Hello, I apologize if this has been posted before on here.

We are going to Disney this November and my boyfriend is 6'2 and 260 pounds. Will he have any difficulty on getting on any of the rides (space mountain, SDMT, splash mountain, test track, soaring, etc)?

Has anyone on here had an experience where they were asked not to ride?

Please delete if this is not allowed on here, I just want to make sure we are prepared.

7DMT might be too tight.
I have heard of tall people being uncomfortable on Space Mountain.
One we did not expect was Kali River Rapids. The harness was not big enough for my husband and he was not able to ride. This was new for us because a few years earlier, the harnesses were a little different and he was able to close it

Thank you so much! I didn't even think of Kali River Rapids!

Don't worry, he will be fine. My husband is 6'2" also and has fluctuated on the past from 230-260ish and has never had a problem. We go to Disney every year so he has been on the rides at all different weights. His only issue might be leg room on Splash, Space, etc but otherwise he will be fine. We haven't been on Kali River Rapids in years because we don't like getting that wet.

Thank you!! Despite the leg room being cramped, did he feel okay on those rides?

please do not worry! My husband is tall and weighs about 220. But I am heavier.
Some rides do not have a lot of leg room and can be a bit uncomfortable (Space, Splash,) but there has not been a ride my DH or I can not ride.
Rock n' Roll is roomy for weigh size, but my DH's legs (He has long legs) hit the seat in front of him, so it is tight that way...but again nothing he can not handle for a few minutes.

PLEASE do not worry at all.....I have seen people much bigger than your DH on rides. Mine Train is tight, even for me, but as long as you get it to click once you will be fine.

Enjoy!!!

Disney is one of the best places to ride for larger people (both height and weight). Agree that SDMT might be tight, but that's mostly because of height and really dependent on exactly how he fits in the restraint--he should try it.

Thank you so much for your encouragement and assurance!!!!!! It is his first time going and I just want him to have a magical experience!!!! When we went to six flags he was barely able to go on anything.... luckily Disney offers MUCH more than thrill rides!

I'm heavier than he is, and too big for everything with a test seat at Universal, but the only thing I'm even tight on at Disney is 7DMT. The restraint leaves bruises on my legs. For rides with seat belts, I pull them all the way out before sitting down and then buckle them. Helps a lot. Star Tours is a challenge because the buckle is under the arm rest.

My brother is 6'6" and >400 lbs (you'd honestly never know by looking at him - he looks smaller than most people over 100# less than him). He can ride everything at WDW (although he says some rides are pretty uncomfortable, esp 7DMT, but it's a short ride so he said it wasn't terrible).

Thank you so much! We are going to Universal for one day, he is mostly interested in Harry Potter World. Did you have any troubles on going in the castle ride there?

Hubby is 6'9" and fits on everything. Legs are tight on some, but not so tight to be uncomfortable for the short duration of the rides.

Last time DB was at Uni was before HP opened. But like a prior poster said, he couldn't ride most things with a test seat there. IOA especially was pretty much a waste for him (too bad since that's our fave Uni park). I have read reports of heavier individuals not fitting on the HP castle ride, but idk how big they were.

As a side note, I was ~27 weeks pregnant during our most recent trip to WDW, so I couldn't ride most things. I still had a great time. (We did skip Uni since we feel like those parks are more about thrill rides.)
