Wedding Songs! Post yours!

Our first dance song is going to be Everything by Michael Buble. That is our song and my ringtone for my Fiancee.

Metallica with "Nothing Else Matters" That is me and my hubby's song and was our first dance at our wedding. That was the least surprising part of those nuptials. :)

Since we are doing DCL. We were thinking about Frank Sinatra's Somewhere Beyond the Sea, if we can have a first dance. If I can wear my Belle dress then we also def have to have Tale as Old as Time.

I really like the Spectromagic Parade medley for walking down the isle, and Zip dee doo dah for the finale.

Nothing is def yet..

Your not alone on this, we re having it played too :thumbsup2

Can someone tell me what the Rick Roll is? I'm so intruiged and confused!! :rotfl:

The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra was the song for our first dance. What a great song to dance to...spent several months of dance lessons choreographing the routine, but it came off fantastically.

The Rick Roll thing was an internet joke. You would see a link that would say something shocking and you would click on it, and it would bring you to this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0 Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up. It became quite the cultural phenomenon last year culminating in a real life Rick Roll in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wL-hNMJvcyI. This is my favorite instance of Rick Roll genius - the Barack Roll. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65I0HNvTDH4

And that is the long and short of the Rick Roll and why I'm doing it! And steal away if anyone would like to!

I think we are going to do At Last by Etta James. I'm not really sure as this changes weekly. We have like top 5 songs that we are trying to decide on which are our favorites. So we are going to make a CD that has like our top 10 love/fave songs on it. That way all of our songs will be shared with our guests.

Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole's version on Somewhere Over the Rainbow. You can hear it here:

It makes me feel light and at peace the same way my DF does.

Us too! It's such a peaceful song. It's suppppperrr long though so we're telling the DJ to have everyone join in when it seems like we've been up there for too long.

We're having Everything by Michael Buble too! I love him! And then we are ending the night with Everything by Lifehouse. We can't remeber when but at some point early on in our relationship we heard that song and it became very special to us. I thought it was kind of fun that both songs are called Everything! :lovestruc

We are going to dance to "Crazy Love" by Ray Charles and Van Morrison. Very funky collaboration and DF loves it. He always wants to dance to it in our kitchen lol!

My sister used "The Book of Love" by Peter Gabriel. It was such an amazing song!

No clue on what DF & I will be using, but we've got plenty of time to think about it! :thumbsup2

We used "When You Say You Love Me" by Josh Groban. We also considered "It's Your Love" by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw and "In My Eyes" by Josh Kadison (IIRC). There are so many beautiful songs to choose from, but the words of When You Say You Love Me are so perfect for us.

lol i thought ages ago that 'so close' from Enchanted would make a beautiful wedding song.. and it seems other people on here do too! :)

recently i've also thought "can i have this dance" from hsm3 would be a beautiful duet for a wedding ("it's like catching lightning, the chances of finding someone like you.. and with every step together, we just keep on getting better")

i love the idea of having 'so this is love' or 'a dream is a wish your heart makes' instrumental to walk down the aisle to :lovestruc

hmmm now if only DBF though about proposing, i could put my disney-themed wedding plans & wdw honeymoon plans into action!! ;)

Barbie princess:

We danced to Sarah Vaughan's version of the Antonio Carlos Jobim song "Wave." It starts out slow but then has two uptempo breaks, so we were able to surprise our guests with some swing dancing in the middle. :cutie:

We danced to "Push" by Sarah Mclachlan. My dh danced "little wonders" by Rob Thomas with his mom & I used "my girl" by the temptations with my pops.

Ours will be "Feel's Like Home" by Randy Newman and "Could Not ask for More" by Edwin McCain.
