Hi all! Just wanted to wirte a little post thanking you all for recommending wegoshop! We used them Sunday 1/23 to have a bunch of stuff from Super Wal Mart delivered to OKW (which we also LOVED by the way). They were great! Arrived just as scheduled and was very easy and friendly. Worth every cent! There is no way I will ever go shopping in Orlando if I can use wegoshop. just wanted to say thanks to wegoshop and to all of you that recommended them!

Glad to hear about your experience. I plan on using them in december. Susan

We can't say enough good things about them. Glad to hear it went well.

I am so happy to hear all these great things about them! We usually get a town car and do a grocery shop. For our May trip, we are probably going to use Magical Express and use WEGOSHOP.

About how far in advance do I have to notify them?

Glad you had such a great experience!

How exactly does wegoshop work?

It is a personal shopping service. You place an order with them, they go shop and pick everything up and deliver it to your resort at the time you specify. They will call you if something isn't in stock and they will shop the store you want. Their fee is very reasonable for the time it saves you. Check out their (Link)

This could save me tons of money. Give someone a list and let them shop for me instead of going in and buying things I see but don't really need! Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to bookmark this page and get back with them before our trip.

ANYTIME up to 72 hours prior to arrival. I asked them the same question about three months ago and they said I could send my list then if I wanted to!!! In the end I sent it about a week ago. :)

I guess I'm just being thick. I looked at their form, but how do you know what the store carries? Products carried up here in Chicago are probably quite a bit different than those in Florida. Is there someplace else to look to see what product the supermarkets stock?

That was my same problem until someone told me how it works!!! You don't actually check off stuff like on other sites. You have to actually write up a shopping list...just the same as you would do at home. I'm planning on going to the grocery store for the express purpose of making a list of the exact things I want. That way you get pretty much what you want. As long as you stick to nat'l brands you'll be fine. Or I would imagine that you could specify 'any brand' or 'cheapest brand'. The thing I like is that I can also order fresh foods or dairy products, since they deliver at a time I know I'll be in the room and able to refridgerate the stuff. Much cheaper than buying from the on-site shop!! Then, when they deliver your groceries, you pay them. Incredibly simple.

or use the pool like we did until the agreed upon delivery time. They showed up on time with everything from dairy, fresh fruits and veggies, frozen items.

Becca was freindly, polite, helpful....did an additional stop on our request. The service was awesome, the delivery fee is cheap and we used them again in the middle of our vaca and we will be using them the next time we go to Disney :cheer2:

For those of you who have used wegoshop.com...do you recall which supermarket they shopped in for your groceries? I imagine it might have been a Publix...or from my memory of when we lived in Pensacola it could have been an Albertson's or Winn Dixie...
Honestly, I am not really picky...DH is. I am converting him though...he used to be a name brand only, no coupon kind of shopper...now he undestands the meaning of saving a buck or two.
We were contemplating a limo with grocery stop for our first trip home in December, but with the Magical Express option free...I think the shopping fees at wegoshop would be the better deal.
Do you know if the actual shopper buying your groceries is able to contact you on the spot? You know, give a call from the cell phone and say..."Sorry, Mrs. Smith, the store does not carry Ben and Jerry's Tutti Frutti Banana Chocolate Chip ice cream. Would Ben and Jerry's Mango Crunch Punch sorbet do?" If so, that would be awesome...just like home when I send DH to the store..."Honey, I can't find the petitie diced tomatoes..."

Thanks DVC family for another option!

Does anyone know if they will take a Deli order? Will they pick up fresh bread and rolls from the in-store bakery dept.? If they do, that alone would make it worth it!

If you go to the website they list the sotres they will go to. I think even if you request a specific store they will go if it is not too out of the way for them. They went to the Wal mart Super Center for us but they listed Publix and Winn Dixie I think as well. I am sure they would do the deli if they are at the sotre, i did not see anything saying they wouldn't. Best to go to the website and send them an emai,l it lists the names and email address of the people that run the wegoshop in the Disney area. They are great and very prompt in answering any questions via email.

just had to say thanks for the info! Now I have something else to plan. ;) Plan, Plan, Plan!

Am I to assume that the Walmart Super center has meats & produce. I don't have a Walmart like that around me here at home.

I happen to be in the room to get the call. There is a spot on the order form to tick if you would allow substitutions, which I did.

Many people are talking food brands etc., since we are from Canada many of the brands available are foreign to me so a substitution was not a big thing. We are not that fussy either so if it was Wonderbread great, if not, that is fine too. I think that basic concept is that we ordered commercially prepared white sliced bread, and it arrived that way. We ordered six oranges and we got six delicious oranges and so on. It was like a grab bag full of groceries

Dont get me wrong I did specify in the special instructions " Heinz Ketchup only :teeth:

I will be using wegoshop again

I think they will-look over the FAQ on the site. I am pretty sure it says alcohol and tobacco as long as the person accepting the delivery is over the age limit.
