WEGOSHOP.COM was the BEST!

Here is what it says:
"WeGoShop.com believes in keeping our children safe and without addiction. Because of this, we will ask for ID. when delivering your purchases that may contain alcohol, tobacco or lottery products. The person accepting the order will be required to show proof of age with either a valid State or Military issued identification card. The legal age to purchase alcohol, tobacco and lottery games is dependent upon your state. As well, depending upon local laws of your area, the purchase or transportation of alcohol, may not be available."

We all know the "BOOZE" question was on everyones mind from the beginning of this thread....finally someone had the guts to ask it...admit it :teeth:

GO PATS!!! :cheer2:

Thanks for the answers to my "booze" question! ;) There will be no need to rent a car now. Thanks again. :sunny:

SO, if I understand correctly I need to be in the room when they deliver? We aren't arriving until midnight and I was hoping to have groceries delivered and waiting for me when I arrive. Anyone know if that is possible?

You absolutely have to be there when wegoshop delivers so you would either have to have the delivery the next morning, or send down a box of stuff before getting there and then get perishables seperate. Wegoshop does not charge you until they deliver because they shop and then bring it right to you. They then show you the receipt and add on the fee. They could not give you an exact total for your items to pay in advance so that is not an option with them. I think the only service that does this is the DVC members grocery delivery service and that is for members only.

Thanks Carrie, that's what I figured. It sounds like a great service, though, so maybe I'll just try to figure out how early they can deliver and hold off until the next morning. I don't suppose the kids would be too upset to have to find something at the Boardwalk Bakery for their first breakfast :earboy2:

MMM Boardwalk Bakery! Yeah, that shouldn't make them tooo upset! Have a great trip!

You don't have to be there! We just ordered(yesterday) from WeGoShop and aren't getting in till late and they are delivering them earlier in the day, so they will be waiting for us when we get there.

Becca emailed me that the latest delivery time is 7pm...

How is that possible? First of all they can't deliver them unless they have your room number and if you are not checked in they won;t have your room number. Second of all how are you going to pay them if you are not there? Also their website specifically says:
"Unless other arrangements have been made, someone must be home to receive your order and pay for the groceries and service. Your groceries are shopped for on an individual basis, meaning that we do not shop for anyone else's order at the same time as yours. If no one is available to receive your order, your groceries will be stored appropriately, but you may subject to a re-delivery fee."

So what special exception did they make for you? Are they going to notify you after the shoppig is done of the total and allow you to pay with your credit card over the phone? This sounds like they only will store your groceries if they come to deliver them and you are not there. It does not sound like they will drop them off and just leave them with bell services for you. We had to call them AFTER checking in to let them know our room number so what is their plan when they deliver your stuff?

Maybe this is something new they are trying since I'm sure so many people come in late. I had to fill out an authorization letter saying the max that they could charge my CC for. And they don't need a room number to drop it off at the resort, they just need my name. They will leave it at Bell Services. They said that my CC will be charged after they drop it off and they do automatically add on a gratuity charge as well.

Oops! That is me who replied right above. I didn't realize I was signed on as my dd.

Interesting. I would imagine this was a special thing they did, especially since they did tell zurgswife that the latest they could deliver was 7pm and did not offer this service to her. How nice that they are able to do this for you though! What great Customer Service!

CindyBeth, That is most interesting! I know we often leave our groceries with Bell Services to be refrigerated until our room is ready, so I don't see how it would be a big problem to have an order delivered ahead of time. And since my flight doesn't leave until almost 8pm, I could easily be in touch with WEGOSHOP during the day to finalize the transaction. It all seems pretty reasonable to me.

I would love if you could report back on how it all works out. Have a great trip! :flower:

No problem! I will tell you how it went when we get back! :earsboy:

glad to see this many replies dealing with wegoshop. nothing that would make me madder is having to delay my trip to a park to go grocery shopping since in my real life i am a grocery store manager. we are going to go with wegoshop

Thanks so much for posting this. Our flights get into MCO at 9:15pm. The CC and bell service drop off will be perfect for us.

I had never heard of WEGOSHOP until I read this. Once again DIS'ers come through. Thanks. You are all the best! :cheer2:
