She asked me if I knew the program had changed and I said yes, I had read that. I gave her my Loews # and she said "You are Gold". I'm going with that.
 
Thanks. I had already emailed them last week and I am gold with my upcoming stay in September. I have had 2 qualifying stays 4 nights within a year. I am keeping the email which states I am gold. I had thought problem would have been ironed out by now so I have emailed them again with my concerns. Like everyone else my date of birth was wrong initially. I had logged onto loewsfirst just prior to changeover to change address and preferences.
 
Just got back from a few days away,and found an email reply in my inbox. They have amended my status to Gold and updated my Profile as requested. :thumbsup2

Coastergirls - hope you get it sorted out soon.
 
Thanks . A few more emails back and forward. They next stated I was blue. I then asked why I still couldn't see my status or number. I have just received a lovely email from Kathleen who apologised for the glitches and comfirms that she has made my status gold and that it will remain gold till Dec 2009.
